Holy Shit !
First of all Shin chan is my favorite cartoon show. I grew up watching and still watches it occasionally. All majority of jokes are censored in my country language but Shin chan is just funny by his looks and acts.
Well about this manga, this is raw and wild. Shin chan is crazy brat. Mom and Dad are always living in nightmares.

A 5 yr old boy who can never think of anything the way it should be though, who messes up things with out knowing, who always is planning something incredibly naughty: Oh come on, unless you have to deal with these in real life, how can you not love Shinchan? A cute cuddly little boy with a head like potato with a brain of blunder in it. Shinchan is the boy we always want to be if we get another shot in our childhood. It might be a disaster for the household but its fun for him right? And the loveable part is that its not as if he is devilish, he is naughty with a new meaning to it!
Delighting short stories + splashing characters + cute crayon drawings = gold!
P.S. If you hate him because you have watched the shitty cartoon series, please forget about it read the Manga.

Crayon-Shinchan is a laugh-out-loud series with the main character being just as memorable as the devilish Denic the Menace. Highly recommended.

So tell the truth. You love Shinchan, right? I mean, what's not to love? He's a five-year-old obsessed with, well, pretty much exactly the same thing that obsesses most guys whose ages end in the number five (15, 25, 35, you get the point): what happens under people's clothes.
OK, maybe I should back up for a second. For anyone who hasn't turned on Cartoon Network lately, Crayon Shinchan (or Crayon Shin-chan, or simply Shin-Chan) is an anime series based on the manga of the same name by Yoshito Usui. The show (and the manga) centers around the antics of five-year-old Shinnosuke Nohara, an adorable little creep who makes life hell for his poor parents (as well as anyone in the immediate vicinity). Shin-chan is always doing or saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, whether it's drawing an elephant face on his crotch (I don't really need to explain this one, do I?) or hiding in his principal's car, then threatening to claim attempted kidnapping.
Often, the anime gets you to laugh (in disbelief, if nothing else) simply at the absurdity of Shin's sheer audacity, and the manga functions in much the same way. This inaugural volume consists of short 3-page chapters, most of which are standalone "stories, all united under the title "Mom and I Are Best Friends." Understandably, most of the hijinks here revolve around Shin torturing his poor mother, Misae, though another cycle of stories, "Kindergarten Is Paradise," begins toward the end of this volume.
The black and white artwork is crude (though there are 8 pages of color), but that crudity is very much in keeping with the vulgarity of Shin himself. A more refined style probably wouldn't make this nearly half as well.
A warning note: Crayon Shinchan may look as if it's a book about a kid drawn for a kid, but it's absolutely not. CMX clearly labels the book with a parental advisory sticker, and the advisory is warranted. Crayon Shinchan features nudity, sexual humor, and adult language. This one's decidedly NOT FOR KIDS!

In addition to the comics material here, there's the standard "you're-reading-this-book-the-wrong-way" page, as well as two short text features, one on the manga itself and one introducing the Nohara family.
Recommendation
All in all, if you're looking for a little lighthearted (but naughty) fix of Shinchan, it's hard to go too far wrong with this title. This certainly won't be to all tastes, but if it's even remotely up your alley, I'd recommend picking this one up.

Walaupun komik terjemahan ni dah ditapis, tapi masih ada kelucahan watak budak gatal bernama Shin-chan ni. Perangai tak senonoh dan nakal dia kadang2 buat kita nak rotan budak macam ni 😌.
Lukisan watak untuk beberapa babak permulaan ni agak hodoh sikit, ni adik saya cakap la dan saya pun setuju hehe. Pipi Shin-chan belum tembam dan rambut mak dia belum kembang kedepan lagi. Lama2 pipi Shin-chan pun tembam akibat selalu kena cubit kot. Tapi kepala dia tak kekal benjol keatas pun walaupun kena ketuk beberapa kali.
Yang seronok dan lucunya versi terjemahan melayu ni, ada beberapa kata nama yang ditempatankan, contohnya masa mak Shin-chan bawa dia ke pawagam untuk tonton wayang cerita raksasa kononnya. Tapi filem tu sebenarnya filem cinta bertajuk Sembilu 2. Lawak weh dia melayukan tajuk filem tu, memang kena elok haha.

Funny and amazing story..
It can make you laugh when you read it for the first time and start think ... "Is there any kid just like Shin-chan..??"
Well if you interested in comedy, this is the book which i recommended.
Sometime it has a good advice behind the story.

