I loved that cover and the premise of this story, sadly I’m a little disappointed.

I liked Emery and Carter well enough. They’re both good people who are very stubborn and I enjoyed the button pushing. There’s a pretty large group of characters and I did jump in without reading any of the previous books, but this was slightly overwhelming. I eventually gave up on trying to keep everyone straight.

Plot wise it was decent. There’s a lot of push and pull and while they get together fairly quickly, they don’t communicate well and things became repetitive. I had hoped for a deeper connection between them since they’ve known each other since they were kids, but it all felt so shallow.

Overall, I did like the characters enough to want to know how it ended, but it seemed to be missing a spark I was hoping for.

**Huge thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca for providing the arc free of charge**

It seems odd reading a Christmas story when it's literally a 100 degrees outside. A Dash of Christmas did a good job of giving me a bit of early Christmas cheer. Two people who have always been rivals end up working together on a cookbook project. It was entertaining to see how they responded to each other. Both have individual issues to deal with and circumstances beyond their control. I found the story sweet and charming. The cast of well meaning yet intrusive characters are likeable, relatable and fun. This is simply a delightful little story to brighten your holiday.

A Dash of Christmas is Carter Montgomery and Emery Monaghan’s enemies to friends to lovers story! Loved the characters backstory-they were childhood rivals-and how Eliza Montgomery’s holiday cookbook project brought them together.
Emery learns that her politician boyfriend has been cheating on her. To add to her humiliation, he has been accused of inappropriate sexual behavior. By employing this current events storyline, the author makes Emery a relatable heroine. Everyone understands being disappointed by friend or lover but, Emery has been embarrassed beyond belief. Eliza Montgomery offers Emery the perfect place to regroup and hide out from the media; her family’s condo in New York City and enlists her help in a charity project.
Eliza knows that her son Carter, who is helping her with the cookbook, is scheduled to stay at the condo. Eliza makes sure Carter and Emery are at the condo at the same time—she’s learned a lot about matchmaking from her sister- in -law! Sparks fly when the couple realizes they are both working on the same project!
I loved the dynamic between Carter and Emery—they are total opposites and their conversations are fabulous. Samantha Chase is an excellent storyteller—Emery and Carter’s story draws the reader in from the first chapter. Loved that famous chef Carter was appalled that Emery’s breakfast choice was chocolate pop tarts—I could imagine his expression- and that Emery nudged him by saying that grape jelly was her favorite fruit. Carter loved creating his fancy ingredient meals from scratch while Emery had no problem eating frozen pizza!
As Carter and Emery spend time together working on the cookbook-their mutual attraction sizzles and it’s such fun to have them fall in love while arguing about gouda, pop tarts and kettle corn! Their visons of a holiday meal are totally opposite; Carter wanted to create a fancy over the top meal while Emery wanted to eat a traditional turkey dinner with stuffing and mashed potatoes and a few cookies for dessert. Loved that Carter got Emery to try different foods and that Emery’s idea of simple, comfort foods resonated and inspired Carter.
A Dash of Christmas brings the west coast Montgomerys to New York for a mock Christmas dinner comprised of recipes from the cookbook. Loved that Emery spent time with Meghan, Summer, Gabriella and Maylene.
Carter and Emery’s story has all the feels—it’s a heartwarming celebration of family, food and love. I am sad that my favorite series has ended and loved that Ms. Chase gave the Montgomery family a perfect Christmas card ending!
Thank you Samantha for writing a fabulous series! I loved William Montgomery and his charming, over the top, matchmaking schemes, adored Gina and Mac, related to Summer, Maylene and Ethan’s romance and cheered for Zach to recover and realize that Gabriella was his perfect match! Megan and Alex’s story will always be special to me—it’s my comfort read. This series is a fan favorite because everyone needs a little magic in their life!

A Dash of Christmas is hands down my favorite book from Samantha Chase! it had everything I wanted in a romance story that is set during the Holidays. Carter and Emery were so freaking hilarious and their whole situation was such a unique spin on "" love to hate you, hate to love you"" romance.

A Dash of Christmas is the prefect book to get you ready for Christmas, the fact that a big component was focusing on a family cook book was so intriguing, having Carter and Emery fight on what recipes to include made it even better. One of my favorite lines after Emery convincing Carter to try something that she likes is : ""Welcome to the Dark Side. We have empty calories."" I was literally eating up (no pun intended) all of the hilarious banters that happened throughout the book between Emery and Carter.

