About the author

Violet Samuels lives in Australia, being half Australian and half Portuguese, and is a young girl/woman that is still in her youth. Even for being young, she's never lived in one place for more than two years. However, the favourite place she has lived was on the Whitsunday's. Violet loved the Whitsunday's because it's where Unique Different Found all began and it's where her friends convinced her to go for it and have a go. Look at where that's brought her. Violet's passion she is most dedicated to is her dancing, acting and singing. She has been doing classical ballet since she was four, including other dance styles on the way. She's always been able to sing and always been able to act. She's been able to use these skills in different plays, musicals, dance concerts and eisteddfods. Violet Samuels is a bubbly and energetic girl/woman who is kind, caring and has a big heart. She loves to dance, sing and act and can't wait for so many people to read her book to let them escape from the rest of the world, even just for a little while.

Unique, Different, Found

This stupid book.

Summary:
Once upon a time in a faraway land, there lived a Mary Sue. She was written in the style of a 10 year old girl. This girl was beaten. It doesn't matter that despite obviously being beaten for everything and being stabbed in the stomach there was not one mention of a scar. This brilliantly beautiful and special girl was so brilliantly beautiful and special that she thought she was ugly as sin. Even though she was beaten for most of her life, she was such a perfectly perfect werewolf she rose from it all. By crying, whimpering, and screaming. This main character could somehow see the reader and spoke to them despite there being no narration or any indication of it being told to them. In the end, she rose alive from death because of how she was so great. If you're worried this story can't get any better, it can. There's a prophecy, that states how she is so magnificent. She can master powers faster than anyone and has all the powers, which no one else has. Obviously, she can't use these powers, instead being pregnant with triplets at 16 after mating for a week straight.

Absolutely stupid book. Many many things that don't make sense. un-likable characters, predictable plot and stupidest story. Might have minor spoilers below.

- It was very hard to relate to the MC's supposedly "abused" history.
- MC runs from the hero first time she meets him, and then blames him when he gets mad at her for running away from him. Blames him for walking away from her when she was the one who actually did the walking away.
- Why did this "powerful" Moon Goddess not help the MC's parents during the war?
- Why did the Goddess tell the royal family to let all the shaded wolves die?
- What was so special about MC that the Goddess took her away.
- Why did the Goddess keep the MC for that long and then let her come back to earth again?
- Why did the "all knowing" Goddess not know about the supposed prophesy that was written in plain English in a book that Axel had?
- How can the Goddess who actually took the baby MC and returned her again not know that Celena and Axel were mates (also written in the book years ago).
- How come shaded wolves had special powers and not the other colored wolves?
- Why did Shaded wolves still lose the war even though they have special powers?
- Why did MC become the "all powerful" one when Axel is the son of the Goddess?
- Why do "royal" family have special gifts?
- Why does everyone "mutter" all the time? Why don't they talk out loud?
- There was this one place, where Axel "tightens his arm around Celina's waste " instead of "waist"...ha ha.

Many many questions that leave the story quite un-likable really. Horrible horrible book.

I thought this book was truly amazing, I must have read it about 6 times and I am still not sick of reading it. I remember reading it on Wattpad for the first time, when Violet was still writing the book. I remember one time, it was like 3am on a school night and I read the whole book within 2 and a half hours. it always manages to drag me in and hold me hostage until I have finished it and that's what I love about UDF. I remember the first time I finished reading it and I left a comment, It went something along these lines:

I loved reading UDF Violet. please make a sequel. I loved it so much,I couldn't put it down pretty please make a sequel!!!

I was so happy when Violet announced it getting published. enough of my rambling, I definitely give Unique Different Found a five star rating. like I always tell Violet, keep following your dreams, you are a beautiful, bright and inspiring girl. people admire you. The premise was good--Cinderella reimagined (werewolf style). Celina is horribly abused by her pack after the death of her parents and forced into the role of unloved servant. At the age of 16, she's had enough and runs away. At the end of her strength, she finds herself in Nightfall pack territory. She immediately finds herself attracted to the pack alpha, Axel and finds love and acceptance for the first time since the death of her parents.