Akhirnya terbit versi Elex...!!! Selama ini tidak pernah tertarik untuk beli yang versi bajakannya...
Btw, seperti halnya seri Natalie, komik ini dilabeli Bimbingan Orangtua. Banyak hal-hal yang don't do this at home soalnya...^^

So, I picked up this manga because I adore the tv series and I was not disappointed. It's exactly as strange as the show, and Shin is just as ridiculous.

It's about an absurdly naughty 5 year old named Shinchan and how he tortures his family and the people that he meets. This kid is Calvin on steroids! I love it.

Crayon Shinchan adalah salah satu anime favorit saya setiap hari Minggu pagi tiba. Pada awalnya, saya mengira tayangan Shinchan itu untuk anak kecil; tapi seiring bertambahnya usia,saya menyadari ternyata di komik atau anime-nya memang diperuntukkan untuk remaja dan dewasa.
Dan, ketika tahun 2004, pertama kali saya beli komik Shinchan yang volume ketujuh atau yang ke berapa gitu, lupa. Dengan polosnya, saya membacanya di rumah dan ternyata benar saja, cukup banyak adegan dewasa dan tampilan perempuan seksi di dalamnya. Untungnya saat itu, pikiran saya masih bocah dan tak terlalu memikirkan adegan tersebut. Selain itu, beberapa hari kemudian setelah membeli komik tersebut, saya baru sadar di depan cover-nya ada tulisan "17 tahun ke atas".
Pada 2021 ini, saya baru ada kesempatan untuk membaca komiknya yang volume pertama. Tingkah Shinchan yang saya rasa seperti dewasa sebelum waktunya ini memang ngeselin. Ibunya pun juga seakan tak habis pikir terhadap tingkahnya. Namun, di sisi lain, komik ini memang menghibur.

Basically the story is about Shin-Chan, a kid who likes porn and makes the lives of those around him hellish with his attitude and antics, both on purpose and by accident. His mother is vain and sensitive about her small breasts, his father wants to chase other women, his teacher is lonely and desperate, and Shin always comments and says horrible things to everyone. Sometimes the jokes are clever and funny, sometimes they are too obvious, sometimes they are way too raunchy for me. I don't quite get why this comic is so popular.
I read it because students were recommending it again, and I gave the series another chance. How wild that this has so many movies! Note that this version of the book is pretty poorly done, with explanatory notes unreadable as they are cut off at the bottom of MANY pages.

Re-read untuk kesekian kalinya. Komik ini memang juara untuk bikin orang terpingkal-pingkal. Cocok banget dibaca kalau lagi sedih atau depresi, ups.
Keseharian Shinchan yang digambarkan di volume pertama ini simpel. Kisahnya berkutat di rumah, di sekolah dan lingkungan sekitar rumah. Namun dari premis yang sederhana ini bisa dibuat sangat jenaka.
Tapiiiii komik ini tidak cocok dibaca untuk anak-anak. Baiknya jauhkan dari jangkauan anak-anak, karena banyak banget adegan kelakuan nakal shinchan yang khawatir ditiru anak, humor yang hanya bisa dimengerti oleh pembaca dewasa, bahkan ada beberapa adegan vulgar, bahkan adegan ranjang juga ada di volume 1 ini, huehehe... so be careful!

Komik Jepang jenis baru yang saya nikmati pada masa kuliah, menceritakan keseharian anak-anak Jepang tetapi dengan "keluguan" jenis baru yang cenderung "Kurang ajar" dan absurd kadang saya berfikir ini konsumsi anak atau dewasa....tapi sangat menghibur dan menginspirasi :), edisi awal terbitan di indonesia kualitas bukunya tidak terlalu bagus karena banyak halaman yang lepas dari Jilidnya, sempat terhenti penerbitannya....saya tidak mengikuti lagi dan akhir-akhir muncul kembali dengan penerbit lain.

That's the best way I can describe it, really—a lot of the humor is similar to Dr. Slump (Dragon Ball is even briefly referenced), but the contrast between premise and content recalls South Park. It's a lot less deliberately provocative than that show, but the general idea of children who act age-inappropriate is present here, years before Stone and Parker's debut.

This rating applies to all volumes. I read the entire collection in around 3-4 days. One of the most enjoyable and hilarious reads ever. The TV show was a big part of my childhood and being able to read the entire collection now in my 20s brings so much nostalgia to this read aswell. Easiest 5 stars i have given so far.
