When is it enough, really enough?
In love, never! In abuse, forever.

Written flawlessly with tenderness and fury, heartbreak and acceptance, give your heart a break is the story of Addya, a flamboyant, confident woman, leading a carefree life. That is, until the day she gets married, and her life suddenly takes a turn for the worse. Caught in a steadily deteriorating relationship, Addya is stretched to her limits as she tries to cope. Through it all, she has her brother Agastya standing by her side like a rock, vowing to avenge his sister. Will Addya be able to survive unscathed? Will Agastya succeed in seeking justice? Or will he succumb to the wounds of his past? Can the love of his life, Tarjani, provide him succour? Inspired by a true story, this is an incredible tale of abuse and vulnerability, of the exhilaration of romance, of an unshakeable sibling bond that is at once unique and universal. Above all, this is Anuj Tiwari’s unsparing account of love and loss, capturing the grit and courage of a woman trapped in a loveless relationship.

First of all, to give a one-star rating to any book is difficult, but I can't help it. I have to. Give your heart a break is my first read from the author. The cover page is beautiful, and the plot revolves around a sibling's relationship.

Plot - The recital starts with Arjun and Dimpy aunty in Dubai. She wants Arjun to write a story about her cousin, Addya. They reached to Delhi to met Addya, and she starts narrating her experience of mental and sexual violence in her marriage.

Addya's brother, Agastya is short-tempered and unable to express his feelings. He did a few crazy things for her sister, which somehow jeopardize his own relationship with Tarjani. The story revolves around all of them, and how Addya gets out her toxic marriage. The abrupt and senseless end definitely gives my heart a break.

Just after I end up reading the last word of any book, a rating gets imprinted in my mind immediately. So, when I ended up reading Anuj Tiwari’s latest book “Give Your Heart A Break” published by Rupa Publication and a rating flashed in my mind, I went onto check the ratings I gave to the previous 4 books written by him, I realized this is the best book written by Anuj Tiwari as per my taste. The cover page of the book is themed in white colour which gives a peaceful impression to the story and it is exactly like that. Though Anuj is known for writing love and romantic stories, this book is actually based on the Brother-Sister and Cousin relationship unlike the other books written by him.

Once again, Anuj has tried writing on relationships and right from the first chapter, he starts talking about all kinds of relationships in the story where they are sharing good and bad phase respectively. The protagonist is going through the process of divorce as she had been suffering physical abuse from a long time. Her brother, Agastya, and cousin, Arjun, are all in there for her support. The bond between Agastya and Addya is very beautiful described where Agastya’s selfless and obsessed love for his sister shows in the actions that he takes in her favour to secure her from her bad phase of life and bring her back in her flamboyant, confident and carefree avatar. Arjun’s character is used as a supporting cast in the book where he plays his part in supporting Addya and bringing in some motivation for her in life regularly. Arjun is portrayed by the author as if he’s talking about his real self. Anuj’s favourite, Dimpy Aunty, also plays cameo in the book and I am glad that Anuj has not overdone her character just for maintaining the hype that he creates on social media for her but used it sensibly.

Talking about the story, there are not many twists and turns that shall make you fall in love with the story as already mentioned, book stays focused on talking about characters and their relationship with each other. Story focuses only on the problems faced by Addya and how everyone is out there to support her by thick and thin. Anuj has handled the scenario very well as it must have become quite boring if the character would have been regularly showcased as a victim but rather she has been portrayed as someone who is wanting to stand back on her feet. This keeps the story moving forward in a pace which you shall love reading.

Another thing that I would like to mention quite specifically are paragraphs which talks about several topics such as motivation, thoughts on love, loneliness, affection, relationships, life, inspiration etc. which are actually very effective. Any among all those sentences can strike anyone who is feeling down in life to get charged up to do something bigger and incredible as it is written keeping youth in mind. Being a young author, such pieces should be part of any book in some way or the another and I am glad that Anuj has tried and done it so well.

Talking about the drawbacks- the story is very simplistic. Anuj should now start leaving his comfort zone and write stories which are more than just love and relationship. Even though there was a small incident of a suspense kept in the story but even that is worked upon very simply in the end of the book. The court sessions are also tried to be kept realistic but they couldn’t create any kind of magic as they play the major part in the story.

Overall, this book is a nice light read which you can read while traveling or in a single sitting on a silent weekend. The way one of the romance writer has written a book not on intimate relationship but on the Brother-Sister relationship only is commendable and appreciable. I give this book 3.5* out of 5. I recommend it to everyone who is feeling down due to some personal tragedy in life, mostly, if it is a girl.

Thanks.