This book was multifaceted, it also touched upon a very serious topic that has been circulating around the media lately, what I appreciated from Samantha is how she utilized this to make it a story on Emery coming out stronger and more powerful at the end. I also enjoyed how Samantha showed the struggle of a relationship, not everything is cookie cutter, Carter and Emery fight but also empower one another. Their interaction sometimes was so deep for instance when Carter is expressing to Emery how he sees her;

"""" You're the strongest woman I know. And when you go home, you need to remember that and not let anyone try to convince you that you're not. You're strong and smart and beautiful, and they're all intimidated by that. By tearing you down, they make themselves feel stronger. Show them what you're made of, Em. Prove to them how wrong they are.""""

We all need a Carter in our lives. I loved this book and it was the first that i read from the Montgomery family series. I am now very interested in the rest of the clan and can't wait to read about all the other couples who were mentioned in this book.

Emery Monaghan’s fiancé is caught up in a scandal and instead of doing what her parents want her to do she decides to take up her friends’ idea of going to their apartment to be away from the spotlight. Carter Montgomery is in town from New Orleans for two reasons, one too works on his new restaurant and to finish the cook book he started for his mother. When he arrives at his family’s apartment he does not know that his mother has let a family friend stay there. Emery is more than a family friend to Carter. They grew up together and went to school together. They always seemed to be in competition with each other but Carter always felt less than when he was around her. Now they find out that each one has been attracted to the other one and Cater finds that she is to work on the finishing touches of the book. Recipes get changed the past gets revisited and besides the past Carter finally finds what he is looking for in a restaurant, but what about the woman he has always thought about? Will he get the girl or let his career take first place instead of his heart. Read this wonderful story to find out. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars. This was a fun christmas read. enemies to lovers. I'm coming around to this trope. It was super hot when they were fighting and then suddenly getting steamy. I didn't appreciate how long it took the hero to realize how he needed to be supportive of his heroine. But he did come around and apologize. So loved that. I did think the scene where all the sisters/sister in laws were sitting around chatting and suddenly all 3 announced they were pregnant was more than cheesy. Just like why? WHy? But overall I did enjoy this.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the 9th in the series - and I have read and enjoyed them all; this is no exception. Fun and flirty, it mixes the usual blatant match-making with family and ultimately love.

Emery is, to say the least, in a bind and so grateful when she is offered a safe place to hide, and just as importantly a task to take her mind off her philandering, public figure of an ex-fiancé. That this means she will be spending time with her childhood nemesis, Carter Montgomery is still preferable to being at home with the paparazzi at the door, and parents who think she should support the philanderer!

As she and Carter come to terms with the Christmas cookery book project and Carter has to acknowledge, at least to himself, that Emery is getting under his skin, we see the potential relationship becoming ever more likely. I loved how she managed to get from him a true view of what should be in the cookery book, that she took him back to a time when he was more positive about his life choices. She helps him realise the good, and consider how he puts to rest some of the issues arising from his relationship with his father.

It is all good stuff, and plenty of heat and passion spill over from their improving friendship and, well, Eliza may just have a success on her hands that she can crow about too!

4 star review of A Dash Of Christmas (The Montgomery Brothers #9) by Samantha Chase

I love any story that is centred around Christmas; it’s a time for family and friends to get together and celebrate life.

I like Samantha Chase’s style of writing and the story kept me entertained from the first to the last chapter.

This is Carter Montgomery and Emery Monaghan's story. They have had a rivalry since they were children and now thanks to meddling by Carter’s mother Eliza , Emory finds herself smack bang in the middle of an awkward situation with an unhappy Carter.

Carter, a professional chef and restauranteur is at a crossroads and needs to decide what he wants to do next. Emory has agreed to help with the charity cookbook Eliza is creating not knowing that Carter is also involved in the project.

Sparks fly and it seems no matter the subject, the banter between them adds some spice to the story. I liked the sass and fire Emory projected and I loved how she was prepared to knock him down a peg or two when it was needed.

The chemistry between Carter and Emory builds and you can feel the tension and passion.

Although a stand alone, I think you would get more enjoyment if you read the other books in the series first, but that is just my opinion.

I loved catching up on other members of the Montgomery family, it just added another layer to my enjoyment.

A amazing addition to an amazing series.

