Yvonne has been through the ups, downs and all arounds to get to where she is now. She is forever grateful to the Masters family for taking her in and giving her a life she could never have imagined. Being thrown into the foster care system at 4 years old as she was ripped away from her beloved Grandmother by the police, she has risen from the trauma of those years to become the best version of herself. She is blessed with healing gifts bestowed upon her before she was even born. Enlightening others on the importance of keeping the faith, learning to forgive, maintaining an attitude of gratitude is so important always. Having a sense of humor is also part of her healing. Her goal is to reach out to other kids in the "system," and maybe some struggling adults to let them know that they are not alone. Sharing her story took a lot of courage but she feels it is part of her mission here on Earth.
This memoir really was touching and heartfelt. I think it shows an honest look on children growing up in foster care and the deep emotions that these individuals carry with them. I am a huge fan of Yvonne and hearing her story makes me admire the beautiful healing work she does.