An inspiring moving tale of sibling bond, friendship, love, marriage and new beginnings.
💔
A vivacious confident woman Addya's life turns into a nightmare after her marriage. Shattered to the core, clutching onto the remains of her sanity with a new life bubbling inside her she escapes the hell hole. Hanging onto her family for support she tries to rebuild her life fighting tooth and nail with the turmoil that threaten to havoc everyone's life.Agastya, the younger sibling dons the role of protector and caregiver for her sister, becomes the support system she need at the moment. It's really interesting to witness the way their life progresses with new developments in the brother's life and the crucial roles played by strangers.
💔
💔
The engaging storyline with detailed characters addresses the critical issues like marriage, martial rape, domestic violence, mental health, blood relations and rediscovering oneself. My heart went out to the protagonist, the pain and sufferings afflicted on a bride that plagued her life.I could feel Agastya's helplessness who tried his level best to protect his sister and family while fighting his own demons.
💔
💔
A very mature writing that reflects the strong familial bonds, the beautiful relations with strangers developed over time that stand the test of time, the widespread prejudices that dominate the society and the snail pace of the judiciary system that only add to trauma. The prose drips with words of wisdom which emphasis onto full utilisation of oppurtunate moment.
💔
💔
A celebration of sibling bond, where unspoken words are understood since the early squabbling days of childhood, both nurture each other, where role of caregiver interchange with time and need.
💔
A #mustread for everyone.

Anuj Tiwari is known for penning the stories based on real life incidents and this story is again one of them. What I liked the most about Anuj is the way, he portrays the characters making you feel that you are seeing them live.

The flow of story is a plus because you would never feel bored as you travel along with those characters. The story covers in detail the various walks of human life which includes Love, Friendship, Treachery, Betrayal etc t name a few.

Arjun, who becomes a successful writer was advised to pen down a book based on the life of his cousin Addya by his aunt Dimpy. While he was initially reluctant, finally agrees to write one. The story is all about the happenings in the life of Addya. While Addya was married to Bali, her life was in shatters. Though she was supported by he brother Agastya, he himself had a dark past.

Was Agastya able to overcome his past and helped his sister or did he succumb to his past?

Read the novel to find out as to how he events unfolds itself right in front of your eyes. This story would make you think, ponder, feel and most importantly it will make you get hooked to it till the end.

My Review - It's a real-life story of the author, Anuj Tiwari himself. In the story, Aadya is going through a poisonous marriage with a monster named Bali. She's been physically abused, pressurised for Dowry from day one and has been treated in an ill way by her inlaws. She's now pregnant but Bali doesn't accept it to be his child and judges her on her character. Aadya has long left her in-laws home and now stays with her brother and mother. His brother just like other brothers tries to protect her in every way possible and does everything in his power to get her sister out of the bounds of this treacherous monster. They've filled a case against her in-laws regarding Domestic violence but the case is not going in her favour as the in-laws are using illicit ways to delay the date and distract the court from the truth. What follows and what emotions does the book carries is one to be read.

The book is written on one of the most serious issued faced today that is of Domestic Violence. Like the complete thing of Domestic Violence in the 21st century is bad enough but the laws regarding it are even worse. The scenario portrayed in the book is the reality that happens today. The victim calling female police officer regarding Rape threat calls often gets the reply like - 'Don't worry, I too get a lot of them every day'. Means yes it is difficult to change the mindset of every A** individual overnight but the laws need to be soo strict regarding Women Safety that out of fear, the A**es get in some better mental state. Yes, what happened in the ending of the book may not go according to the laws of the nation, but when the law are more of a hinderance and less of a help to the citizens, bold steps are taken.

The book is written on a serious issue but I felt it getting off track for almost more than 80 pages in the middle. I think the author did want to convey the message and situations everyone in relation with the victim goes through but this approach made him lose the main topic he wanted to portray. Although written well, there was a scope for better focus on the storyline of Aadya and the case. But overall I really liked the story of how a person can overcome from the worst of the situations just by the help of a few most loved ones.

Conclusion - A topic to do something on, described in an easiest and relatable way.

Love stories are not reserved to romance. There could be stories on relationships between siblings, parents and kids, cousins, uncles and aunts etc. Anuj Tiwari, through his best book in his career tells the love between a brother and a sister.

TO BUY THE BOOK CLICK THE PICTURE ABOVE

Author through his forte of real stories has come up to entice the readers. As always he is there in the tale as Arjun Tiwari.

The blurb does full justice to the book"Inspired by a true story, this is an incredible tale of abuse and vulnerability, of exhilaration of romance, Of an unshakable sibling bond that is at once unique and universal."

Arjun Tiwari, seasoned author is suggested by his aunt to write the story of his cousin Addya in his next book. Addya a headstrong and smart girl is stuck in an abusive relationship. Though she remained submissive for years, the timely interference of he brother Agastya, helps her escape the shackles of toxic relationship. How he fights for justice the the help of hi brother is the crux of the tale.

As quoted by the renowned scientist Albert Einstein, 'When you are courting a nice girl an hour seems like a second. When you sit on a red-hot cinder a second seems like an hour. That'srelativity.

Addya's character has several shades. She is submissive, headstrong assertive, passionate, smart, capable, understanding and vulnerable- All at the same time. But none of the shades tell anything negative about her, which could have been added for more authenticity. Same goes about Arjun's character. Though her is not very prominent, the presence of the character out of nowhere in some if the circumstances stuck out. Agastya's character is more or less realistic except hen he confronts hi ex-brother in law.

