Product Mindset
To build products that people love, you need to know your customer better than you know your best friend. Better than you know your parents. Better than you know your spouse. You need to understand the conditions of their lives, and the intricacies of their state of mind as they undertake the journey your product takes them on.
This knowledge is not innate. Even the best Product Managers have to work hard to understand exactly who is using their product, why they are using it, and what experiences they have when they do. Inside ‘Product Mindset’, you’ll hear from a select group of Product Managers at top companies on how they get inside the mind of the customer. You’ll learn not only how to acquire this knowledge, but also how to translate this knowledge into concrete, real world results.

Product Mindset might probably be the only book that has a common theme across all the articles collected, out of all the ebooks that Product School Compiled.
All the articles talk have a common theme across the book, which is the customer.

Good intro to product management, if you’re working in a startup you’re better off reading Running Lean by Ash Maurya (probably worth reading both actually). Very little depth to this book although it appears to be a teaser/brochure for their courses.

I just want to know if anyone will learn user interviews after reading this book?
It's a total waste of time! This book is to give examples, how to do, how to form a systematic approach, not a word ~

The book provides a pretty nice approach for beginners to keep up with the current way that famous products are developed.
What I like most about the book is that it directly states "What are the key findings? How mentioned products apply the findings". You literally can not find a single line that is unnecessary. That is straight-forward, actionable and time-saving.
Some general takeaways for me from the book:
- Be customer-oriented. Solve customer's problem. Or prepare to disappear from the market.
- Yes, AI will replace humans in the workplace, once human still stays on the current comfort, inefficient and repetitive work process. Stop worry, move forward, pals!
- A leader of a product team must successfully lead the team and the product. Remember to communicate smartly and convincingly.
What I do not like about the book is that it's like a combination of a bunch of articles written by famous authors. When it comes to a book, I think it's understandable to expect a well-connected structure, where everything both serves its own purpose and still contributes and be well-connected to others. And yes, Product mindset is partially insightful.