Carter was the Montgomery who broke the mold. As a chef, he did not go into the family business (which I guess is marketing) and broke much of his father's expectations. Emery's life is pretty much as messed up as it could get, she was cheated on and her family sided with the enemy. They have known each other since middle school, always hiding their feelings in bickering and competition. But his parents saw through his ruse, and it was inevitable that with a little bit of matchmaking, these two would find their way into each other's arms.
This romance was very believable, there were no extreme circumstances and no unintended miscommunications between the protagonist, they said what was on their mind and did exactly that. The banter between the two made was a super fun, quick read.

I recommend this book. It can be read as a standalone, but it's much better read as a part of the series.

P.S. I loved the Christmas newsletter's (are they a thing? Like Emery I wonder if a family like this could exist in real life. ) at the end, I didn't know I needed it, but it was great to see that all the HEA are still going strong. Are they any more single
Montgomer's left?

I received this books from Netgalley in exchange for a honest review, all opinions are my own.

I’m so sad to see the Montgomery’s come to and end but Samantha left the best couple for last! Who doesn’t love a little enemies to lovers troupe with some Christmas thrown in for good measure.

Carter has been struggling with the construction of his newest restaurant and he’s not quite sure why. After the death of his father last year and knowing how his father wasn’t fan of his decision to become a chef... he was feeling a bit lost. Then on top of everything the one woman who got on his last nerve was dropped into his lap to “help” with a project he had promised his mom he would help with.

Emery had never felt so isolated before in her life. Not only had her husband been caught cheating (again) but he had also been caught abusing women. And the kicker... her own parents told her to suck it up and go back to her husband. With his wealth and status, people are after him so she needs to stick by his side. So when an old family friend reaches out and gives her a place to hide away - the last person she imagined seeing with Carter.

These two were witty and fun - the back and forth. The bit on angst fueled this romance and I really enjoyed these two together.

Although I am going to miss the Montgomery’s I can’t wait to see what’s next for M’s. Chase!

Finally, Carter Montgomery! This has been a long time coming and made us wonder who was going to be his forever girl. It had to be someone special, with a love for a big family and able to love his cooking.

So here comes Emery!!! Who loves his family but is hiding out from hers, doesn’t want the spotlight at all and doesn’t like his pretentious cooking. It’s love at first sight.

Except first sight was 20+ years ago and she is more like family, the tomboy girl he watched grow up and was his biggest pain for most of his life.

This is the final story of the incredible Montgomery family. If you haven’t read them all, you can easily read this as a stand alone but you will want to go back to the beginning and catch up on all of the Montgomery’s. Watch them fall in love, suffer loss and stick together. It is truly an incredible series and Carter and Emery are an awesome way to end it. Thank you Samantha Chase for sharing them with us. Now back to Magnolia Sound…..

All the feels and Christmas too! So very sorry to see the end of the Montgomery clan but this one was done in the best way possible. Carter finally, FINALLY gets his happy ending and who would have thought it would come at the hands of his nemesis, Emery Monaghan. They have been competing with each other since grade school and now when she needs a safe place after her life blows up Eliza, Carter's mom, finds the perfect job for her...helping with the cookbook Carter is supposed to be working on but not putting any effort into. Watching these two banter and work together and finally take the plunge it was spectacular. Make sure you read all the way to the end. Love those letters! This could be read as a standalone if you really want to but why would you want to?

A Dash of Christmas by Samantha Chase is the last and final book in the The Montgomery Brothers series. I have loved, savored, and devoured each and every book. I couldn't get enough! And Carter and Emery's story didn't disappoint. Their banter was so hilarious and spot on. So many laugh out loud moments. And their sizzling chemistry was SMOKING!!

From the start i was hooked . i couldn't put my kindle down. No one can captivate an audience quite like Mrs Chase. Her romances are so believable, you find yourself rooting for the couples. Her romances usually contain small amounts of angst and drama which I love. Sometimes I just want the sweet drama free, fun, sexy stories with characters that I always ADORE! And that epilogue all I could do was smile the whole time I read it. This book was a PERFECT way to end this series! Well done Samantha Chase!

Chase continues to charm hearts with real emotion and unforgettable characters. A Dash of Christmas is not only a romance, but a story of familial love. The Montgomerys are unpredictable, irresistible, heartwarming and hilariously, entertaining. This family invites us into their fold at the best of times, the worst of moments and all the drama in between. Add in a dash of matchmaking and an age old childhood rivalry and there is no getting better than that. Carter and Emery are reminder that sometimes less than perfect could turn out to fit just right.