Damage to ones reputation is often and unexpected cause of legal action. People gossips endlessly until woman succeeds in getting her rights.

The fact the he forgets everything else when it comes to Aadya is established slowly and how it slowly turns out to be obsessive is also portrayed non-judgmentally. The plot is interesting an shifts he gear every now and then.It starts off with Arjun's journey as a writer as well as his fight with depression in hi own words. Further on introduction of Addya , it shifts to Addya and Agastya, and third one is the relationship between Agastya and Tarjani.

From the cliched puppy romance to stories of substance, the author's growth graph is drastically steep. The book i definitely his best work till date.

Finish Reading "Give Your Heart A Break" By "Anuj Tiwari" and here are my honest reviews.

Though Anuj is known for writing love and romantic stories, this book is actually based on the Brother-Sister and Cousin relationship unlike the other books written by him.

This book revolves around such a beautiful relationship of brother and sister. A book by Rupa publication, short and sweet story of relationship about a relationship. Not a usual love story which you expect. It is a book which will definitely leave its trail on your heart.

A vivacious confident woman Addya's life turns into a nightmare after her marriage. Shattered to the core, clutching onto the remains of her sanity with a new life bubbling inside her she escapes the hell hole. To be honest guys , the best part of the book was the unconditional love between the brother and the sister depicted throughout the book and while I was reading the book I felt somehow emotional at some parts of the book.

A selfless and unconditional love between siblings coupled with a grim reality of the Indian society forms the backbone of Give Your Heart A Break. It is a heartwarming tale of an ambitious young woman Aadya who finds herself dying in a tormenting relationship and decides to step out of it only to face more grave issues and challenges which would test her resilience. In her journey to battle against a wounded marriage, she has her brother Agastya and cousin Arjun backing her. The path to obtaining justice against a troubled marriage in India is full of thorns. The question is whether Aadya would be able to sail through this storm? Would she be able to come off her past and start afresh? Would she ever come to terms with her dark memories and eye her aspirations, all over again?

It is okay to fall, be a mess, ruin things. What really matters is how strong your comeback is.

This is the message delivered in the book through the life of Aadya. Her story represents all those women of our society who live their lives adjusting themselves in a marriage. They lose their voice, their perspective, their will to raise their voices. Their misery is looked down upon as something normal and they are taught to necessarily endure it to sustain their relationships. It is disheartening to read this aspect described in this book.

Through beautiful short messages delivered here and there in the book, the author attempts to instill positivity in his readers. I admire the character of Agastya which is brazen yet so soft. He is all ready to tackle the challenges being posed to his family. He is there to support his sister within no time. This beautiful sibling bond touched me. Along with that, Arjun’s character too attracted me. The character which didn’t appeal me much was that of Dimpy Aunty. Hers seemed to be an ideal one too good to be real.

The seamless flow of emotions in the book definitely hooked me to the book. There was no dearth of raw and true feelings in the narrative which has been presented very well. I really liked the lucid writing style and crisp narration which brought out the central story fabulously. The character development was fair enough. Moreover, the cover was aesthetically pleasing. It just caught my eyeballs instantly.

Our review- A cocktail of intricate human emotions and is definitely an out of box endeavour to show love between siblings. "This is the beauty of a family- INDESTRUCTIBLITY."
~Quote from the book

#Strengths-
Story is like sailing in high tide ocean of emotion where at one point you feel the novel is gripped in the unfortunate marriage of Addya the story drifts very lightly and with adequate pace into the mutual understanding which siblings share. ❤Once i started the novel i felt it's an old experiment of narration of author's struggle in building a career and reaching to horizon but the narration swifts and reveals the bitterness of old and ugly indian marriage tradition.

Which leaves many daughters, sisters and friends to physical abuse and even marital rapes. The novel here raises a serious issue which i admire the most.

Also the story doesn't drags a character unnecessarily.
It starts with Dimpy aunty who is very much like an aunty in every family who is very light mooded and happening and checks into buisness not just their family but everyone else's in a positive way.

Then comes Agastya , little later but whose characterisation i loved the most. He is the kind of person who sacrifices his world to keep his sister's world happy and comfortable.

Later the spice is sprayed with advent of Tarjani, an old college aquintance of Agastya who also happens to like her straight from the college days.

Wrapped in fun, feelings and strong social message.

#Target readers- No obscene literature, every sect of society must read this as it's high time to leave mundane traditional customs and today's generation must learn to speak up rather than suffer.

#Target age- Any 12 th pass can read and understand it easily. I won't say author have used tough words infact choice of words are beauty of this novel.

#Writing style- Style is narrative most of the times and narration keeps on changing with commencement of different characters.

#Genre- Contemporary Fiction, Drama.
I leave further story for your own good time of turning.