Overall, a readable book. Why 2 stars? I found all the main characters incredibly annoying and cliched,

1. Celina "giggles" enough to be Sailor Moon. Also, she is a complete idiot.

She spends an entire life in servitude to the Moonlight pack and doesn't know about the birds and the bees?????

2. Axle is the 20 year old alpha. His job is apparently to keep his "little woman" safe and clueless.

3. The two "guardians", Callum and Conrade, have no personalities. They just fawn over Celina and generally act like love-addled fools.

4. The evil alpha, Damon may as well be a Disney cartoon villain. His motives are juvenile and two-dimensional.

5. Where are all the adults??? These werewolf kids seriously need some supervision.

Ugh!!! A promising concept ruined during execution.

If you're into werewolves but don't want the typical cliche story then this is definitely the book for you. When I started it I was instantly sucked up into the story and couldn't wait for new updates on Wattpad.

I'm so happy I got to read it before it got published and I know it will be a great success now that it is. Everyone loves a book that can make them laugh, cry, gasp, and fume all in one and this book definitely made me do all that.

The idea was great, but the actual thing didn't work.

The characters lack personality... The dialogues were stiff and childish like.

All the characters should have been 10 years older for some actions to make sense.

Also, this book needed some serious reviewing and editing.

Great and quick read on this book.... there are some things that I have a problem with about the writing and editing... and story line... she was giving her full powers at the end .. and all she could do was the wind and tree trick??? and if she is going to be the future moon Goddess then why was she killing people ... couldn't she find a different way to handle it .. just seems if she was the next killing her people would be horrible... yes I read that she felt bad for taken mates away from people and kids but she is the next moon Goddess and she couldn't do something??
OOOO and yea someone tells me they see the enemy out at the boarder.. O NO MY LIVE NOT SAFE WITH GUYS WHO PROTECT ME .. LET ME RUN TO THE BOARDER! sometimes I don't understand thinking but it if beings the book along..

DNF at 10%.

I tried, I really did, I promise. This book was so terrible. Like a car crash which bursts into flames and then has a bomb dropped on top of it. Some books are so bad that they're good. This book isn't one of them. To put it into perspective, I've been on this website for almost 10 years and this is my first ever bad review. I don't like bad reviews because the author works incredibly hard to create something for their readers but this book isn't a gift, it's an insult to your senses.

The dialogue. Dear lord, the dialogue. Imagine every cliche in existence. Now imagine a 10 year old wrote it. You have officially written this book. Congratulations.

The plot as a whole seemed pretty straightforward with no great plot twist or plot period. If there was something, anything, that made this book interesting I would have soldiered through the book like a trooper but there was nothing. Everything is "poor me", "you don't understand me", "I'm going to run away and kill myself because I can't handle having a mate". I like that she was a tragic heroine but after the first couple of pages I had little to no sympathy for her.

I don’t like writing bad reviews or criticising books because I don't wanna deter or offend the author. I know and appreciate how much work/effort goes into writing stories. I want to confirm that this is my opinion and my opinion alone, this doesn’t mean it is a fact, it's just my subjective thoughts on this book.

I had a lot of hope for this story, the premise was good. I enjoyed the perspective and the unique concept of shaded and coloured wolves. Plus it was a quick read (or listen, as I listened to it as an audiobook - p.s. the narrator got me through). Now for the reasons for my rating...

The characters annoyed the hell out of me - they lacked depth and their thought process was unrealistic. Additionally, they felt very two-dimensional - I felt no connection to these characters, whether that’s because of the lack of personality, puppet-like behaviours or just because of how stupid the majority of them were. All conflicts were resolved pretty quickly - abuse aside, it felt like a lot of things were going her way?? I’m unsure if that's the right way to put it but… yeah. Plus, it just felt like she was stuck in a void of self-pity - “poor me” & “no one understands me” bla bla bla. It left me feeling no sympathy for her and if anything I just got irritated at her. Don’t even get me started on the dialogue *Body Shivers*.