The first book of the Montgomery Brothers (and anything by Samantha Chase) that I've read. I think if I had read any others I would've been really annoyed with Carter's daddy issues. Book was a little more deep than I expected for a holiday romance. I liked Emery, a lot. Kinda wished she had some time on her own though. Try not to read when hungry. Lots of food talk, in a good way.

Although not terribly written, it just became a little boring and repetitive. While both characters were likeable overall, I thought the way he was portrayed as unreasonable for wanting to protect her towards the end of the book was odd. Frankly, the H made more sense than anyone else.

Cute, no real surprises, likeable characters.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

What a fun book with two very competitive "enemies" that start to realize that they were made for each other, after a long while! At first, I did not see how Emery and Carter were even going to have anything in common when she was such a junk food lover and he was kind of a snooty foodie.

It was great to watch as they both battled their past issues and worked to get past those struggles. You could see that Emery needed to stand on her own and be able to stand up to her parents. Carter needed to get past his bad memories of his father and only later found there were some good memories.

I loved that while Carter kept struggling with his new restaurant, when the right solution showed up, he was ready for it and knew that it was right.

Loved the HEA, and their gift exchange!

•••••••••

REVIEW: A DASH OF CHRISTMAS by Samantha Chase is the ninth and final instalment in the author’s contemporary, adult THE MONTGOMER BROTHERS romance series focusing on the Montgomery siblings and cousins. This is chef and restaurateur Carter Montgomery, and Emery Monaghan’s story line. A DASH OF CHRISTMAS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Carter and Emery) with an introductory chapter from sisters-in-law Eliza and Monica Montgomery A DASH OF CHRISTMAS focuses on Eliza and Monica’s attempts to find a love interest for Eliza’s son Carter Montgomery. When her fiancé with political aspirations is caught with his proverbial pants down, on numerous occasions, Emery Monaghan’s finds herself seeking shelter, far away, for the paparazzi and unsupportive family who are defending her obnoxious ex. With an offer to help write and edit a Montgomery cookbook for the upcoming holiday season, Emery will come face to face with her childhood nemesis, in the guise of chef and restaurateur Carter Montgomery. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Carter and Emery as they are forced to live together while they work on the book, and the potential fall-out as their time together comes to a close.

Emery Monaghan was all but forced into the relationship with Congressman Derek Whitman, a relationship that her parents supported and adored but Emery knew Derek had been unfaithful, and the sh*t was about to hit the fan. A formerly independent woman, Emery found herself floundering in a world of embarrassment and heart break when the news broke about Derek Whitman. When Eliza Montgomery offered Emery a chance to ‘hide away’ from prying eyes, Emery jumped at the chance but was caught unaware when Carter Montgomery was pulled back into her life. Carter Montgomery had no idea he would be working with Emery Monoghan, the young woman who saw Carter as nothing more than the antagonizing boy her upset her life but Carter hid his affections for our story line heroine, affections he was hoping to bring to the present.

The relationship between Carter and Emery is an enemies to lovers; an opposites attract, acrimonious childhood friendship that disguised Carter’s attraction to the little girl he would grow to love. The $ex scenes are passionate but mostly implied.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including many of the previous story line couples. We are briefly introduced to Emery’s ex fiancé Derek Whitman, and her social climbing parents who are willing to turn a blind eye to Derek’s behavior.

A DASH OF CHRISTMAS is a story of family, friendship, second chances, and love; an enjoyable and sweet tale of one man’s professional struggle, and one woman’s spirited attempts to make it on her own. The premise is spirited and emotional; the romance is tender; the characters are energetic and inspiring.

