Michael Newton

Unlike his two previous books, Michael Newton's "Life Between Lives" is not primarly a continuation of his case studies of souls hypnotically regressed to the Spirit World, the schoolhouse of the eternities.
Instead, in the interim since 2002's "Destiny of Souls," Newton has largely focused on the training of spiritual regression hypnotists, and this book is a sort of primer on the procedure of that particular type of hypnosis, which goes much deeper than other kinds, thus revealing not just past lives, but our eternal lives and identity.
There are a few new nuggets found in a select number of newly-revealed case studies, but for the most part, LBL is a shorthand review of JOS and DOS, focusing on the hypnotist and his procedure. It includes Newton's own methodology and yields fascinating insights into how a hypnotherapist goes about regressing a subject and how to help that subject recall their Spirit World experiences; a look behind the curtain, so to speak, only this Oz is the real deal.
Highly recommended for those contemplating spiritual regression or hypnotherapists seeking to expand their practice to include Newton's teachings for accessing the Spirit World.

I love this book! This led me to meet one of the practitioner listed in the book, and experienced a past life and life between lives regression few years ago. Those were awesome lifetime experience!

Fascinating work by Michael Newton. To get even more perspective upon the work in this book, check out Destiny of Souls and Journey of Souls, where he documents HOW he received this information, over 40 plus years of working with over 7,000 clients in a deep theta wave regression state. It took a significant amount of work for Michael Newton to compile case studies and reports of individuals in the life between lives soul state to gain what he feels, as a former atheist, is an accurate representation of the spirit world. He also states he realizes this is just the beginning of this work and believes our knowledge will continue to evolve. The therapeutic elements of LBL hypnotherapy are far reaching. I very much look forward to attending The Newton Institute Training in CA in April!

As someone who has done past life regression it was amazing to listen (audiobook) to the process more in depth. And now I want to schedule another appointment to do it again!

The idea of many lifetimes seems universal, to me - a lovely and natural idea. An existence between incarnations makes sense in the face of this belief. I had a difficult time, though, accepting the majority of this book. Perhaps it was that the examples were chosen for sensationalism rather than enlightenment...what horrible images of murder and rape and suicide seemed to fill every past life mentioned. With the hundreds of thousands of lives and the billions of people who live and die in quiet, every-day struggles, I find it hard to believe in the horrors that filled these stories. The book did nothing to expand knowledge of greater purpose, nor put forth any philosophy or ideas on how to better oneself or one's life, or alternative points of view of the self in relation to the world and the universe and all other beings. In fact, the book seemed to slant toward satisfying a deeper greed for self-importance and justifying self-centered fascination. That being said, though, the book was another voice testifying to the need for personal meditation, and another illustration that the quest for purpose and understanding is universal.

To już ostatnia z trzech książek, jakie posiadam od Michael’a Newtona i zarazem najkrótsza z nich. Cały cykl poświęcony był jednemu, bardzo obszernemu tematowi, jakim jest regresja duchowa.
W każdej z książek autor opierał się na przykładach i wnioskach, do jakich doszedł po przeprowadzeniu własnych sesji z pacjentami i rozwinął opisy tych zjawisk. W dwóch poprzednich publikacjach (“Wędrówce dusz” i “Przeznaczeniu dusz”) skupił się znacznie bardziej na samych pacjentach, obrazach, jakie uzyskali podczas sesji i na wyjaśnieniu swoich wniosków.
To kompleksowa wiedza, której podsumowanie stanowi w pewien sposób “Życie między wcieleniami”. Z jednej strony nazwałabym to podsumowaniem, dlatego, że jeśli miało się styczność z pierwszą, jak i drugą książką, wiedz na przedstawiony temat jest już wystarczająca, dlatego w tej książce nie ma już, aż tak dużo wyjaśnień poszczególnych zjawisk. Oczywiście zdarzają się, ale zdecydowanie nie w takiej ilości jak poprzednio.
Tutaj znacznie większy nacisk jest na samą pracę hipnoterapeuty. Newton zawarł masę pytań, jakie mogą być użyte na poszczególnych etapach sesji, co na pewno było ciekawym urozmaiceniem i pozwoli spojrzeć na badany przez niego temat od kuchni.
Po skończeniu wszystkich trzech książek uważam, że było to naprawdę ciekawe doświadczenie i pozwoliło mi to spojrzeć na tematykę wcieleń i dusz z nieco innej strony. Oczywiście ze względu na specyfikę nie będą to książki dla każdego, ale myślę, że kluczem jest podejście do nich z ciekawością odkrycia innego postrzegania kwestii wcieleń.