Whilst the concept of this book was good, the execution wasn’t for me. It felt like the entire book was written for a much younger audience, where the plot is simplistic; so it’s easy to understand. But it's not... because mature scenes have been included. Simply put - it feels like a child book with sex scenes thrown in an attempt to make it mature. It just… didn’t work, it didn’t flow and it felt out of place. It really wasn't for me.

There are so many plot holes in this story, I was constantly left wondering ‘why’ - why did the moon goddess do this, why is it that the MC is being fed with a silver spoon throughout the whole story, why did her parents have to die? Why did the goddess determine that was the best thing? Why is she more powerful than Axel when he is the son of the goddess, the first wolf? What makes royalty special so they have these gifts? Is it their bloodline? Why did she flip when they touched her hair? I believe it was meant to be this scene to make the audience feel like the MC has this strength in contradiction to her naiveness (putting it nicely), but it just made me cringe and die inside.

The MC, in general, annoyed me from the start, she’s juvenile (which I guess works well with her being 16) and frustratingly whiney. Kinda reminds me of a toddler. Imagine running away from your mate, ready to leave him behind - hurting him like that, and then getting annoyed when he leaves you on your own (and when I say leave, I mean to leave to another room in the pack house, not leaving for eternity - unlike what you was planning to do) like you haven’t just done that yourself???? It's so childish. Also, why is it that she is constantly portrayed as this clueless damsel in distress? Fair enough if she had some crazy growth of a character but she didn’t, she just felt like a brat majority of the time, with the occasional and temporary revelation. Also, you’re telling me the scars etc that were supposedly covering the MC's body (if I’ve remembered that correctly) weren't noticeable with all the dresses she wore or when they got heated in the bedroom? Or was that meant to be like mental scars? But even so, I felt like she got over that pretty quickly. As if being abused, figuring out about herself and a war over the horizon isn’t enough, this 16-year-old gets pregnant with triplets due on the day of the war... At this point, I would have been surprised if this didn’t happen. Her whole life is a cake of obstacles, with no basis. On top of that, she has a 75% chance of dying… let's throw more fire on an already burning building.

Axel is better but not by far, he’s still childish, he doesn’t show many qualities to be this big powerful alpha, other than when he spoke to his pack and punched down a poor tree. He isn’t protective, assertive or not as involved with the pack as you think an alpha, special alpha at that, would be.
The reasoning for the MC old pack being abused…. Well, you’ll have to fill in the blank because it doesn’t make sense why. I’m sorry but why is everyone behaving like children? It wasn’t just one member of the pack but the WHOLE pack abusing her??? There's just no basis for it. The only way I can describe it is juvenile.

Another thing that annoyed me was that I felt like the description of their special abilities was pretty childish, like “powers” and “special powers” just made it seem immature - but that's just me being picky. Also, how is it that she learns all her powers with a snap of her fingers? Hardly any failed attempts, she just? Gets it? ANOTHER point, why run into the forest when you know you’re going to war with a pack close to you? Allowing them to cause problems?? She’s just so naive and makes some very questionable decisions.

Overall, I think the concept of this book was good, but the execution of the book just really wasn't for me. There were just too many discrepancies. One massive disappointing scene for me was when Axel found out about the MC agreeing to help the pack that abused her and the scene with them all meeting. That scene alone has so much potential, but alas it wasn’t as good as I was hoping it would be - but that might be on me like a certain type of werewolf book. I think the childlike feel of this book makes more sense if you think about these wolves having no adult role models whatsoever and that pack, not just the main but others, are run by children.

With this and the addition of taking out the mature scenes, I think this book would be a lot more enjoyable as the only thing that felt mature about it was the sex scenes. None of the characters had any special qualities, if anything they felt like puppets, none of them was serious about their position, and the two guardians acted more like babysitters than protectors. They all lack personality, and the dialogue is stiff and childish. I don’t enjoy books with special MCs without the qualities to go with them and unfortunately, I don’t enjoy the instant love trope either. I like my Heroines to take no crap, be strong-willed and fight as hard and love harder. I enjoy scenes where the MC proves themselves and basically says 'screw you'. This book didn’t have either.