.
Hows your relationship with cousins? Well, I do have great time with them always and forever. This book revolves around such a beautiful relationship of brother and sister. When I read the title I thought this will be another romance novel and I'll hate it. But, author did surprise with something out of the box.
.
When I look at cover it looks pretty cool and shows symbol of love. But, who taught that this will be love of brother and sister. The cover looks classy and attractive. It do justice to plot.
.
Addya is a strong girl stuck in a abuse relationship. From few years she is feeling down about this relationship. Where her brother agastya always help her to find a way to stand out. I just loved addya character. She has everything I wanted in character. The story goes ahead with this two characters.
.
Addya is going through the process of divorce. Her brother agastya and cousin arjun are always ready to help her. The best thing about agastya he did everything a brother do to keep sister happy. Where cousin arjun play important role to fill addya with motivation.
.
Coming towards the plot it's very simple and ongoing. As It's a simple story there are not many twist. But, I believe it's okay to have simplicity. I think book is mainly focused on relationship of brother and sister. There are so many good though written in book which I underlined so I can write in my diary. That's the power of narration. (May be I'll read those again when I feel down)
.
Coming towards character they are well developed and described. Somehow I felt that author should have added some negative point in character by this they will feel more realistic. Thought they are good to beginner reader.
.
In a nutshell it's a must read book if you have brother who supports all things. Its very light and easy read anyone can finish in one or two sitting. being in a joint family I was able to relate almost all part of book.
.
Author did surprise me with spellbound narration and a read way beyond my comfort. Glad to read this book waiting for another such new plot soon.
.
I would rate this 4 out of 5

My Take:

Brother and Sister, the first bond border lining friendship, the ones who play a big part of our lives. Cousins, brother/ sister from other mother, our extended family the ones we play with, laugh with and cry.

Very few books have justified the bond of a brother sister. Books are written about best friends. This book is an eyeopener. A one with a strong social message. Revolving mainly around 3 characters Addya, Agastya and Arjun. The bond they share is just amazing. Truly having each others back at good and bad times. They all have been through a lot yet they stand by each other and understand each other better.

Addya is going through a abusive marriage which has made her doubt her confidence and ability to succeed. Agastya has a wonderful career and a broken heart. His world is his family. Tarjini is his crush since school days and now the both look for more in their relationship. Her character is well written and is a breath of fresh air in this emotional roller coaster ride. Arjun is a writer, has been in depression, has anxiety issues. Supported amicably by Dimpy aunty and batch mate Anushka, he is able to trend in the right direction.

The abusive marriage is something that is very emotionally weaved. The agony of Addya is very well captured by the author. You can feel her pain and helplessness. The divorce proceedings and the mental torture the cousins go through along with her touches you somewhere deep.
Tarjani supports Addya to become independent and trusts her ,helps her when she needs the most. It just defines how much a small step helps in giving a big boost to the person who is in dumps and doubting her self worth.

The story line is strong and very subtly switches between the characters. The narration is simple and captures the emotions of the characters well.

Rating won't justify the chord the book touches. Highly recommended for all we all go through difficult times and look for emotional support in tough times.

.
"...the most complicated thing about broken hearts is that they never look broken." .
.
.
.
"Give Your Heart a Break" portrays the story of Addya who is an ambitious, confident and carefree girl and how she copes up from her broken heart, shattered dreams, abusive husband, pretentious marriage and bleak future. She belonged to a family who believed in traditions and customs more than the desires of their children. When her family found a suitable match for her, she started talking to him and in a few months time got attached with him and decided to get married. After a few weeks of their marriage, he showed his real face to her and started hitting and beating her. 🍂Will she compromise with her situation and accept defeat? 🍂Or she will rise above the standards set by the society for women?
.
.
The story and the characters are relatable. I quite enjoyed the relationship of Arjun and Dimpy Aunty as it was quite humorous and entertaining. The character of Addya will make you feel empathetic towards her. I quite liked the character of Tarjani as she was quite practical and easy going.
.
.
The story is written in a simple yet profound manner. This is not a typical love story but a story based on the beautiful theme of inevitable sibling relationship and the importance of family during crisis situations.
.
.
The plot is based between Addya, Agastya, Arjun, Tarjani and Dimpy Aunty. The characters are developed and the plot flows in a good pace.

I recommend this book.

Marriage is an important part of everyone's life, especially a girl's life, as she is the one who has to leave her own house and settle down with her in laws. Marrying someone you don't know completely can lead to something you wouldn't imagine in your wildest dreams. No one likes to live in a home where they have a constant fear of torture. Unfortunately, this is the reality of many women in our country who continue to suffer from domestic violence. Around 27 per cent married women in India face physical violence, and it's infuriating how some males think that it's manly to beat and force their wives. Patriarchal attitudes are deeply entrenched in the minds of such males, and these skinned monsters cross all these limits to prove their dominance.

The plot of story is very inspiring yet heart breaking. The Author had given a really strong and much-needed message with this story.

RATINGS(4/5)

" When Problems knock at our door , We get a thousand opportunities to know our hidden strength "

●CHARACTERS: Arjun Tiwari, Addya & Agastya, Dimply Aunty, Tarjani, and so on. Every character is important. Taking a protagonist from the story will be a idiotic step cause all characters have its own place in the story. I love Tarjani's character. And there Dimply aunty who is the most positive and strong character ever.

