Rock Of Decision

A novel about life in the Appalacian mountains. The main character is a young girl growing up in a large, poor family with an often absent, alcoholic father. The book follows the family through the main character's eyes through a few years, watching their struggles and the way their lives improve over time. It's a really interesting book about life in the moutains in the past. It takes place near the turn of the 20th century.

This was a really interesting view of life in the Appalachian mountains in the early 1900's. It's similar to the book "Christy."