I think if you’re new to the werewolf genre this book might be good for you. But if you’ve used to reading this genre it is most definitely NOT for you.

Nope, nope, nope.

I'm starting to trust ratings less and less.
This book felt like it was written by a 16 year old that just really wanted to finish it so they could turn it in for a grade.
I thought I knew what instant love was from previous books, but this one has forced me to see the true definition. It's literally just a few sentences between "Oh no, I'm terrified of Alphas and this guy is an alpha, I'm going to hang my head because I'm scared of being beaten" to I let out a soft moan ????

That's not even the tip of the iceberg. Two wolves from her new pack actually spend a day as jokers, trying to make her laugh by juggling.. magic tricks.. and trying to do bad british accents.

AND. THEN.
They TOUCH her hair and she just a./fjoiearuaw supposedly flips the F out. But the way it was written may as well have been shakes finger.. huffs... puffs... then suddenly her eyes widen, which I'm imagining a little kid, and she says "do not ever touch my hair". After she like "flew across the room" or something. I don't even..

That was the end for me.

Immature, Unrealistic, and a Headache

After the first sentence I could tell this was going to be hard to finish. Once I hit the first war council meeting exactly halfway through the book, I couldn't stand it anymore. Not only was the age difference between the main characters very off-putting for having a detailed sexual relationship (the girl being 16 and the man 20), but the writing was extremely jumpy, basic, and immature. I was mentally bashing my head into a wall because of all the giggling. Yes, I'm silly myself, but the jokes weren't even funny. Everything felt like it was being written by a 12-year-old girl, until we got to the steamy scenes. Those were the only decently written scenes in this book. And I honestly just skimmed them.
Despite the 4 star rating on this book, PLEASE don't be fooled. This is unprofessional to the max. And pretty inappropriate, considering the protagonist is a minor. This is almost child porn. It makes me sick.

This book is ok, it was free on KU so I figured why not. There are a few problems with the book. I-it’s kinda boring, there are long intervals which not much happening. 2- the author really struggled to decide if she wanted this book to be ya or na. For example, Celina is 16, Axel is 20. I do feel like with shifter romances you have to be flexible, they are animals so the age gap didn’t bother me. What bothered me was C acted very immature, constantly mentioned how she was only 16, but then the book is written with many grown up situations. What I found annoying was she was written with almost split personalities. One from a mature POV, and the other from a 16 immature POV and then she just flipped back and forth throughout the book. Pick a lane!

Not believable

Sometimes the author was writing from a Characters pov, but then would through in a random comment to the reader. It would be fine if that's the way the whole book was written. But it only happen on occasion making it odd and weird. The storyline was not believable in any sense. The love story has no build up there just instantly in love. And if I had to read one more time about how she was picked up bridal style I was going to puke.

Wow! I remember reading this book when I was younger on KU and I was definitely looking back with rose tinted glasses because I completely forgot how entirely Wattpadian this book was. I came out of this book hating all characters (except Callum he was alright) and wondering what on Earth was wrong with my fourteen year old self.

The worst thing about this book was the concerning age difference (He is 20, she is 16) between the characters and how this is referenced throughout the book. It also plays into the icky innocence corruption thing that is just bizarre. I can enjoy a book on the basis of an interesting premise alone but the addition of the weird age gap fetishism to the already festering cesspit of childish writing, strange sentence choices and dislikable characters was the final straw for me.

The second worse thing about the book was the two main characters, we spend a good chunk of the book bouncing between the two POVs. Celina is mind numbingly boring and one dimensional and provides a healthy dose of secondhand embarrassment (the 'don't touch my hair' scene oh god no) and eventually becomes a bit of a Mary sue but as bad as she is, Axel is so much worse. I remember his introduction and thinking 'This guy, really?' for a dangerously sexy alpha masculine macho male, he fell flat on his face because I felt more attracted to literally every other male in this book. He just seems incredibly creepy and slimy.