Love, love, LOVED A Dash of Christmas!!! It has absolutely EVERYTHING a romance reader could love with a dash of Christmas (yeah, tongue in cheek, I had to go there) thrown in!!! A Dash of Christmas by Samantha Chase is the 9th book in Samantha Chase’s Montgomery Brothers Series. When this book hit my Kindle, I could not wait to start it.
Emery Monaghan has had enough from the cheating low life she was engaged to. She forgave his butt when she found out about that girl, he had cheated on her with. He said it was the only time, and he would never do it again. Now, she knew the truth, and the reporters would not leave her alone so she could deal with her pain and humiliation in peace. Emery knew she had to get away. When Eliza Montgomery, a family friend, offered to let her stay at the family’s condo in New York, and a job working on the cookbook with her son Carter’s recipes fundraiser, she jumped at the chance.
Carter Montgomery has been running non-stop between all of his current restaurants and his newest venture being built in Montauk for a very long time. He NEEDS a break in the worst way. And, he is determined to do that in Montauk after a brief stop at the family condo in New York. Yep, the same condo that unbeknownst to Carter, Emery is staying at….
Emery and Carter grew up together and have had a bit of love hate relationship. However, the sparks were always there but neither wanted to admit it. Emery and Carter were both smart cookies in school, but Emery hated that everything came easily to Carter, but she had to work her butt off.
I loved watching the sparks fly when they started working together at the condo before Carter left for Montauk. Then, when her ex’s lawyer shows up threatening to give up her hiding spot to the press, Carter steps in and brings her to Montauk to hide out there with him. And the sexual tension really starts.
One of the things I really loved about this book, and one of the reasons I loved this series is the sense of family. How they care so much about each other, and once you become one of the family…sigh.
I loved the whole book/series, but I think my favorite part of this book were the Christmas Cards… Sorry Ladies, you will have to read this wonderful book to find out what I am talking about, no spoilers.
I was first introduced to Samantha Chase’s wonderful books when I was at my library looking for a new book to read, when I read the blurb to Meant for You the 5th book the series, I knew I had to read it. I fell in love with Samantha Chase and her story writing abilities when I read this book. I went back and binged on the first 4 books; I could not wait for them to hit my Kindle. I have been a fan of this series ever since and this is why I am sad to see it end. I have also bought the audio versions of all of the books released thus far, because I have loved it so much. Ms. Chase and her books have become one of my go to authors when I need a pick me up when I am having a bad time. So, thank you, Ms. Chase from the bottom, or rather ALL of my heart for all the “pick me ups” your stories give me. <3
Thank you for reading my review. I hope I helped you make the decision to purchase this book. In my opinion, I think you will love this book as much as I have.

A Dash Of Christmas
Montgomery Brothers #9
Samantha Chase
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Outstanding. Absolutely beautiful. A five star romance. Samantha has cooked a up a masterpiece in this Montgomery story. It’s been a while since we’ve e heard from the Montgomery’s, but Carter and Emery has cemented themselves as favourites in my eyes… ♥️

Carter Montgomery is a famous chef, owner of 2 very successful restaurants, with a third on its way. He lives a very busy, chaotic life, between running kitchens, restaurants and his mother’s meddling for help with a new Holiday cookbook for her charity work. As he heads to Manhattan before heading out to his new restaurant life for Carter is about to be very different.

Emery Monaghan is really on the outs, her politician ex fiancé cheated in her ( not just once), her parents are siding with him, and she’s running from everything. After a brief call with Eliza Montgomery, she’s now hiding out in a Manhattan building from the press, her family, her whole life. It consists of reading and frozen pizza… so while she’s asleep she leaps at the sound of the front door the unit opening… Coming face to face with a man, she didn’t think she’d ever see again has a squeal of murder, she didn’t anticipate him. Trying to strangle her either… Carter Freaking Montgomery!

So these two have known each other since fifth grade, and let’s say weren’t best friends, frenemies would be a better word. But years after school finished, these two are about to work together even if it is one sided…. Steamrolled by his mother, Carter will work with Emery to fulfil this new cookbook, and hopefully find another part of his life to fulfil ( hint, hint, nudge, nudge), Eliza isn’t quiet in her plans for Carter and Emery. Carter sees Emery as a colossal pain in his butt, she’s closed minded, big opinionated but she’s sexy and the banter is always fun… his favourite time of day I’d making her mad. Emery is blindsided by Carter, not just his “everything must be perfect” to EVERYTHING, but his sexiness and her want to fight with him…

It’s not long before hate, curse words and attitude turns to glances, caught breaths and kisses…. Carter has found the easiest way to shut Emery up – kiss her, and he’s more than happy to oblige. Emery seems more than happy to take those kisses, because hey Carter kisses like he cooks, strong take no prisoners. As they find a niche that has them working on the book, but more importantly their lives, that both come with walls to climb and conquer. But while Carter has a clear view in his future, Emery is a ball of nervous energy, with no clear path ahead. Never fear with a man like Carter, or anyone of the hot Montgomery men, she’ll be just fine…. If she lets him help. As fierce as Emery is, she’s been cut open by those closest to her, and to move forward she must take control of her past. It any feat with parents like hers…. Will Carter stand up for her? You bet he will. Nothing sexier then a Montgomery man with a plan.

