Now the Beast has found me.
And he’ll never let me go.

JADE
Women aren't safe on Earth, not since the Big Mistake.
Around here, there’s one rule: Don't go into town. That's where the men are.

I live in hiding with Zoey, Dev and Makayla. It’s a hard life, but we make it work. Or we did, until Zoey got sick.

Now I have no choice but to head into town. I can’t sit and watch her wither away. I must find her a cure.

My disguise fails me, my eyes giving me away. Men descend upon me like a pack of rabid wolves. Then a savage, alien warrior steps up. Eight feet of muscle, horns and claws.

The beast throws me over his shoulder and carries me off like he owns me. I have no idea what the wants, but the brooding look in his alien eyes makes me tremble and fear the worst...

VUKAROR
Kysus lies in ruins. Sickness has ravaged our people, our women are barren.
I am their King. I must save my people.

I need an heir.
I must find a mate.

Earth is my last hope. If I do not find a suitable nera, the Kaizon will die.

She is at the first human settlement I come across, in a group mating ritual.

A human female.
Shapely.
Curvy.
She’s soft and so perfect.

I swoop on the ritual and take her. She's special. I don't only want to claim her body. I want her soul.

She will submit to me. She will be pregnant before the next moon.

This I swear.

Contains scenes of spanking.

Fell Flat, Weak Heroine

This book was just okay. The alien males sounded attractive enough and large, which was nice. They are faced with a sickness on their home planet that has eliminated 95% of their population and of course, the females there were left infertile. The brothers spilt up looking for new planets with compatible mates.
Vuka lands on earth to find it also ravaged because of nuclear war the moron humans did to one another decades back. Apparently only 1 in 100 babies born are female to humans.
So it really doesn’t sound like either species is doing too well. That’s depressing.
Human males are psycho at this point gang raping and pillaging.
Vuka saves Jade from a almost gang rape by the human males in a town square. She gets over him being an alien pretty fast and is attracted to him. They’re fated mates. I was glad she didn’t constantly fight him about it. So that was pleasant.
However, the Heroine Jade is annoying. She has no specific skills, traits or talents. But she’s sort of the leader between her and her three friends.
What bothered me the most and I found totally contradictory to the world situation the author tried to build was the fact that Jade is OVERWEIGHT! BUT HOOOOW?! Let me get this straight the author keeps describing her as having a very curvy build which in most sci fi romance tends to mean a larger female / over weight.
She tells her alien mate at one point she even has “rolls” as humans call it. THIS MAKES NO SENSE! These girls are rationing and some how living off barely any remaining canned food they can find. Which is also odd because apparently earth has been in terrible shape for decades. And other wise they scavenge for BERRIES AND MUSHROOMS. There is no way when she’s having to do walking and scavenging and they’re still starving she’d have all that extra weight on her. So unrealistic. And if they’re worried about human men finding them, WHY were they not training and learning how to fight and protect themselves?
Also, WHY couldn’t she muster the strength to pull the trigger on Kane or the Governor? Weak female.

Started out interesting then got weird for me. “Alien cock” was used an infinite amount of times. The MC had killer sperm that the FMC has to adjust too. Even in the end she was unconscious after every breeding session. It was an instant love connection, which always grates on my nerves.

Secondary characters were good. World build foundation was good but as the work started formation it was just not my cup of tea.

Happy reading! DD💕

Different

I liked Vuka and Jade. The overall all plot of the series is different. Both the human species and the Kaizon are dying out and in order to save the species Vuka travels to earth to find a mate to have his child. The story is a good, steamy, quick read. Recommended read.

This may have bordered on too weird for me. It was short, smutty, and super fast paced, but I didn't particularly like the characters, even if they had good chemistry.

It also may have been too short. Sure there are other books in the series, but nothing occurred here that made me want to keep reading.

This book was very rushed, dramatic and insta-love.

Jade meets Vukaror and almost instantly, she trusts him. She was in a dangerous situation, she sees him (an alien) and decides that he’s trustworthy. It made no sense. I wouldn’t have minded that too much, except that they don’t get to know each other at all, and their arguments were over the top.

Another thing that I didn’t like about this book was how dramatic Jade’s character was. Jade acts without thinking and her actions were so dramatic in multiple scenes, such as when she finds the medicine, when she goes to Irontown the second time, and when she’s in the castle.

The ending was really quick and even if the lack of development in this book didn’t bother me, I definitely wouldn’t want to continue with this series after reading the epilogue from Kerax’s POV. I don’t like his character, I won’t like reading about the conflict that he’s going to cause, and I don’t care about these characters to see what happens.