The last thing that really stood out to me was the crappy world building, every time a character would give Celina a lengthy exposition on the lore and creation of this world I would leave with more questions than answers. It is still not fully clear to me weather or not this is an individual world with only ware wolves, how exactly do the packs function and the entire timeline with the shaded wolves and colored ones. I wouldn't have even bothered criticising this aspect of the book if the book hadn't spent so much time discussing it.

Overall however, I was very excited to find this book. I had a vague recollection of the storyline and to find it i went through all the books under the ware wolf tag on KU. It has a lot wrong with it but in a strange was is mindlessly entertaining, you don't have to remember details about the characters or the lore because there is a good chance the book forgets those before you do. I will probably be checking out the rest of the books in this series.

I really wanted to like this series, the description gripped me and I had to read this instantly. To sum this book up in one word I would have to say, disappointing.

The beginning was great, main character with a troubled past who decides she can and will change her future and give herself a better life. perfect.
Then the cliques of werewolves books come out to play.

Celina is a special wolf, ultra rare and is part of a long running prophecy. She is suddenly mates to the most attractive wolf she has ever seen, Axel who conveniently happens to be an alpha. very handy. A war is declared. shocking. and she happens to accidently fall pregnant and her due dates the same day as a major attack happens. hmmm ok?

Axel isn't the type of character I can really feel jealous over, he has a pretty bad temper - sometimes taken out on his mate. not cool. and then he can be really mushy. not the best love interest in my opinion.

I really love werewolves books and even though they 95% all end in a very similar way there is still something different about the books, this book did not have the surprise element at all and was pretty guessable.

It wasn't awful but wasn't great either. Callum and Comrade definitely made this book for me. Will I read the next one? - I very much doubt it.

I tried and failed to enjoy this book.

In spite of what the heroine has lived through you'd think she would have become a woman enwisened and older than her years due to the abuse she suffered. Instead she is juvenile, whiney and downright annoying, not only that she's 16? I could not enjoy reading this book from her point of view, she just kept running away, crying or whining. This is a character who is supposed to be special, have some sort of super strength because she is the last White Wolf ever and yet she behaves like a toddler. Also the Alpha, The most amazing last Black wolf ever, whom is also her Mate, the protector and leader of the pack was just as childish, despite being a few years older than her. He wasn't attentive, he didn't have the personality of a person in power, actually he was a bit of a jerk. And the side characters randomly kept breaking out in British accents to make the heroine laugh... Why? They are her protectors, they are supposed to be the guards who put her life before their own and instead they act like jokesters of a frat boy party or little boys.

None of there characters were serious or have any qualities I liked. I did not finish. I hate special snowflake heroines who actually have no special qualities at all. I like kick-ass heroines who take no prisoners and this one is definitely not that.

This book is definitely different and unique.
I enjoyed this book but I would only recommend this book to young adults.
I loved how Celina finally decided to run away from her pack due to the mistreatment there and I understand trying to get away from a situation like that is very hard! So great job Celina, that took a lot of courage and bravery. The only thing that bugged me about Celina is that I felt she kept going back and forth by feeling confident and then feeling weak. I understand if you have those moments but every other emotion with her?! (Ok, maybe I'm over exaggerating, but you get what I mean if you see/feel what I mean if you read or have read the book)
Axel was a very interesting alpha let me just say that. I can only describe Axel as interesting because that is the only word that comes to mind when I think of him.
And talk about a mega cliff hanger at the end of the book! Like why would Violent Samuels put us through that?! Like I NEED to know what happened to poor Comrade! Did he get kidnapped?! Did he die?!

This book seemed like it was going to get me out of my book slump, but I was yet again horribly wrong in that assumption. The writing was not very strong, the characters were childish and the story just seemed to be a bit much in terms of it's development. It's like the author just decided to make the problem bigger and bigger for the main characters for the hell of it. It's felt out of place, and the stakes just got bigger and bigger for no apparent reason. I don't know if she was trying to keep the readers attention, but it just didn't work for me.

I know there is another book in the series but I will not be reading it. I am also not invested in how this book will turn out. To quote another reviewer "I will forget this book in a week".