● BLURB WITHOUT SPOILER: The story is started with Arjun , who was suffering from depression some years ago , now one of the best author with help of Dimply aunty's motivational power and positivity. Anushka, Dimply Aunty's Daughter to whom Arjun loves secretly.

Agastya , an ENTREPRENEUR, brother of Addya, is in love with his crush Tarjani. Addya, a strong girl, became a victim of domestic violence from his husband Bali & his family. Being a Brother, Agastya became a shield to protect her pregnant sister from those criminals. And supported to fight against them. Love for Tarjani wasnt less in anyway but for handling the crisis of his sister agastya doesnt get time to even talk with Tarjani. Now the questions are:
Why did Arjun suffer from depression? Can he express feelings to his love? Will Addya be able to fight against his husband Bali? Will agstya & Tarjani get back a healthy relationship? What's their connection together in the story? Read the story to know the consequences.

●ABOUT THE BOOK:
✔ cover of the book is decent. Though cover could be more attractive. Title is smooth with the plot of the story And meaningful indeed.

✔ Writing style is simple. Its not my first book from Anuj Tiwari so I can assure you guys, his writing style will not bother you ever. Not much hard words are used. So didn't interrupt my reading mood.

✔ From his book its sure we all have a lot to learn about life. His book can motivate me well. Love, betray, success, failure, emotion! This story is capable enough to consist those all together.

✔Author's imagination power was really outstanding from his very first book. He spreads love for his readers through the words of book. Thanks sir ! I got your note attached with copy! " smile! Pause! Smile again! Give your heart a break " -Anuj Tiwari.

✔ Dont mistake by assuming it as a love story! Romance didnt lead this book anyway. The story is about how life can be changed in a sudden way only with believe & positive vibes. I was glued with the book to know whats in the next page! Only in the end i felt little bore cause ending was expected. Overall a mind fresh reading. A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED book for all.

“Give your Heart a break by Anuj Tiwari” is a book, that would take you inside the life of one such family. I randomly picked that book on the weekend & With easy language and storyline, I was able to finish it in one sitting. What made me stick to the book was the way the author explained the beauty of relations. Book focused on a lot of points like domestic violence, marriage, love, family bonding, a brother’s love for their sister, a mother’s love for her newborn daughter. So it was a book that makes you experience different forms of love at once.

This is the story of A girl married to a man with so many dreams but ended up facing domestic violence. This is the story of a brother going all the lengths to save her sister and give her the best of life. This is the story of a cousin who wished, the world to know the story of her cousin and let the world know about her, helping others ladies like her to make their own choice and put an end to the violence they are facing for ages.

Book touched on the very susceptible topic of Indian society- marriage and Domestic violence. Hundreds of married females face this one way or another but never dare to say a word. They endure it because that’s what they have been teaching! But it’s time to stop this and let the male Dominant Society knows that we as females are not going to tolerate this now. I admire the courage with which Adya left her in-law’s house. I admire the way her family supported her decision. I admire the way her brother made it his responsibility to protect her sister and newborn niece. I admire the way her cousin Arjun, always been there for her unconditionally, giving many of us serious sibling and cousin goals.

We all love our family, but we rarely express our love to them. Never tell them what they meant to us. That’s how a brother-sister relationship is right? They fight but they protect each other unconditionally. The book is more about the message that it’s never too late to start fresh. It’s just a matter of time to decide if we want to face this or keep suffering. For me it’s was an emotional read, because being the eldest kid of a family I always want to protect my family at any cost. One more reason for reading this book was the way Agastya taking care of her sister during pregnancy and reading books on how to take care of her niece. That melted my heart

So as for the book, if you are looking for some easy language, lite read; please go for it, you won’t be disappointed. Even for beginners, this could be a good read. This is not a love story but a life story of people finally making it to sunny days

Pick this book up to
Witness a beautiful tale of love, trust, bondings, friendships, relationships and much more.
I had a fairly amazing time reading this book.
Firstly the concept around which it revolves is very deep and emotional. Its executed quite well.
The writing style was good, the author manages to sew the story in the heart of the reader by adding beautiful quotes and motivational talks of his own.
The language was easy going and lucid. The narration too was done quite. It kept me gripped while reading this book.
I loved the way the author has portrayed the hypocritical society wholl put a woman down just because she has filed for a divorce on the grounds of Abuse, but will still respect a godess.
Second concept thats described here is of marital Rape, sadly we still live in a society where marital rape isnt considered a crime when it should be. The author has truly put in the efforts to change the societies mindset over the various elements of marriage.
The characters were very well developed. I could connect with Agastya very well, I loved the fact that he was struggling with his own insecurities bt he takes the extra mile to get addyas life back on track.
I liked the little blend of suspense that the story was holding till the end, in some places i did feel the book to be a bit draggy but it turned out to be worth it.
Overall, this was a very interesting and an insightful read. Definitely recommended if youre looking for a fast paced read that has the hold of sibling love onto it.