New, very sexy, story about a new alien set of warriors, the Kaizon. This first one is about Vukaror, the newest head of his people, who sets out into space to find women to help repopulate his race and planet. Really simplified overview.

What I liked about this story is that it was quick, smexy, introduced new aliens and characters and even though the “hero” has horns and a forked tongue, I’m gonna like ‘em! It’s not deep – it’s fun and shocking all at the same time. There are good folks and bad guys (yes, there is a distinction there) but you’ll need to read the story to meet them.

This first book is about Vukaror and Jade. Jade is a human female who is rescued by Vuka, as Jade comes to call him, and yep, chaos ensues. Fun, easy read.

Bit cheesy and obnoxious

The storyline had some potential, but the main characters’ interactions just seemed off. And the explanations for everything the MMC was capable of were lacking. The spice was fun though.

Spice: 4/5

Triggers: dubcon, SA, attempted gang r@pe, assault, slavery

Can I please find an actual story?

It’s really easy to remember that a female is writing these damn things when I pick up an “alien romance” and discover the female just wants to be hurt or punished before lying back and spreading her legs and that’s the end of the story. Which is to say that there’s no freaking story! Not when you know the ending by chapter three . Every single one of these things is the same and this is such a disappointment.

In order to save his race the Kaizon, after a sickness claims the lives of many and the fertility of the women, Vuka the king travels to earth seeking a compatible life form to mate with. The earth in this story has been decimated by nuclear war and it’s briefly mentioned that genetic altering on the planet leads to only about 1 female birth from every 100. Needless to say women are nothing but sex slaves, most often corralled like animals for the use of the local leader. Our heroine and her sisters have survived hidden for years and when one falls ill Jade seeks out on a impossible mission to seek medicine. For such a short story there really is a lot of world and character building. Luckily Jade runs into Vuka and the rest is history. Vuka is a very dominating and alpha male, I wouldn’t say this is a dark romance but I will say he is a bit rougher and harsh than a sedate sweet romance. For me this was a good amount of alpha maleness only made better by Vuka’s devotion and dedication to Jade, he knows when he goes to far and he apologizes. Luckily for them Jade likes him just as he is and no one can argue having a badass male dedicated to you in the midst of an apocalypse is a bad thing. Looking forward to this series progression and how his alpha brothers who think they will conquer the planet fare when they meet their mates.

I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
It was a great book !
Women should go to the city.
Jade knew about the warning, but she had no choice.
Her friend Zoey is sick, so she needs to go the city looking for medicine.
She is captured.
Vukaror ship was looking for his mate.
His people was hit by a sickness that made the females barren.
Now, he has to look elsewhere for a mate.
Now that he found his mate, what is he going to do with her?
Read the book + found out!
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can't wait for the next book in this series.

''A virus so insidious even our top scientists couldn't cure it. A virus so deadly it plunged our entire civilization into ruin in the span of a single generation''. Fiction into fact, hopefully not but taken by a hot alien has me sighing in wishful thinking.

The over the top, tongue in the cheek writing style of humour allowed a great escape from our Covid-19 reality. Even my normal cringe-worthy areas in sex got a pass here. Thank you, Ms. Hunter!

On to book #2
Cheers

Please note that this series does not end with book #5.

It's ok

If you like fake bdsm, you'll probably like this.
Vuka seems okay at first, he sees Jade being tortured and decides he likes her. He saves her and decided, unlike the men, he wants her concent. Then sexually assaults her in her sleep. He also spanks her without permission. Sure, she likes it but orgasms are a reflex for a lot of people. His semen is also an aphrodisiac.
Jade starts off pretty strong, risking her life for a sick friend. Then, after the second orgasm she seemed to live for the d. Occasionally she'd rebel, she got him to save some slaves.
Vuka is also invincable so there's no stakes.
Outside of that, the story is good, Vuca has some development. There are some funny moments too.

Bien, he leído muchos libros con temática alienigena y hombres diferentes.

Jade’s friend is sick, and she desperately needs the medicine that town has. Only women on Earth are now rare, and its extremely dangerous to enter a town filled with so many males. Yet she has no choice. She just has to make sure no one discovers that she’s a woman.

After illness kills most of the species, Vukaror is desperate to find a species that’s compatible to mate with. After stumbling upon a transmission that Earth released many years prior floating in space, he sets course. He didn’t expect when he landed that he would walk into a “group mating ritual” where the women seems unwilling. He knows with one look that she’s meant for him, and him alone.

