He grew up there, while forming an inseparable bond and friendship with the estate’s beautiful, spirited heiress who promised to love him forever. But his heart shattered and he was forced to leave when the girl he loved dearly betrayed him cruelly.

Edit: Changing my rating.
I realize this book is actually good (given that it has been on my mind a lot lately... I keep thinking about it so...) and the rating I gave before doesn't do this book justice. Although, you can find my previous review below.

-------
Previous review:

I am so angry right now,not that I am blaming this book it is Amazon's fault,I wanted to read one more book by this author but I was facing few issues with it and almost whole day got wasted trying to solve that 'issue'.So I ended up reading another book that is this .

This book and the 'issue' book came in my recommendations(amazon recommendation to be exact) out of no where when I was currently reading books like A Court of Mist and Fury,The Cruel Prince and Six of Crows which was weird and made no sense.
Anyway this book and the 'issue' book caught my attention.I mean just look at this book's synopsis it is so catchy. After I finished this book,I had my doubts. For a moment I thought if I am writing review for the 'correct book' or maybe the book I read also happened to have issues because see the reviews for this book they all are only 4 star or above ,seriously I am not joking check out all reviews they are just 4 stars or above ,mine must be the only review below 4 stars .

Let's talk about the book now.I didn't hate it but I didn't like it either or else I would have given it 3 stars.I found this book to be very predictable and cliché .Into the book and I was able to guess or better word predict what is going to happen and obviously everything happened like that.

The characters :

Meena : Honestly? I found Meena to be annoying at times and a weak heroine.I understood her dreams as a child but when she grew up and she still behaved like that...it was really annoying. Not once did I find her fighting for herself even when it happened(which happened in the end) it felt so unnatural and just a way to increase no. of pages.I understand her situation was like that but was it for whole time ? She could have changed her situation anytime, she could have fought for herself anytime or when she got brains which I guess she didn't get.It was so so so annoying she didn't do anything but simply sitting.

Hiten :I am fine with him but I started to find him annoying too after I read their 'past'.If you don't mind spoilers view below why

Another thing,I didn't find any passion or sparks or chemistry between Hiten and Meena. I will admit I found it more in their past than present or future .
Why 1.5 stars?because as mentioned above I found 'the sparks' only in their past ,for that reason solely I gave 1.5 stars

This is why I don't like second opportunities romance or 'the misunderstanding romance' because the stupidity or misunderstanding becomes really annoying which could have been solved by a simple talk. Also, there will be a missing passion that I never find in present or future but only in past and if the past is not written ,well... it sucks even more.Till now whatever second opportunity romance I have read I will either end up hating it a lot or end up loving it a lot and the latter happens rarely, this book is definitely not the latter.

Oh! I forgot one more point where was the hatred I was promised? The revenge? There is no revenge,Hiten didn't do anything ,Hiten had just come back and Meena was simply getting paranoid that's it! He didn't even do anything and Meena is like"Don't ruin my life, don't ruin others life ,you ruined my life" simply she started being over dramatic.I don't even remember reading one revenge scene or hate scene except Hiten saw Meena with hate or called her name with hate that also later her sister told was actually a look of love !

Other than the catchy synopsis,I read this book was because it is Indian,I thought it might have some relatable stuff but except the names there was nothing!

Overall I feel this book could have been a lot better.I was expecting Angst ! Tears, something that hurts but I didn't find those things or maybe I am not sensitive(well that's a straight lie I am super sensitive) I didn't feel all those things people wrote in their reviews but whom am I to complain everybody has a opinion of their own it's just that mine didn't match theirs.

Please excuse any errors that might have crept in

Heart-wrenching story of Meenakshi and Hiten. A must read.