This book is about love and how the word in itself can take various shapes.
This book is a story about the creation, maintenance, and evolution of relationships- be it the one between siblings or future partners or simply friends.

'Give Your Heart A Break' by Anuj Tiwari narrates a beautiful story involving Addya, her brothers Agastya and Arjun, and many other wonderful characters like Tarjani and Mrs. Dimpy. These characters come together, carrying the loads of their own varied life stories, and try to mend each other by bringing the broken pieces together- an idea that is very much encouraged in the book.

Addya, the elder sister of Agastya, is a girl with dreams and a heart of gold. She envisions a beautiful life that she wishes to spend with a man who promises to treat her like a queen. But, Addya's dreams are shattered and she is forced into an abusive relationship. To her dismay, Addya's husband is not keen on treating her like a queen. Instead, as the author has said it, he turns his wife into a "damsel in distress".

Some of my favourite characters include Arjun, Agastya, Tarjani, and Dimpy aunty. These characters, I feel, are very intricately designed.

I LOVE the title of this book and also the whole vibe of the cover! I like the story in its whole and how it expresses the beauty of relationships and the understanding that is required to maintain them. I like how the characters feel real; the author has been successful in making the characters come to life. The author has also made use of good vocabulary that makes the book a rich read.

I could only find one typing error in this book. I do feel that the transition between a few scenes could have been smoother.

I recommend this book to those who are looking for a fresh read that has a unique storyline. I also recommend it to those who would like to read about how relationships are nurtured with given circumstances and to those who like the family-drama genre.

The author of this book told me that if I have a sibling, I would love this book and well, he's absolutely right!

Give your heart a break is inspired by real life story and most of the characters in this book are real and very close to author so this book is very very special and beautifully depicts relationship and their consequences.

This book really shocked and stunned me sometime because it tells the reality or say cruelty of this world, when a woman step-out of her marriage, the so called our society always blames a women and her family also forces her to continue marriage like burden, but nobody thinks that a woman is source of strength and courage,if she have 1% hope to survive she tries till her last breath but if she steps out then it means situation is out of control and now there is no hope. At that time her immediate family to support her like a pillar and stand by her side in any condition.

This story depicted the same relationship a bond of sister and brothers who shares an exceptional bond and stand by each other and empowers too.

Story is about a girl Aadya a confident women, when she married to Bali, her life is changed and behavior of Bali and his family is changed too, they demands for dowry, beaten her or what not. One day she escaped from there and goes to her house, her brothers Agastya and Arjuna helps her to recover from bad phase and forget bruises and wounds which can stamp on her soul.

It's an incredible true story of a girl who stand on her feet after so much scars on her soul and come out as an example for other women who suffers but not spoke because they don't have their family support.

So hats off to author who open his real life for us readers and I truly believe you fully succeeded in it.

My review is not complete if I will not mentioning Dimpy Aunty, she is a gem by heart hope everyone has one cool aunty in his life.

Some lines are very amazing and inspiring in the book.my favourite are:

It is heart wrenching that in our society people gossip about the girl who goes through a lot but nobody has the courage to speak against the man who is the cause of it.

So give your heart a break from negative thoughts and worries and walk on a positive path.

So I highly recommend this book to everyone it really give your heart a break.

Book cover is awesome and perfectly goes with title.

Brother and Sister together as friends, ready to face whatever life sends. That's how is the bond between Addya and Agastya in this beautiful inspiring story. Addya, a strong, independent, highly educated girl married to a man whom she knew well before the marriage. Buy as they say you shall never know what lies behind a person's mask. Bali, her husband was such double faced person who made her life miserable with mental and physical abuse just after few months of marriage. Her life became hell with unbearable torture from Bali and his family and she left that house even though she was pregnant. Addya was very lucky enough to have most supportive family. Her mother, Agastya her brother ( for me he is Hero of this story) and Arjun her cousin stood by her in this troublesome situation and helped her in each possible way to come out this disturbed marriage. Tarjani one more strong woman character of the story who helped Addya to regain her confidence and helped her to be independent once again. Dimpy Aunty, she is funny, full of life, inspiring and motivating lady who's mother figure to Arjun but somewhere she helped each character of this story to understand their capacity to deal with the life and difficulties.
Storyline is strong, very well narrated given equal importance to all the characters. My favorite character is undoubtedly Agastya whose love for his sister is unconditional and somewhere he ignored his personal life to get her sister'd life settled.
Life throws many troubles to you but it's you how you deal with it. Much respect to Addya to how she fought and set example for the many of the women who live in such hell life without uttering a word. Fight for your justice no matter how difficult is the path - the strong message conveyed by the Author. I got ears in my eyes many times, sometimes with sorrow and sometimes with happiness. Arjun and Agatsya's speeches are very effective and motivational. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone.

This book is a story about the creation, maintenance, and evolution of relationships- be it the one between siblings, future partners or just friends.
"Give Your Heart a Break" is the story of Addya, a flamboyant, confident woman, leading a carefree life.

