Two British soldiers, one Polish mobster and an American computer hacker. Each with a past full of trauma, hate, loss and pain. All with a need to fight against corruption. Every one of them ultimately saved by a woman just as damaged as them. But you need to ask yourself. Just who exactly is saving who?
Deacon, Tomek, Charlie and Jordan. It was only a matter of time before these charismatic, broken and flawed men came together into one sensational series. Four determined men. Four tenacious women. One hell of a journey. Welcome to the Damaged Alphas.
I’m born and breed in Leeds, West Yorkshire in the UK and love nothing more than curling up with a good eBook or stroking and petting my signed paperbacks. By day, I’m an export manager. By night a writer of hot and saucy romances, with a little angst and a smidgen of Yorkshire humour. Undoubtedly, targeted to the adult audience that love a hot ass guy and a real woman. I like to call it giggle smut! I love everything that the book world has to offer including the charismatic fans, bloggers and authors who continue to amaze me. It has been a total revelation. My moto... Dreams Are Real, Imagination A Necessity - Love to Read. Live to Write. And I have the tattoo to prove it.
Each book is about a different character however they all follow on. (Book 3 must be read before 4).
The guys all have a troubled past but they are all completely different stories. This book isn’t about finding the perfect Love. It’s about working with what you have. We have raw stories and men that have met their match.
It’s filthy, raw and full of grit.
Kindle Unlimited read. This is intended for an adult audience.
After rescuing a guy who is all beaten up, realising he is someone she knew at school who she had a crush on, then finding out he is still the arrogant jerk he was back then, Tessa discovers she still likes him despite that. Deacon is arrogant, he also has his Demons. Time in the Army has left him with PTSD, nightmares and a need to forget, which brings him to being beaten and dumped. This is not a straight forward romance but more of a love-hate, hurt and beg forgiveness story, lots of angst and trust issues go side by side with the hot sexual hookups. It is a story with depth, there is a lot under the surface not apparent at first. You want to be angry at Deacon for being such an ass but the more you get to know him and understand why he is like he is the more you grow to understand and love him, you want him to trust Tessa and talk to her explain everything. I was gripped by reading and didn't want to put it down even when I was screaming at Deacon to sort himself out, I found it disturbing but moving, it made me think hard about all those suffering flashbacks and headaches because of PTSD. I feel for anyone going through these issues, scared to risk relationships in case they hurt without meaning to, wary of unexpected noises or crowds that can send them in a spiral out of control. Tessa is strong, feisty and loyal to those she cares for even if they don't deserve it, seemingly. Great story and well worth reading.
Gosh both these characters deserve to get some happiness and love. Full of powerful emotions and events with flash backs from both Tomek and Allie, this story does contain some violence. Full of suspense and intense throughout with a plot that doesn't stop, it is fast and edgy. I am not going to much more as I don't want to give away any spoilers, but if you like something a bit dark that keeps you on the edge of your seat at times then I would suggest reading this. I would also suggest you read Deacon first as he does appear in this book as well and some of the storyline crisscrosses. Great read and another book I really didn't want to put down, one that also had me one-clicking the next book in the series and jumping straight into reading.
Powerful and suspenseful in places this is full of drama and is an emotional roller-coaster filled read, it does cross over in places with the two previous books and it ends with a really edgy cliff hanger. Boy this author knows how to reel her audience in and keep us there, especially with this ending literally leaving us hanging. I do know the follow up is being written at this time and I believe will be out in September 2018, I for one need this like yesterday. I do feel you need to read these books in order to gain the maximum enjoyment and understanding of the events that take place, yes a few bits you read over the 3 books but from different perspectives, I didn't have any issue with that and would still commit to the whole series again. This does contain some violence, abuse and could be upsetting to some readers. I have gained full enjoyment and investment of the series as a whole, been glued to each page throughout and loved it
Wow, emotional read that often had tears running down my face. It is full of suspense and has an awesome twist right at the end that had me really needing more. This does tie in with the previous books in the series especially Charlie, so I do recommend reading them in order from the start. The characters form all the books play a part in this one and we get some conclusions and answers, the flow is not quite as fast or smooth but only because some parts cover the different characters and what is happening in their events as opposed to just Jordan's, I don't feel this affected the enjoyment in any way in fact it helps build up the anticipation for his part of the story. My heart bled for him and what had happened in his life, it hadn't been easy. What a conclusion to a series, it just left me both loving and wanting to shake the author. If you enjoy something with some deep emotions, suspense and being kept just a bit on edge then I recommend this book and the previous books in the series, oh and a warning you are going to fall for Jordan big time
