i blame the Publisher(s)

i enjoyed this third story in the series. thought the storyline and action was well paced, the characters more refined and mature. The storyline well balanced. However, i would have enjoyed the story much more (and this i will blame on the publisher(s) if i had not be pulled in and out of the "Story" by numerous typos, and grammatical errors that should have been found/corrected before this book was published. And, there were a lot!! And, I'm no proofreader or editor, but it was distracting enough to make this read a less enjoyable one going in an out of the story frustrated by spell breaking, and distracting, mistakes... smh!

True to the title

A story about want a be a dictator. All the fallacies of living under a dictatorship. I thought the author brought forth the how to deal with this form of government and defeat it. It's about common sense in the fight to be free. Freedom has a high price to pay. The only thing I didn't like was that it ended before finding out what is going to happen to this small town trying to do the right thing for people to be free. I think it will be taken up in the next book. Am looking forward to reading the next one. Thanks for all the entertainment. See you at the next story.

Another good book!

I'm not happy about the three star review but, yowza!! A lot of errors! Missing words in sentences, using the wrong character name in a scene. Not good... Find a better proofreader!!

However, excellent action and character growth. I'd still recommend this book even with all the errors. Loads of new "how to's" and perspective in hot situations.

I normally get beyond tired of characters at the point of the third book in a series. Not this time!! I'll certainly be looking for more stories from this author!! On to the fourth book! Happy reading!!

The David Nees Series is a deeply thoughtful series about what would happen due to a collapse of civilization as we know it. His prospective has one thinking how many things we take for granted, and how unprepared most of us are for a natural or man-made disaster. This book has us re-thinking a plan for survival should there be a weather, or long lasting power outage. Obviously the author knows survival skills.

Homerun!

David Nees has hit a homerun with "Rescue". A couple people rescue two of their own and a dictator tries to convince town authorities that it was an unlawful rescue. Read the book to get the rest of the story. I love this series as i believe it represents the truth of what will happen when the SHTF in a nation wide or world wide event. Well written.

Great balance

Took a while to develop the characters, about a 1/4 of the book, but keeps you on the edge as subplots and the central theme gathers steam and pace. Couldn't stop after 70% of the way. I like plausible drama and stories filled with actio and pathos. This one delivered that. Good story telling; well done.

Nice set of characters and city\state plots

The general topics are well used in contemporary fiction of this type. Yet, with the characters, this Author has brought a good sense of tribe\family in lieu of the many stand alone Rambo type that battle the world single handedly. Enjoyed the books, look forward to next edition in the saga.
Have read all current books in this series.

Sweaty palms

To me a good book requires action, drama, suspense, sweaty palms, and twitching in my seat. This series delivers all of the above. Action scenes actually have me a headache they were so intense. Not a good book but a great book. Reading next i series right after I click submit.

Very Good EMP Series

If you like reading EMP stories, I think you will like this series. The storyline moves along. There is a lot of action. The characters are interesting. I especially love the clans men in the story and how their unique knowledge and skills are valued . This series has many strong women included throughout the storyline.

The author gives the "hero" totally unrealistic ability to carry loads and to move with these loads. Carrying weapons with magazines for these weapons, and a full pack far exceeds even a SEAL team member member. Then giving allowing him to move on foot the distances he does AT ANY RATE OF SPEED with limited food and virtually no sleep goes beyond the capability of any human.

Amaze balls.

So excited for the next book! I'm hooked on this series. Summer hasn't even started yet and I'm going to be missing all the characters until the author releases the next book.

Read the series!

I wanted to get past book 3 before leaving a review, most series loose their appeal by then. I can honestly give these stories a 5 star review. I was in the scenes to sort of speak. Each novel kept me turning the pages quickly to see what would happen

@davidnees, Have enjoyed your three books in the After the Fall series. You’ve gotten much better by the third book and can’t wait for the fourth. I just hope you have a better editor for the next. The typos were making me crazy.😕

Great third book.

I loved this book. More story like the last 2 books so if you enjoyed them get this one. Looking forward to book 4 in the series.

Some minor typos liked a missed punctuation but nothing major.

Story continues

This is a good series with good characters. The good guys prevail but not without a cost. That makes the story a little more believable. All three books are easy reads and the action keeps the whole book exciting.

Good series

Great story, like the rescue of Billy and Rodney. Lots of good people after the EMP, but so many desperate people. So much room for more stories in this series. I like the characters!

A great post EMP saga.

David Nees keeps the story moving from beginning to end. You can almost see yourself in the middle of the action. I can't wait to see what happens next to Jason and his family.

Rescue

Another part of one of the best series I have seen in several years of Kindle reading. The group have common sense and a good belief system that is transmitted during excellent action parts. Hard to put down!

Good story

The plot was reasonably laid out and believable. The petty tyrants are so typical of what we see today the only difference is that the rioters and looters didn't need an emp to start.

Chilling continuation of the series

The saga of Jason and his family and supporters continued with a tense confrontation with the General from Knoxville, who had several hundred troops, a tank, and two heavy artillery. Good character development and fast paced story.

Full of action and exciting

The after the fall series is as exciting as the first Jason story. I recommend it for all who have a interest in saving the country if something like this actually happened. God forbid

Exciting

Good book and great action. There has always been bullies and power hungry predictors in our world, however, the good decent people along with the brave will prevail.