I am falling in love with MV Kasi’s books; they are just an absolute package of love, suspense, thrill, and passionate romance. It has all the ingredients that make the story and book perfectly delicious to read, and eventually reaches the heart of all the readers. This book had its way to make me feel all the emotions throughout the story, at one point it even pains to read what’s happening, it hurts a lot but the destination is worth all the troubles and pain throughout the journey.
At the age of eighteen, Meenakshi Mahasena was in love with Hiten. Hiten was an orphan working at Mahasena mansion where they first met and eventually fell in love with each other. Despite knowing their differences, they dared to take the risk and didn’t stop loving each other with all the promises to always stay together.
“Hundreds of mansions or thousands of beautiful dresses wouldn’t hold any appeal to me without you by my side.”
But what happened that after ten years, Meenakshi was not with Hiten? In fact, she was scared to face him.
“The boy who had kissed her scraped knees better, held her hands when her pets died, gave her the first kiss, made her into a woman, and then… was betrayed by her.”
Hiten was an innocent kid when he had first arrived at the Mahasena mansion. He did his work sincerely and when he met Meenakshi he found his first friend of life. He would do anything for her happiness and it was not long before he fell in love with her. But now, he hates Meenakshi with passion, enough to destroy her and he has returned with a plan to make Meena’s life miserable.
“People change,” he gritted out. “Especially when things happen, and they end up losing their fucking soul in the process.”
Within a few days of his return, he almost shattered Meena’s whole life and didn’t even spare her closed ones. Meena could see the anger and hatred in his eyes but still, she foolishly hoped that he will stop before it’s too late.
“When I return, I will be able to finally move on knowing she is suffering the way I did.”
Hiten had his reasons to take his revenge. He truly loved her once more than anything in the world, only to get his world shattered by her.
“Until forever apparently means until someone richer comes along.”
Meena had only loved one man in her whole life, but was her love enough to conquer all the hate and anger he was carrying for a decade? She knew he will not trust her again; love from him was the last thing she could expect, even though she was desperate for it. But I have read somewhere that if you truly love someone you cannot forget them no matter what. Will Hiten be able to control his devastation before he completely destroys Meenakshi and also their promise of until forever?
“Hate destroys you. And love creates happiness.”
This book is for all the romantic souls who believe in second chances and also for those who believe that love has the power to conquer all the hate in the world. I will recommend this book to all those readers.

Plot : ⭐⭐⭐
Story : ⭐⭐
Spice : 🌶️🌶️
Rating : ⭐⭐⭐
Tropes : forced marriage, childhood friends to lovers to enemies to lovers, billionaire romance, hiten is rich, so yeah.
Pacing : confusing. because the book starts in the present but we get to see the past, and that made it difficult to understand what and where I was in the story.
Characters : ⭐⭐
What I loved : when I read the blurb of the book, I wanted to read it because it’s the recipe for a perfect romance if written and expressed well. so I decided to hop in and I was CONFUSED at first, because what the hell was happening and the kids + dead husband really made me rethink what the story really was about. but I kept on reading and when the past finally made an appearance did I actually start to understand what was happening. I loved the present and the plot, it had a lot of twists and there are some things I agreed and disagree with.
What I struggled with : with the pacing of the story, and another thing i’d like to add, at some places, it felt like the author was shy of writing few scenes and used words that were just shy of expressing what needed to be expressed, the writing also felt like an amateur writer was writing it, but other than that it was a good read.
Loveable characters or not : likeable yes. loveable? no, maybe just a bit.
Strong character development : hiten is shown as meena’s childhood friend, growing up together, which eventually turns to lovers, and then tragedy happens, and they get separated, then hiten returns as a billionaire, to claim his dead half - brother’s wife. so there’s character development, but i’d still say the story is only led by plot for me. and not the character development so much.
Plot driven / character driven : plot driven.
Favorite quotes/ highlights :
Similar authors : please read MV kasi’s other books, i’d recommend reading other books she’s written.
Similar book recommendations : the devil’s desire by the same author.
Any other details : none.

What even was this ?

So the MCs are childhood friends/lovers. Book starts with them meeting after so many years and then from there to up until 50% it’s just backstory in MMCs POV. Tbh the past scenes have covered so much of the book and because of that there’s barely anything left for their present other than them marrying and then fucking each other. And they had zero chemistry. I finished it under like 1.5 hours because I was just skipping over the past parts - not because they were not interesting but some scenes were described in both POVs separately in their own monologues and it was boring to relive the same scene.

Also I don’t like Meenakshi. Her parents never cared for her, physically and mentally abused her, forced her to marry a man she didn’t love as well as threatened her unborn child and yet she was still loyal and protective of them. Like GROW UP ! Let them suffer because of whatever Hiten was doing to them. Her parents didn’t have a single redeeming point in them so idk why she was behaving the way she did.

Until Forever is an amazing read you will not want to end.

I fell in love with Hiten and Meenakshi from the very first time they were introduced. The supporting characters added a great element to this wonderful love story of second chances. I also appreciated how the author covered subjects that are otherwise viewed as taboo in some parts of the world.

Every book that M.V Kasi writes is another way for me to fall even more in love with her books. The way she creates her stories and writes them will leave you wanting more and more each time.

Looking forward to the next one....

It’s a different from the regular novels of MV Kasi. Well conceptualized & weaved beautifully. You have to read the entire story in one go to actually enjoy it. Too many twists and turns. This story will keep u intrigued the end. It's about a pure childhood love turned revenge & again turned into selfless love. Hiren came back after a decade to take revenge from his childhood sweetheart Meena but end up in loving her more and more. It's a story of their forever love. Good & different kind of plot. Kudos to MV kasi

Going through a lot of ups and downs in the journey of Hiten and Meena, eventually ending with a "happily ever after". Not sure if this is how it ends in reality too!!
Nevertheless, a good read.
