SoulTracker Book #7 Saleem was never all about the risk. But he isn't about to deny that going back home without backup was reckless. He lied to Mel. He didn't ask Logan for help. And now he's up crap-creek, just forget about the paddle. The first rule on a mission to save a city is to avoid getting caught. And Saleem gets caught. What he sees when he arrives is a city decimated both by neglect and by ruin. But being inside the palace helps him find out a little more of what's been going on in his absence. Division 7 is running the show, little brother Riz is a puppet king, a vicious mind mage is torturing Saleem's memories, and the people of the city are disappearing. Saleem must do whatever he can to help Mel, Logan and the team to get inside the palace and get him and his brother out alive. But nothing is at all as it seems, and the city of Kamsin holds a secret of epic proportions. Saleem just needs to stay alive long enough to find out the truth.

I have been a writer from the time I was old enough to recognise that reading was a doorway into my imagination. Poetry was my first foray into the art of the written word. Books were my best friends, my escape, my haven. I am essentially a recluse but this part of my personality is impossible to practise given I have two teenage daughters, who are actually my friends, my tea-makers, my confidantes...

My heart is currently broken in two. One half resides in South Africa where my old roots still remain, and my heart still longs for the endless beaches and the smell of moist soil after a summer downpour. My love for Ma Afrika will never fade. The other half of me has been transplanted to the Land of the Long White Cloud. The land of the Taniwha, beautiful Maraes, and volcanoes. The land of green, pure beauty that truly inspires. And because I am so torn between these two lands - I shall forever remain crosseyed.

I love talking to my readers so email me if you have any questions or even if you just want to chat...

Okay so, while I'm suuuuuuper happy we finally got (a lot) more of Saleem *happy dance* I'm on the fence for this one.

The story takes place from the time he infiltrates Mithras in the hope of getting out his brother and together get rid of Division 7 till Mel saves his ass. So it's the same timeline of book 6 but from Saleem's POV. This would have been a great 6.5 novella, but not a full book as part of the series.

The problem I have is that it brought nothing new... at all :( Saleem was being treated as a punching bag and as a torture subject for Ward and his goons all the while hoping he could still reason with his brother.
There were some interesting tidbits offered near the end of the book, but I feel I need to rehash some of my points from my review of book 6: where is Division 7? A handful of people? That's it? They know the rebels are up to something and they don't get in extra reinforcements? That doesn't add up.

And another point I made before: maybe its time to let all POV flow together into one story. Because in my honest opinion, it's hurting the quality of the story as it is right now :( When you read a book in a series you don't just want to read the same thing as the other POV without some added value in the form of (for example) some crucial information you otherwise wouldn't have had or the introduction of a new character that might have some influence on this story or books to come.

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and don't get me wrong, I don't want to be a negative Nancy, I really do love the whole DarkWorld series! The books are well written, the pacing and flow are really good. But... I don't know, I just wish this book had more of an oomph, more of an impact. So here is me hoping book 8 will be kick-ass! :)

Most of the time when reading a T.G. Ayer book it can be picked up mid-series and work perfectly well. In the case of Soul Bound: A SoulTracker Novel, Book 7: A DarkWorld Series (DarkWorld: SoulTracker), is strongly recommend against it. As those who have been happily following along know, “Mission Spring-Saleem-from-Captivity” is covered in Book 6. This Book 7 gives Saleem’s perspective on the whole affair. For those fellow readers I can promise sheer pleasure as this really is a wonderfully written book and it’s total fun to see things through Saleem’s eyes. For others I strongly suggest starting with Book 1 in the series and then moving forward in sequence. You’ll have a total blast and, when you do reach this book, it will be much more powerful. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "SOUL BOUND" T.G. AYER another amazing job writing this story from Saleem's POV you get more background on Mithras as what's going there.
Saleem is taken prisoner by his younger brother Rizwan who had been taken over by Omega 7 and destroying his people in the process, and having Saleem tortured by Agent Blake and a Mind Mage Ward.
This was very interesting, intriguing, exciting, intense drama filled storyline with very well developed characters I love Saleem and Mel together the next book which I can't wait to read is "BLOOD BORN" Logan's story and their journey continues.
I definitely recommend this book actually the entire series is a must have it won't disappoint so well worth the read.

I love this series and this book is no exception. It was great to see what happened from Saleem's perspective while his group of super-duper paranormal and supernatural friends prepared to save his sexy behind. It made the story that much more engaging for us to see from Saleem's eyes how this whole debacle came to be and how he was rescued. Even though you know how it will all end, the book kept me turning pages anxiously needing to see what happened next. I am already anticipating the next book in this series! Note that each one of these books can be read on its own but I do not recommend it. If you had not read #6 before reading this one, part of the story would have less of an impact and I am sure that is not what T.G. Ayer intended. There was just no need to go into details that were covered in the previous book. Instead, you get a summary or a synopsis of sorts. Either way, it does not take away from the story. Especially those scenes with his Soul Tracker girlfriend, you see from Saleem's vantage point just how deeply he cares for her.

I liked getting to know Saleem better and ‘seeing’ what he was going through while the rest of the gang got into gear to rescue him. What I didn’t like was that there wasn’t really anything ‘extra’ added as this book sits in the same timeline space as the previous book. While a few teeny tiny crumbs are dropped towards the end- that’s it. So while it was a good read, it feels as if the author is trying to stretch out the series.

Now here is a series that once you begin it you will not get enough of it and wait for every one that is added to the series. As each one comes to us we see it become more fuller and keeps us longer. Oh and the friends that come into play in this one all for Saleem. Oh we are reminded where his heart belongs. You get much pleasure from this one because of the POV. Drama will be abound with it captivating us. I went through this one but already wanting the next one.

Jailed Djinn

Saleem, crown Prince of the djinn, is imprisoned in his own home, betrayed by his brother and by the order of Division 7 and Omega. Mel, a soul tracker and his heart, refuses to leave him there. The fight to free him is a trip full of enemies, danger, and non stop action! Loved this book, and all the books in this series.

This is the 7th book in this series and still going strong! you can read this book as a standalone but really is better if you read the rest of the series to get thte most out of the books. This one was about Saleem's view of his capture and then his rescue by Mel and the team. Written very well great characters and world building have really enjoyed this series looking forward to more !

A good story which fills in a bunch of details that I missed in other stories of the series. Saleem's character  shows magnificent strength. Mel makes a few cameo appearances.

Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Scary. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Wonderful characters.

I received a copy of this book as a gift from the author. This is my honest review.

I loved this peek into Saleem’s mind and what happened to him during his captivity. I really enjoyed seeing things from his perspective and discovering what happened in this homeland.

Lots and lots of action going on in the book from one mystery to the next. Saleem is fantastic and so is Mel. Both have grown since I first started reading the series. I love the world build and look forward to reading more of the stories in Dark World Universe.

This book goes over some events that occurred in a previous book, but from the point of view of Saleem.

It adds more depth to understanding what each character saw, did and felt.

I look forward to more books in the series :-)

Tee has created a more rounded view of Saleem's rescue. I was glad of the insight into the rebellion on mithras. Saleem continues to show his strength of character and how his upbringing has made him into the djinn he is today.

Ummmm

Not sure what happened with this book but its repetitive and only is slightly modified with a different point of view from book 6. Sadly half the book is samples of other books. This book and it's purpose is confusing.

Not my favorite of the series but it did give a different perspective of the previous book. I’m invested this far so I will complete my journey with the next few books. This actually felt like a long rehash of what I read before.
