There’s a demon loose in the city. One with a vengeance against all otherhuman kind, vampires especially. When covens start dying, Quinn and the gang realize there’s a connection to these deaths and Zane. Desperate to seal the demon back into its own world, they venture on a quest that leaves them with more questions than answers.
So this installment of the Sin City Sanguine series gives us a look at new type of otherhuman that we weren’t introduced to in book one: demonkin. They’re not quite demons or humans but something in between. I loved the whole idea of demonkin, and by the end of the story, Ryker became my new favorite character. He was protective and caring for a demon which was both sweet and surprising. I also loved Lydia. Her strength and resourcefulness was just as wonderful in this one as the first one.
I was admittedly disappointed in Quinn this go around. She was my favorite in book one, but by the end of this book, I was screaming at her for the decisions she made. When she’s around Zane though, it can’t be helped though I’m crossing my fingers that she’ll gain strength by the end of the series.
Just like book one, Ryker is suspenseful and will keep you on the edge. Fantastic cast of characters, and a cliffhanger to make sure you stay on the ride for book three.

Oh, things are getting crazy now!! Vampires, witches, hybrids, demonkins, and a disembodied cyclone of evil out for destruction!
There is so much going on in this story, that I'm not going to even try to summarize it and spoil all the fun for you! All I can say, is that my loyalty was with one character at the end of book one, and now? Now, I think I love Ryker. Yes, I know, he's a demon in a human body, but dagnabbit, he's HOT! He's sexy in a pale-skinned, demonic shape-shifter kind of way, and he's so protective over Quinn. She has no idea how lucky she is! I am pretty mad at her right now, if I'm being honest. I actually uttered "What the.... are you doing, Quinn?"
You need to read Zane before you read this one. But, trust me - you'll be hooked on this series just like I am!! What an amazing cast of characters! Oh, and be prepared for a bomb of a secret to be dropped! Have fun reading! I can't wait to sink my teeth in to the next one! (See what I did there?)