The best lines of the book was in pg 91-92, which says-
A) "When everything happens in a right order, it means that the order is not right".
B) When I become old, and am unable to go for a walk with you, when I have difficulty hearing and may not be able to see things, pictures we clicked will be of no use then. Do you know how I will remember our memories? I will close my eyes & all the cute memories will come alive.
This is anuj tiwari's one of the best book written. I strongly recommend it to everyone. Gift this book to ur siblings.

❤When it comes to human relationships & love no one can hold hands of the extra amazing author Anuj, I was so excited to pick it up that I completed it in a single go. The book features Aadya, a strong & a independent women who get traps in a bad marriage due to circumstances & tries to handle her life even when she is not in a state to do so.
On the other hand, the book features the toxic relationships which have the ability to make or mar one's life.
.
The book starts with Adaya being a very strong girl & ending up into a lot of problems as the book proceeds. The mail protagonist was not lovable or a ideal character yet he is also shown in a good & a firm way. The climax of the book was not so unpredictable but yet it's very enjoyable till the end. Many a times I felt like I was actually moving with characters, Adaya's brother is a real role model throughout the book.
Making a way, the book also talks about emotions & their importance in ones life.💓
.
❤The strong character Aadya is always supported by her brother & a good relationship between them potrays a perfect example of how a sibling should be. In a nutshell, it's a highly engaging & a emotional read which mainly focuses on our day to day relationships. Yes, it's highly recommended.

"Brothers are like streetlights along the road, they don’t make distance any shorter but they light up the path and make the walk worthwhile."

Give Your Heart A Break is the second best novel after I Tagged Her In My Heart. The author has described serenely the bond among the siblings. The story touches upon the abuse, martial rape, depression, low confidence, hopelessness, vulnerability and courage. It also touches upon the mental health of oneself. It also speaks about depression.

"Our brothers and sisters are there with us from the dawn of our personal stories to the inevitable dusk." – Susan Scarf Merrell

Basically, it is the story of Addya who is a very confident and strong woman; but after her marriage she faces abuse, accusations, violence which takes a drastic turn in her life which she had never imagined. Her confidence, dreams and hope are shattered.. But her brother Agastya who becomes the guiding path of her life stands and supports her throughout the difficult phase. It's about reinventing oneself and bouncing back and tackling the situation with utmost patience and confidence no matter the density and severity of the problem. With the support of her brother, cousin brother, Tarjani and ever caring Dimpy Aunty; she treads back her life with a passion where she discovers herself with hope and confidence.

Definitely it is a must read story which will take you to the ride full of rollercoaster of emotions, difficulty but handled with care and love, feeling of vulnerability but tackled with hope and love and last but not the least having a sibling in your life which makes the route of leading life more lively and interesting.

"Sisters function as safety nets in a chaotic world simply by being there for each other." – Carol Saline

📙 Introduction-
When you start reading a novel, what do you expect for?
A good narration, some solid plot and a soothing ending?
But what I ask for is,
"A story which do not let me sleep, after I finish reading it. And I should keep on thinking over it.
"Give your heart a break"
Is one such novel written by @anujtiwariofficial
📗 It focuses on a sibling relationship more than of typical relationship stuff and that's what make me feel like reading it as soon as possible.
📙 Review-
The story is about Addya, a flamboyant, confident woman having a carefree life, who finally met her, "Prince charming" but her life took a complete U-turn once she gets married. She find herself stuck in a deteriorating relationship, being a victim of marital rape and everything worse one could not even imagine of. She is stretched to her limits as she tries to cope.

But what keeps her going on is Agastya and Arjun, her brothers, who are there for her no matter what. They stand by her side through thick and thin and help her rise over this situation while seeking justice for the things she has faced.
What I find most interesting is the way, the other characters are portrayed over in the story.
Dimpy aunty is the most important of that character, who is really a one of a kind person I wish I also find in my life.

Tarjani also made a great impact on me because she played a major role in healing Addya in the process.
What role did she play? Well "Give your heart a break" and try reading the book❤️ This is inspired by a true story.
And worth reading according to me.
It's really courageous to write on social issues prevailing in our country.
The author has done really a good work with this book.

I surely recommend this book.

💜🏵️Favorite quote- The one who works with his hand is a labourer. The one who works with his hands and head is a craftsman and the one who works with his hands ,heads and heart is an artist..
💜🏵️One of the best book I have ever read with lots of inspiring message. The protagonists of the story are Addya and Agastya brother and sister. The story begins with Arjun who is fighting from depression and anxiety for last six months .His friend Anuska and her mother Dimpy aunty helped him to overcome the situation of his life. After receiving the International youngest Author Award in Dubai , Dimpy aunty suggests to Arjun to write about his cousin Addya's story....
💜🏵️The story is all about the happenings in the life of Addya. After getting married to Bali her life was in shatters. Her brother Agastya really loves her little sister and did everything for her as if he is her own father. During that difficult phase Agastya met Tarjani his crush from college days. Happiness floated like rose petals in the air when he fell in love with Tarjani. Will Tarjani be to paint the sky with love for Agastya?? Will Addya be able to overcome her situation?? Will Agastya succeed in seeking justice for sister and at which level???
💜🏵️Read the novel to find out story in detail and various shades of human life which includes love, friendship, betrayals, kindness etc. The story and characters are relatable and it will make you get hooked to it till the end.

