Sweet story

This was a sweet, short and refreshing read. There was no “oh no I’m 50 and suddenly I like women!” moment, it just happened naturally. I could spot the ending coming a mile away but it was a fun read.

I don't know about people but as parents they were doing a bad job👏

Not even that but I couldn't stand Bethany, everytime I would get at her point of view I would roll my eyes at least once.

I couldn't see the connection they kept talking about, they were giving really just friends vibes sometimes

But oh well

Time

Bethany and Gloria were bffs in high school. Life separated the two. Their children brought them together by way of an impending marriage. Love kept them together. Read their story from the beginning. You are in for a treat.

Sweet romance.

I liked this story. There were sever twist and turns which enhanced the story. There is nice steam in the book and the happy ever after was just wonderful, it is never too late for true love.

Gloria and Bethany were friends in the 80s, with a little tingle of something more. But in a small town, back then, only one of them even thought of the possibility.

Many years later, and one pretty amicable divorce later, and a much more recent, far less amicable the ass cheated with a younger woman for years before announcing suddenly he was getting married to the woman, younger than his own son - ps a baby would be on the way in the next year.

But when their children met, these ladies felt a bit more than nostalgia. Can they survive the realizing she is bi and coming out of one, and the break up of their children, with all the ancillary baggage?

Gloria and Bethany never would have had a chance back in the 80s . How far can love take them now?

Sweet romance with all the additional not being 18 anymore baggage.

Idk, this was not awful, I really appreciated that this was about older women, who acted maturely about their relationships, and that there was no cheating involved. But idk, I did not feel, well, anything for any of the characters, and I really didn't like their kids' relationship, especially .

This author is fairly new to me, as in I've only read her a couple times,,,,, but the more I read from her ,,,, the more I love her writing,,,,,

This was a Goodreads andvI love how there js actually a story line revolving around the lesbian couple in depth instead of the short notice of the lesbians going about their lives in a short encounter here or there ,,,,, Make Sense,,,,???,,,, well, I know what I'm trying to say and that's Thank you Kim Hartfield for telling a complete Lesbian storyline ,,,,

I would so definently recommend this book to anyone, Lesbian or not,,,, it's a good read ,,,,,

Well edited. Let me start there. The story about two women who meet 35 years later was a plus. Bethany, raw from a recent divorce, questions her sexuality because Gloria, a high school friend, is a lesbian. It wasn't a story that grabbed me and I'm not able to convey what spark was lacking. The bouncing from one character's POV with each chapter was rough and I couldn't believe Bethany was sincere. She seemed forced. Their children's upcoming wedding was the back drop to the story as Gloria and Bethany navigated their own relationship. I can't share more without spoiling it.

Gloria and Bethany's children are getting married, which would be a good thing, except the two moms were friends in high school and shared a memorable yet awkward kiss during a game of spin the bottle. After, their friendship was never the same. Now they are reunited. Gloria is out as a lesbian and Bethany is newly divorced from her long-time husband.

The story here is a decent one but the writing is quite a bit more telling than showing. And for that reason, I'm going with a three star review.

Thank you Kim Hartfield for righting a book about two strong women that follow their heart. I admit there were a couple of times in the book that I thought, this is where they will second guess their decisions or let something get in the way of them being a couple. It didn’t happen.

I read all types of romance, being in my early 50’s it is nice to read books with the couple being in my age group.

I highly recommend this book and am already trying to figure out what book by Kim Hartfield I will read next.

I wish writers of sapphic romance would just COMMIT. This is the 2nd book in a row with a slow burn and buildup to a whole bunch of nothin'. Why do they write sex scenes like they're Victorian??? 'The most secret parts of her', 'My core'. Wtf!? It's so dull and uninspired and makes sex between women sound like the most bland sh*t ever. It's almost never longer than a page and feels like the book equivalent of the camera panning away when an onscreen sex scene starts. Give. Me. Passion.
My hunt for good sapphic romance authors continues...

Two ladies meet again and a big decision must be made.

Insightful story about what happens when a young lady becomes pregnant and decided through her emotions that she doesn't want to marry the father. Meanwhile the mother's are renewing a encounter that involved spinning the bottle from high school and what that first kiss meant to each other. Interesting emotional feelings come from the mother's and their children and a upcoming marriage or not! Enjoy!

Refreshing love story

What a refreshing story,a second chance romance with a twist.MC’S meet as teenagers share a single kiss and meet up again by chance years later both divorced when their children decide to marry,it’s wonderful to have a story where it’s more mature characters finding each other and having hot steamy sex for a change

Mature romance that is slow but sure after two women Bethany and Gloria meet following their son and daughter becoming engaged. Realization follows that they knew each other in high school. There are some steamy moments, ups and downs, a scummy ex husband and a HEA. Thanks for an enjoyable read Ms. Hartfield.

She is happy to be the mother of the bride when her daughter announces a wedding. She then meets the groom mother. She had felt something for them. Can it happen this time? Will a relationship happen? See if she will get her second chance

Sweet

I loved this story. The mothers were friends thirty five years ago. When their son and daughter announced that they were in love and planned to get married, they were brought back in each other’s lives. Great story with a great ending.

Wonderful Story!

I loved this story. The commitment from Gloria to Bethany was what made this shine. You could feel the love Gloria had for Bethany. Once it was reciprocated Bethany’s love for Gloria added strength and trust. Well written. Kim has another winner.

Older and wiser

I really enjoyed this book. Especially with main characters being in their mid 40s. For anyone looking for characters who are a bit wiser and a bit older, this is the book for you.

Not the usual Wedding Planning problems

I loved the premise of this book. Miranda and Bethany were good moms, better friends. What could be better than their kids getting married to each other? Read this book and get all the funny, cute and warm hearted details.

GOOD BOOK!!!!!

Okay first off, the characters were well developed and beautifully constructed. I love how the author wrong about and "older" couple. Not too sure 53 is old. The story had a great plotline and when you thought for sure it was the end, it just got better.

No typos ! And a pleasant love story . The writing just flowed . The two lead characters Bethany and Gloria were a joy to read about how their lives grew and blossomed . Though there were those that could have curtailed them if either one had allowed it !
All in all a good book !

Cute story

I really enjoyed this story of finding romance with an unrequited love, in the strangest of places, your daughter's engagement party.