Like the other Michael Newton books. I find this one to be inspiring and thought provoking. This does not have the case studies that I was hoping it would have, but it does kind of give you a guide if you're going to be doing the hypnotherapy. As far as what to ask and if you're the patient what to expect. I still find this to be so dead on to what I believe and have always believed that it excites me to read these things and it makes me hopeful that this is not it and that I am right and I've always been right as far as what happens. Next is concerned and there's nothing to fear. I just don't know how many people it would take saying the same thing for everyone to believe it, but I don't believe these people are being coerced in any way shape or form and I do believe that somehow they're all seeing the same thing and I myself have done past life regressions so it's interesting to know that little space in between holds more than just a dark void of nothingness.

A guide for between life therapists
I have read 2 of his other bids and loved the information I had learned and so decided to get this book. I didn't realize this book was designed for the therapist or hypnotherapist at the time, so I was a little disappointed at first because I love hearing the stories of those who have undergone between life therapy. Although not what I expected, I found the book very interesting. Reading guidelines recommended by the author and reasons behind them, I found interesting. Perfect for the therapist interested in doing this kind of work in the future, but could be disappointing for the reader who loves reading the stories given by the clients.

The audience is relatively specialized for this author of bestselling books on "Hypnotherapy for Spiritual Regression." Among professionals who facilitate past-life regression, all of us do definitely NOT work in the way that made Michael Newton's reputation.
On the positive side, and the main reason why I give this book FIVE STARS, is Newton's singular leadership in the field of past-life regression. He did develop a huge body of work. It has been premised on two things, seems to me:
1. Newton created a unique methodology for helping clients to re-experience, and then understand, the incarnation that led up to the current one, from which they'd come to him as clients. An excellent methodology.
2. He also compiled a ton of psychic-type details that he learned from facilitating so many past-life regressions of this kind. Further elaborating this into theories such as a kind of "Stage 1 Energetic Literacy" about "The Color Spectrum of Spiritual Auras."
Although these theories can be very appealing to people with an interest in what I call "Astral Flash," to this teacher, this "Stage 1 Energetic Literacy" is not something to elaborate upon, building ever more elaborate theories.
Rather, I teach people how to develop good, workable skills for reading auras, for the purpose of enriching THIS lifetime, skills which would begin with what I call "Stage 3 Energetic Literacy"!
So, to this Goodreader, that second point -- the main thrust of this book, by Michael Newton -- is a drawback. However...
WHAT IS THE BIGGER DRAWBACK FOR ME OF HIS WORK?
That's simple: Michael Newton's Astral Emphasis, period.
Before I go further, where am I coming from in reviewing this book? Between 1986 and the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic, I facilitated past-life regressions as a small -- but meaningful -- part of my work with Energy Spirituality® clients. Mainly I studied with Dr. Coletta Long, whose life work was an inspiration to thousands of clients and students. Further training allowed me to hang out my shingle as an instructor with the National Guild of Hypnotists.
Mainly I work as an author and practitioner of certain specialties that I've developed:
* An Enlightenment Teacher and Enlightenment Coach,
* Also serving clients as America's first Empath Coach, originating Empath Empowerment®,
* An Energetic Literacy Teacher, founding the system of Aura Reading Through All Your Senses®,
* Facilitating physiognomy readings and trainings, with the system of Face Reading Secrets®,
* And developing systems of energy healing for this time, after the Shift into the Age of Awakening. IMO mainstream energy healing today is really New Age Energy Healing of different kinds, whereas I prefer to help clients with Energy Spirituality ENERGY HEALING, such as the self-help skills called Spiritually Sparkling® Energy Healing.
Whew, I know that's a lot about me. What's the point here?
A through line in all my professional work is cocreating with God. Neither taking an interest in astral spirits nor doing psychic work. Not that I have anything against today's psychics and intuitives. More that I recognize this important fact of life: Work which involves consciousness and/or energies can only, really, be either psychic or spiritual.
What if any of you aren't clear why that would be an inescapable choice, rather than believing in life as a happy party where people can mix in a bit of this and a bit of that?