I think some people will like this book, but I sadly did not. Maybe in a few years I will re-visit this author and see what new works she has done.

In the beginning the author glossed over how she lived with the first pack and i just decided to ignore that and when i started to comprehend the plot i was impressed but then i started noticing other flaws which emphasised the "amateurism" of the author well,i cringed a lot,but i decided to keep reading and i liked the chemistry between the main two characters thou the "love at first sight" was too instantaneous even for werewolves but i kept reading all the same but the character grace i think _i read it awhile back so i don't remember_ was oof putting and it just was the last straw i couldn't tolerate The book any longer , in short i really liked the beginning but sadly the book was too ,let's say amateur for me and I'm really disappointed ,the book ideas were really good*sigh*so I'm just sad i really don't mean to be mean "it just had so much potential i couldn't enjoy.

This book was a chore to read. I got annoyed with how many times the characters giggled, picked up the MC bridal style, and many others things. I thought the characters were immature, even for the ages they're supposed to be because two of them have roles that should've made them more mature. The one nice thing I can say about the book is the cover is good, unfortunately that's it. This just wasn't a book I enjoyed and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Content: some cursing (though not much since the MC doesn't like it), several scenes between the MC and her mate that to me were too detailed for a YA book

DNF at 16%. Too cringey. The behaviors of the characters are totally unrealistic, even for a YA novel. It feels like this story was written by an 8 year old with a lack of understanding of normal human interactions. So I wasn’t surprised when I looked up the author bio and it suggests that the author is still a child.

It’s quite the accomplishment to have so many published books as a young author and she should be proud. Hopefully she keeps at it and improves at writing, if this is what she likes. Unfortunately, this book (and I’m sure the others in the series as well) is just not a good read if you’re older than a preteen.

This was so bad.. I have no words.

People, the fact that someone liked your Wattpad stories does NOT mean you can publish them, at least not without some professional editing and the help of knowledgeable beta readers. Why I say this you ask? Because I refuse to believe that none-other than a PNR loving tween with fifty likes in Wattpad wrote this monumental cluster-fudge.

The worst of it is that it could -big could- have been good or at the very least decent, but the author just went over over the top -no, it's not a mistake, she went so beyond over the top that she reached outer space- this was just a big joke, it's so bad Amazon should do something about it.

It literally took all my willpower, strength and discipline to finish this, just to see how bad could it get... it didn't disappoint.

Definitely different

I loved this story. Although the wiring isn't as smooth as I'd like it to be I did finish it. The story felt like the writer was in a rush. Writhing happened so fast. But if you can overlook that and continue reading you find a beautiful story of anguish, strength, self will, and true bonds. Axel and Celina have one rocky road top travel together. Trust issues, fear, lust, and one horrible past Alpha. Can a mate's love conquer all?

Not a fav

Mixed feelings about this book. I didnt quiet like the protagonist in some instances. Some situations for me were a bit stretched and felt over the top, even for me. I couldnt relate to anything in this book except maybe the trauma but even the after effects i felt she should have were missing and unrealistic. There were aspects of the story i enjoyed however and also the characters but otherwise still left with mixed feelings.

This Book is Poorly Written!

This book is poorly written. Its really cheesy and cringy. I couldn't even finish with book. I kept saying in my head, "Who acts ot reacts like that?" The whole thing was weird and I will definately not he reading any of the other books. Luckily I read it from Kindle Unlimited, so it didn't waste money but it sure wanted time. And who spells Jewelry like this: Jewellelry?

I listened to the audio version of this and it had the characters, plot and was going great till it's all about her being 16 and he is 20. It was a YA book till sex came into play and that turned it to more adult book.
Spoiler--- I wanted to like it more and the narrator did a good job it was just the young love and her crying how can she have kids so young. Yup, you have sex and get pregnant is how.

I read all three, I didn't want to read the branch off books though. The back bone of the story was pretty amazing. That's why I gave it 3 stars. It was very repetitive in the books, some of it was just a little forced and there were quite a few editing errors. Overall I did like it and wanted to know what happened to everyone which is why I stuck with it.
