Knights of Texas novella series Book Two - Dorian
He thrives on temptation.
Dorian West is the living embodiment of dark suave and charm, a role he relishes with the Knights of Texas—a luxury male escort agency. He’s determined to make every client feel her value, and enjoy life through seduction and vibrance. But despite his life of pleasure and showing women a good time, his true fascination is his neighbor, the captivating woman in 9C, Grace Evans. Grace’s sole focus is her job, and she avoids romantic connections at all costs. Her distaste for Don Juans and Casanovas makes her distrust all flirtatious men, despite Dorian’s persistence and enticing, muscular physique. Through chance and misunderstanding, she begrudgingly agrees to pretend to date Dorian to avoid the acidic limelight from her celebrity friend. But things go from chaos to catastrophe in the flash of a camera, and Dorian’s charm and talents are tested beyond its limits.

I enjoyed Tell Me What You Crave even more than the first Knights of Texas book! It was fantastic. A touching story with terrifically developed characters. Dorian’s story, and backstory, was a powerful testament to generosity and kindness — and, like with Renner in Tell Me What You Want, I'm dying to know more about this incredible Knight!
I've read two of the books in this series and so far, every time Susan Sheehey knows how to get to me with her characters. The things they have been through before could keep them from their second chance at love. Also the idea of a story about male escorts is something different and enjoyable. I'm looking forward to reading book three next.
Former Sgt First class Dorian West, ex Marine, recipient of the Bronze star, Humanitarian Service Medal, and Marine Commendation medal, former cruise ship entertainment coordinator, now works as a Knight of Texas, a high end escort service, which focuses on it’s clients needs.
However, he has been attracted to the woman in 9C from the moment he saw her, almost a year ago. But not understanding his job, Grace Evans holds him in distain. She has her own sad past. 4 years ago, her daughter and husband were killed in a car accident and Pax Wilde, son of TV personality, Ruben Wilde, received Maggie’s heart. Since then Grace started a charity for pediatric transplant services and has become close to the Wildes, in a way remaining close to Maggie.
At one point Dorian is able to come to her rescue and she finds out that he is not the gigolo that she thought.
These two are meant for each other, but will the interfering press stand in their way?
Dorian West is one of the Knights. He likes to live everyday to its fullest. He enjoys being with women and making them feel special. He's been trying to wrangle a date with his neighbor, Grace Evans, for a year. Dorian is taking a repeat client to a charity event which just happens to be run by Grace. She knows what he does for a living and has caustic things to say. At the end of the evening, Dorian helps Grace when an issue comes up. They start spending time together. He tells Grace it is to help her out with her issue but he really wants to be with her. This was an interesting story and I enjoyed the characters and the resolution.
This is book 2 in the Knights of Texas series and it features Dorian and Grace. Dorian’s great! All along he knew exactly what she needed. Grace was unfriendly and uptight and I didn’t see how he could be so attracted to her. Until I found out how old she was, I thought she was so much older than him. She acted very prudish. I realize everything she went through changed her. I was pleasantly surprised that she stuck by Dorian through the entire scandal.
Great book! I wasn’t a huge fan of Grace throughout the book but the story line was fantastic. Can’t wait to read the next one.
A feel good romance that’ll make you smile This was Dorian and Grace’s story and it was fun. He was fun, witty, flirty; a boyfriend you'd definitely want for yourself. It took some time for Dorian to break down Grace’s defenses and it only happened because of the drama she found herself in. Luckily, he charmed her, convinced her it was all real and won her over. A well written, easy to read story that flowed along well from start to finish.
Read this with a fan and an iced tea handy, because your gonna need to cool down. A lot. The second book in Susan Sheehey's Knights of Texas series brings us another high-end escort with a heart of gold. Dorian and Grace have a sizzling connection from the beginning, only escalated by those hot Texas nights (or Knights ;-)
I got a copy at a local author book signing. This is book 2 of the series. It made me laugh and cry. Laugh at Dorian as he tries so hard to get Grace to notice him in a good way. Cry as I learned why Grace was so uptight and why she was so involved in the pediatric transplant charity. Lots of emotions through this one. Highly recommended.