This book actually gave my mind a Break! 😁... Stress you see..

This book is so beautiful, so much about life, love, marriage, relationships, inspiration, hope, depression and duh seriously everything! Like everything is presented so well, this book is like a cluster of hope. I can say...

So the Plot-
It's about adyaa a girl who has faced traumatic abuse from a failed marriage and she is shattered but her brother is trying his best to stand by her side and not letting her face Strom alone.
I won't really tell more about the story, please do read it :)

Characters are everything we humans are normally, be it facing things and falling weak and vulnerable or trying to be strong or helping each other or sometimes getting depressed.

Although the language is simple the writing style connects to the heart for it's very emotive and fresh. It is sure to evoke your emotions and make you pause and think/feel :D

Umm.. This book is really empowering and author has expressed all his views like the women have to go through so much and he has well expressed the family values too. Like the boy struggling between his personal, professional life and still supporting his sister throughout. What could be more realistic than that?

I can emphasize so much on how emotional read it was for me... So much about sibling relationships, like how they often fight in childhood but in adulthood they are only ones supporting each other like a rock.

I will really recommend this for the refreshing writing style.

Arjun is an author who wants to write a story about his cousin, Addya. Addya is a vivacious confident woman, who wished to fulfill all her dreams before getting married. But all her dreams go down the drain after her marriage. She realizes that the man she once thought of as her knight in shining armour is actually a demon in disguise. Before long, she is subjected to harassment and abuse – both physical and psychological, she went back to her parents' home hanging onto them for support. Her brother, Agastya dons the role of protector and caregiver for his sister, his heart breaks on seeing the torments that her sister had been subjected to. As Addya deals with an abusive husband and a painfully long divorce procedure, Agastya vows to never leave her side. But between handling his responsibilities at home and his commitments at work, somewhere Agastya is unable to dedicate time to his relationship with Tarjani. To know what happens next in the story, you have to read the novel.

I really liked the brother-sister bond that is shown in the book. The way Addya’s brothers supported her during her hard times is something every sibling must learn from. The way everyone supported her and helped her see her own strengths is commendable.

I would like to say that Anuj Tiwari does an excellent job of bringing forth a sibling story. This book will give strength to the victims of domestic violence, it will give them the courage to fight for themselves. This story teaches us to look for the silver lining in a dark cloud and keep going!
Overall, this is a perfectly good read.💜

❤(Review)❤
Who would have thought this book could be successfully retold an true inspirational story of unshakable sibling bond that is unique and universal from its very first beautiful cover? Well, I couldn't realize it.

I came across a book that relates very well to our society since it centres around Addya and Agastya in a way that can motivate everyone to fight back against the odds for their survival.

A confident, carefree woman Addya gets married and her life suddenly takes a turn for the worse. Then her brothers Agastya and Arjun desperately helped her standing by her side like a rock, vowing to avenge their sister. Will Addya be able to rise above her problems? What does life have in store for her?

The storyline is impeccable, layered and fast pacing. Rich in content and framed in a language that is simple and impactful and offers self-sacrifice, acceptance and tenderness in brother-sister relationships.
What really interests me about this book is that all characters are well described, the emotions were depicted well with strong narrative and well-knit plot. Also, author tried to throw light on domestic violence against women, failure of arranged marriage with massive dowry and mental health issues.
But sometimes lengthy descriptions can lead readers to lose focus on main story.

🎯Verdict:-
The weaving of facts with fiction makes this book heart touching and more realistic. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to everyone.

I absolutely loved this book. The book is written in very easy language. I found this book very interesting as it is focusing on sibling's bonding which is best and unique. Also this book has covered some major issues like Domestic violence, Marital rape.⁣
The story is revolving around three main characters Addya,Agastya,Arjun. Addya has been in an abusive marriage from a long time and now Currently she is going through the divorce process where her brother Agastya and Arjun support her. Agastya is very protective about his sister and he does so much to always keep her happy. Arjun is Addya's cousin who also motivates her time to time and help her taking some wise decisions. There are two more characters which I absolutely loved is Tarjani who is a college friend of Agastya, she supported Addya in her difficult days and helped her to become independent, and Dimpy aunty who selflessly loves Arjun and pushes him to write and because of her Arjun has penned down Addya's story. You will get to know about it when you read it.⁣
Its a fast paced story, you will be able to finish it in day. The writing style of author is beautiful. Highlight of the book is, the bonding between Agastya and Addya is portrayed beautifully. Not many people talk about sibling's bond. I genuinely loved the way author has written this book with such a delicate topic.⁣
I recommend this book to every brother and sister out there to read about brother-sister love 💞⁣