Finally Carter found someone who gives as good as they take.Carter needed someone who would challenge him and Emery does that and more. She has him feel again. Has him see beyond what is right in front of him.

Carter is not a bad guy quite the opposite. He is caring and kind. Just focused on his goal to prove his dad wrong. Although I think in the end it was his own demons he was fighting. Carter went out of the family business and this, he thought, rankled his dad. It drove Carter to become very singularly focused to the point where he begins to forget what is important-family, love and happiness. He loses insight to the joy of what he loves to do- cook and be creative. See smiles on those faces he loves and those who eat his creations. He becomes focused on success and what success really is. Success isn’t money or opening restaurants but the little things like happy memories, enjoying a meal with loved ones, seeing smiles on those faces when they eat his meals and enjoying life. Emery reminds him of these things and brings this back into his life. His mom helps him confront his demons and move on.

Emery is a sweet, intelligent girl. At times she frustrates me with her lack of confidence and her need to always egg Carter on. I think though that she, at first, doesn’t really know how to talk to Carter. So instead of a normal conversation it is more challenges. She challenges his way of thinking and seeing and that is a good thing. As she does this, he challenges her as well. He also shows her that she is smart, capable, beautiful and desirable. He respects her and treats her as an equal. He doesn’t talk at her but to her and listens to her. He doesn’t judge but keeps an open mind and is supportive and this is what Emery needs after all she has gone thorugh. He helps her get strong and feel she can face the future.

their story is full of entertaining moments, tender moments and some great banter. I love his dialogue with himself over fast food. How Emery got him to leave the pretentious and go back to basics and see that sometimes comfort and safety in food and life is what one needs. The romance begins as a challenging one another, both with opinions of each other they must change and becomes one of friendship, trust, loyalty and respect. They learn to see things in different lights because of each other and Carter finds his way to what is important once more. Emery with Carter’s help and support finds herself and her voice. their intimacy is entertaining at times and sexy. They truly complement one another and belong together. THis is a warm tender entertaining feel good story that just warms you inside and smiling throughout.

Where do I even begin with this book? It has everything you could want in a sweet Christmas read that warms your heart and keeps you turning the pages from beginning to end as fast as you can! Samantha Chase knows how to write! That is one thing for sure. I fell in love with all the characters in this book very quickly and the writing just flowed flawlessly.

Emery is caught up in a local scandal involving her fiance. Emery is doing her best to stay out of the spotlight and away from the preying news reporters on her front lawn. When an old friend's mom, Eliza, calls and offers a safe place for Emery to go to while things are in the press with her then fiance, Emery takes her up on the offer. Eliza also offers a small job to Emery helping put together a fundraiser cookbook for a charity that she is on the board of. Emery accepts the offer in hopes that it will keep her mind off of what is going on.

Carter, Eliza's son and Emery's longtime friend, is a cook with several of his own restaurants and has offered to help his mom with the cookbook as well. Carter and Emery have been long time rivals and have always found a way to get at each other with their banter. When Carter finds out that Emery is going to be helping with the cookbook as well, he is not sure how all of this is going to go since he and Emery are always out to get each other seems like. Even though Carter and Emery grew up together, there was never any advances of a relationship or even a thought of it.

With Emery being caught up in all the mess with her fiance and her parents. she needs some support but no one is there for her. Carter feels sorry for her and naturally wants to help her. Will Emery accept his help and sympathy though? What happens when Carter and Emery end up spending more time together than they had expected?

Carter is such a thoughtful and likeable hero to Emery in their story! I love the way that he was always still trying to get back at Emery as well as Emery to him. Their banter back and forth reminded me a lot of my husband and I. I guess that is why I could relate to well to them. The way these two share their Christmas memories together is so heartwarming. I loved how this put you in the Christmas mood! Samantha Chase definitely cooked up a hot one with Carter and Emery. I just wish we could get more of them!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All opinions are my own. Thanks for Netgalley, the publisher and the author for an advanced copy of this book.