TONE OF THE BOOK

Beast goes for a definitely light hearted approach. It’s hard to take the novel seriously with its wild plot, unrealistic character behaviours and crazy banter.

SENSITIVE TOPICS

Beast is a novel clearly aimed at mature readers.

There are numerous sexual scenes dominating the novel more than the actual story plot. Most of the sex scenes have a focus on BDSM, such as spanking and being tied up.

SERIES SYNOPSIS

Beast is the first instalment of the Warriors of Kaizon Series. There are currently 6 novels in the series.

Its 135 pages long, making it 1/3 the length of a standard romance novel (at approximately 300 pages). It’s a very fast read that you can knock out in only a couple hours, and sadly because of its length it lacks a lot of depth that many novels possess.

Each novel in the series focuses on a different couple. It ends with a happily ever after, with the world plot line continuing between novels.

REVIEW

“They were built by the government, right in the aftermath of the Mistake, to keep the population under control. They were supposedly all destroyed when they started to malfunction, but… I guess not.”

The action scenes are completely ruined when the characters literally stop to have conversations constantly, usually as a means to explain the world-building. For example, Luna Hunter introduces “Hunter-Killers” which are battle bots. The females in the room decide to explain to each other (and the reader) what they are rather than seek a way to hide. They are literally being chased by robots that are shooting at them and have buzz-saws on their arms!

“That’s right. I bet you’ve never had to deal with a Kaizon before.”
“That’s new,” Livingston says, “but still no match for my battle bots!”

Character behaviour all up is rather unbelievable all-round. For example, when the villain sees an alien for the first time, there is no shock or hesitation. The heroine consistently runs headlong into danger, and often undertakes stupid actions for the sake of just doing them (such as exposing her hiding location to pickpocket a passing guard just because).

His eyebrows furrow. “You dare to challenge me?”
“I don’t just dare you, I double-dare you.”
“What?!” he growls.

The banter is… interesting. Luna Hunter has clearly gone for what she hopes to be a perky and fun novel, however I often found myself disliking the conversations between the characters. Even when being forced into uncomfortable situations the characters regularly would talk in what felt like almost childish banter.

The world building has some major flaws. Whilst Luna Hunter has clearly tried to introduce some interesting concepts, it just bounces all over the place. Luna Hunter regularly tries to impress that humanity has lost its world-knowledge and almost fallen back into the Middle Ages, but that’s acceptable as they’ve been living alone in the wilds all their lives. The heroine has no idea what a battery is, so far as to even mispronounce the term, and yet is completely comfortable interacting with robots and helicopters without batting her eyelids.

FINAL WORD

Sadly Beast just doesn’t impress me. It had such potential with world building, yet its flaws overwhelm what could have been an enjoyable novel. If you’re looking for a light-hearted, over-the-top romance novel that doesn’t take itself seriously at all then this one is definitely worth checking out though. It didn’t work for me because I prefer my novels a bit more grounded.

RECOMMENDED BOOKS AND AUTHORS

If you like very much alpha characters, then consider reading Milana Jacks. Her most famous series is Beast Mates, starting with Blind Beast Mate. Its a dystopian paranormal romance with alien werewolf-like creatures called the Beasts who have settled on Earth. The aliens have an agreement with humans living in the Communities called the Pairing Program, allowing them to buy women to be their mates.

Calista Skyes’ has several action scenes in her Caveman Alien series, the first book being Caveman Alien’s Ransom. As the title suggests, this series is a more classic fantasy sword-fighting barbarian style.

DNF @ 42%

This paragraph sums up the overall vibe of the story:

The one thing I’m most pissed about - besides being almost tortured, raped and enslaved - is that those Irontown bastards took my fucking boots. The chance of finding a good pair like that dangling from a tree is slim to none.

Attempted gang rape as nothing more than a plot device, after which she’s spanked and brought to orgasm by the MMC, and her first thought is to return the favour. (Good god, kill me). Stupid, immature, flippant thoughts and dialogue from the FMC that I guess are supposed to be humorous, but just come off as massively unrealistic and cringy.

I just can’t with this story. The only reason I lasted until the 42% mark is because it’s so short.

Ohhh myyyyy!!!

