About the author

Remington Kane

Remington Kane is an American author that writes action-packed thrillers. The author might be unfamiliar to some people because Remington Kane is actually a pseudonym for Donald Wells.

Donald Wells has garnered a reputation for writing darker and somewhat serious novels about killers. The author was born in New Jersey. He never really left and has since made a home there. Like most of his peers, Donald Wells was an avid reader as a child.

He spent many an hour devouring every book he came across. And it wasn’t long before he began to yearn for the chance to write. Like many aspiring authors, Donald Wells knew he had the capacity to tell stories. However, he was a little hesitant to venture into such uncharted waters, not only because he didn’t know where to start with regards to writing a book but also because he didn’t have confidence in his own ability to produce compelling fiction.

Again, like most notable authors, Donald meandered about for a while. Rather than going into publishing the first chance he got, Donald tried his hand at various odd jobs. He worked as an insurance salesman, a Real Estate Sales person, and even a Retail manager.

The jobs, though seemingly meaningless in the grand scheme of things, did wonders for the author’s writing capabilities. Whether he was driving trucks or cleaning floors, Donald gained insight into the workings of the world.

He met unexpected people and heard their intriguing stories. He came across numerous strange encounters and even participated in some of them. He essentially dipped into so many unique aspects of life that it came as no surprise that he had more than enough stories rattling around his head when it finally came time to write his first novel.

Not that many authors can claim to have been offered a chance to act as bodyguard to a drug dealer. Since getting his first book sold, though, Donald has finally settled in his career. The author loves writing novels and there is nothing he else he would rather be doing. The fact that he has found a way to make money out of his passion makes him one of the luckier individuals in the world.

By the time Donald Wells began writing as Remington Kane, he had already become established as a novelist with numerous thrillers under his name. However, writing as Remington practically took over his life.

This is because Donald has achieved more success writing as Remington Kane than he did producing novels under his real name. Kane is best known for the Tanner series of novels. Tanner is a hit man who accepts a job to take out a mob boss.

When he is betrayed and thrown into prison, Tanner thinks of little else besides getting revenge. And once he finally gets his freedom, the hit man becomes a one man army, engaging in a brutal way against a crime organization known as the Conglomerate.

Each new book sees Tanner raising the stakes by finding a new target that will sting the Conglomerate in ways they couldn’t possibly fathom.

Remington Kane has been praised for the Tanner novels because Tanner is such a refreshing hero. The protagonist is so average physically, devoid of the exaggerated traits that most action heroes seem to bear. If not for his natural fighting and survival instincts, one would be hard pressed to tell Tanner apart from any other ordinary man on the street.

Wow. 'The Man, The Myth' Blew me away. The story line was very thrilling. I don't know how Mr. Kane comes up with these incredible scenarios but I'm thrilled that he does. I knew Tanner was smart, but with this book, he is actually brilliant. So much regarding Tanner changes and nothing will be the same. I loved how the story played out. Full of action, thrilling scenarios and some very interesting characters. I can't wait to read more. Definitely a must add to your tbr list. Highly recommended.

This Author "ROCKS"

Every single one of his books are "can't put down type". I am thrilled that he stayed with unlimited. I would sorely miss him if he left. There is only one other Author I have enjoyed this much and that is Clive Cussler. He has the best characters in all his books and you want nothing more than to have his stories go on and on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

This is Legend

There are a lot of things at work here in this story and boy are they some good ones! The writer puts us on the path with all the pieces on the board. When you kill the legend, trust there will always be some.doubts. We.are in for treat, with a special occurrence happens and its a win for everyone. Tanner and Sara are set to start a new life, but first they have to carry out a plan that only a Tanner can come up with. The writer continues to keep us in the action and on edge, and we love it!

Who was that Masked Man?
In the twenty-fourth installment of the Tanner series, Cody and Sara are busy getting ready for their wedding day and trying to establish his identity as Cody Parker. The outside world, however, is eager to uncover his alter ego, Tanner. With a little help from his friends he is able to confuse, kill, or otherwise discourage the hunters, be they good, evil, or just curious.

Another good episode about Tanner

This series never disappoints. Good characters that you’re interested in. Always a good plot. Have to admit I was concerned about Cody and Sara having something go wrong. Good tension. Liked the ending a lot. Recommended. Now I’m waiting impatiently waiting for #25.

Excellent tale.

These books are great for passing enjoyable time. This book was more convoluted than usual and I really enjoyed it. Mr. Jane's mind is devious. I plan to continue the series as it usually has a surprise of two I didn't see coming. For a relatively fast read and a pleasant time I recommend this series.

THE MAN THE MYTH:Book 24

This with a great book! It involves all of the people, Tanner considers family, and people from his past and it involves criminals that will appear in his future and then the question is how long will he be Tanner as it is now he’s Cody Parker and when he’s behind his office desk, he’s Tanner. And what a great ending.

Mediocre writing

Once again a very simplistic story line. Needs less circumlocution between the characters and more explicit action details killing off a few of the lesser characters will make reading less cumbersome

The man, the myth

Most of the story sounded like myth as the hero never makes a mistake and his plans all work to perfection. The series may have seen its final action and parenthood takes over.

Great

As always, great story, characters and relationships. Could not put it down. Remington is master in this genre. Just sad that I can read them faster than he writes them.