NOW, HERE'S THE POINT ABOUT "LIFE BETWEEN LIVES"
I applaud Michael Newton for his amazing leadership role, and his significant body of work, as a "hypnotherapist." (Incidentally, many professional hypnotists today, including myself, call ourselves "hypnotists" instead -- the distinction being significant, but a whole other conversation.)
I would also call him, with the greatest respect for his choice (which is opposite to mine); I would also call Michael Newton an astral specialist. His emphasis is psychic and intuitive.
By contrast, my preference is to exclusively do work that is spiritual. Now, pulling all the previous points together....
WHAT DOES LIFE BETWEEN LIVES REALLY MEAN?
For Michael Newton, as described in this book, his interest is on soul groups, soul age, karmic groups. For instance, see Figure 5 toward the end of this book, on Page 217, "Energy Colors Displayed by a Soul Group."
Because Michael's orientation is so astral, it stands to reason that he's interested in the astral experiences of souls between their incarnations.
BY CONTRAST
I'll go on record as saying that my preference for service, facilitating past-life regression, was always to help clients in THIS incarnation, helping them to cocreate healing of frozen blocks from previous lifetimes, freeing them up to have better lives now. And also helping them to accelerate their growth toward Spiritual Enlightenment.
"Life Between Lives" may be a consoling idea to those who want to know juicy details of having a life after the current lifetime is ended. Much as the single biggest line item in the economy of ancient Egypt was -- did you know, Goodreaders?
At the height of ancient Egyptian civilization, the single biggest line item in their economy was care and feeding (and opulence ) of the dead.

Isn't it more fun to say yes to a question than no? To say that this life is a but stepping stone along a long river is such a joy. There're countless testimonials that all repeat the same images of an intangible afterlife that is made to be intangible. There are some questions that have no answers, and questions on questions grow and grow. Most astrophysicists are deeply spiritual and/or religious. I love how Newton describe the body-soul spilt. This is theology, not a theocracy. Have some faith. It's fun!

Excellent explanation of Life Before Life hypnosis and what it means
Another terrific book by Dr. Michael Newton. I've read his other works and this one is more for hypnotists who practice LBL regression, but as a layman I still gathered A great deal of information about this fascinating subject.

Czytanie tej książki zajeło mi bardzo długo- nie dlatego, że książka była słaba, a bardziej dlatego, że nie byłam świadoma, że to bardziej poradnik dla hipnoterapeutów XDDDdD
No ale wciąż wyłapałam nowe informacje więc slay

Ši knyga skirta terapiautams, kurie užsiima hipnozės praktikomis. Man asmeniskai, kaip įdomūs tokie dalykai, tai labai patiko. Bet kaip ir minėjau, knygoje rasite metodus kaip dirbti su klientais. Norėjau pirma perkaaityti “Sielos kelionės”, bet į rankas pirmiau atėjo ši, nė kiek nenusivyliau ir labai bėgu pirkti Sielų kelionės ir Sielų lemtis knygų :)

I really enjoyed this book. I underlined quite a bit of it and even used a couple of his examples with clients at that time. There are quite a few bits of the book that I should type up for use with my clients… in my spare time!

I was looking for more of a why this happens instead of a how to for a professional. I struggled with keeping focus and some terminology. I did find a few things interesting and I would love to try it.

Very fascinating topic. Makes me feel less scared about death and the spiritual world. Listened to an audiobook from the library. I wasn’t sure how to rate this book since I find it hard to rate non-fictions. No rationale to the four stars

Even though this book is written for professional hypnotherapists, I think it's also very interesting for people who are simply interested in the topic, like me. It was super easy to read, which is another plus.

Utterly fascinating. This book is written as a guide for hypnotherapists, which makes it very lean on actual case histories, but is nevertheless really interesting.

It’s ok. Meant for professionals who are leading others through a LBL experience. Interesting concepts - not immediately useful to me right now.

Rozszerzenie wcześniej przesłuchanej Wędrówki dusz. Audiobook głównie o hipnoterapii i stosowaniu regresji. Na końcu podsumowanie informacji chyba że wszystkich trzech książek Newtona.