So hot and steamy!!! Epic sci-fi deliciousness in which a barbaric alien with giant horns comes to a dystopian earth looking for a compatible female to breed with. He doesn’t just find compatibility but his soul mate.

vukaror is a dominant, sexyAF alien hero who doesn’t hesitate to claim his mate. And I loved the heroine, with a huge heart, who didn’t recognize her own strengths in the beginning

I also LOOOOOOOOVED the fact the heroine was a virgin and hadnt had other men rutting in her body. She truly ONLY belongs to the hero and that made the love story and their passion only more intense, meaningful and connected.

I loved it!

Vukaror & Jade are awesome I loved these two can't wait to read when his brother arrives I hope Vuka spanks some sense into baby brother! Okay so in this version of New Earth women are slaves to men. Old Earth eventually eliminates itself with all the wars and stuff. Jade has been in hiding with her friends Makayla, Evie, and Dev after Jades father passed away being leader fell upon her and it's a very heavy burden. Her friend Evie has fallen ill and she has to find a way to get her medicine and the only people who have medicine are men. So Jade puts her life at risk by traveling to Irontown the last place on earth she ever wants to be, because last time she was here ended with her father smashing a man's brains in while the man's buddy ran for his life. Jade always feared running into that scar faced man again after that day. It turns out Jades worst nightmare comes true when she gets to Irontown the man with the scar face recognizes her right away. He rips her clothing from her body and plans to shackle her in the middle of the town and they're going to have a feast and her body is the main course. Just when Jade thinks all is lost that she is about to be torn apart by the whole village of men, the ground begins to shake and when she looks up she notices every man in the village is freaking out. Jade finally spots what has saved her from being mutilated but she can't help but wonder did I just go from the frying pan to the fire or what? Because there is no way that this huge eight feet tall horned alien won't tear her apart. Jade is shocked and still a bit skeptical when the alien sets her free and takes her away from the village but she can't help but wonder if this alien just might be her and the other women's salvation. Just maybe he can be the turning point for everything because none of these men can stand against a Kaizon. I would highly recommend this book to anyone it's deinitely worth the money if you don't have KU.

I have just come across a new sci-fi/erotica series that had me finishing the first book of the series in one sitting. The Kaizon alien race is dying, as their females, due to a genetic disease, can no longer produce children. This bent up testosterone has lead to countless battles, thousands dead, and the leading "house" (the strongest and most vicious rule) slowly crumbling because they have not found a solution to the cause of this genetic disease nor how to reverse it. The leader, Vukaror, has gathered his brothers together to announce he has found a planet (Earth) that may have compatible females, and he plans to go there and mate, to strengthen their house again and bring new hope to a dying race. If his mission, finding a "breeder" is successful, he will send word to his brothers so that they will follow. Earth is no longer as we know it today; women are scarce, so when found, they are forced to live at the ruling leader's compound where he and a select few men have taken it upon themselves to try and repopulate. Some men follow the plan, capture and relocate, others, more desperate, take the women for themselves, I don't need to expand, you get the gest. (there are NO forced scenes, only suggestion/hints of what can happen) Vukaror crash lands on Earth, and upon exciting his craft immediately scents his mate, his "fated" mate, and manages to rescue Jade from a group of these savage men, but instead of releasing her, Vukaror wants to keep Jade for his own. There are funny moments due to language differences, misunderstandings because of cultural differences, he is an alpha alien after all, and the sexual intensity between the two, Vukaror and Jade is off the charts. A fantastic start to a new series, and I have just finished book two as I write this!

Loved this story and it’s only book one and I cannot wait for the next book it was that good, this book start with earth and the men all fighting to find women to inslave and abuse them because there is so little of them free anymore because the Governors of each state keeps them all to themselves. Jade and her 3 friends Zoey, Makayla, Dev have stayed in hiding in the subway tunnels and only come out to get food but now zoey is sick and jade must go into Irontown to get medicine for her but if she is caught the men will rape her and all will be lost and that’s where her nightmare begins when she run into Kane the man that tried to kidnap her when she was young but her father saved her and now she is caught and will be placed in the stockade so all men in town can have a turn. Vukaror is the king of Kysus and with his 7 brothers they try to keep the peace but there planet and Kaizon men are dying out because the females are barren now after the calamity hits. So his brothers and himself plan to travel to other planets looking for females to breed with and save there race and earth is his planet. Now he is on earth he must find his mate or females and he finds one fighting for her life while the men around her are touching her and he puts a stop to it all by taking her away and saving his mate and killing anybody that tries to stop him. What happens to her now with this big beast of a man that is hot as hell and has rescued her and will she be able to save her friends. Want to know more read this amazing book to find out what happens. I voluntarily read an arc copy of this book for an honest review.
