I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book. This was a great read both main characters are extremely likeable.

Bryan messers up big time when he ruins a charity event, now he is in deep waters with his NFL team and needs t rescue he situation, so h finds himself volunteering for the charity Children of the Future. He cannot mess this up but cant hide his desire for the founder Scout but she makes it clear she wants nothing to do with him after the event debacle. Once he finds out that her ex is trying to pressurise her in to sleeping with him to keep the foundation open he devises a plan to keep him away from her and that could save his reputation, can he convince Scout to go along with his plan and can they keep their feelings out of it?

Scout is in some seriously big trouble thanks to Bryan at the charity that was meant to out them on the map and influence more donation, instead she is losing all her financial backers and the only one willing to help is her cheating ex who is trying to blackmail her Ito sleeping with him, no way is that happening but she was no where near prepared to deal with the sexy NFL star but when comes up with a solution she agrees. Her foundation is on the line and so is her heart. Could this really be the start of something or is he just using her?

These two have great chemistry and it deal with an issue that is often ignored with sensitivity and understanding. Great read.

I tried

But DNF I just cannot understand either character, they are both annoying as heck. Neither one should be around children. They are both selfish and childish and just plain dumb. And the backstory dumps were so awkwardly done they just messed up the flow of the book. In any case, I did not like it

I enjoyed the book a great deal, and that Jamie has her character deal with, and confront something that a lot of students still get shuffled around through the school systems with, dyslexia, not always being able to, fully get help to the extent they should, sometimes until, college levels, at least. Some parents take the diagnosis harder than, the child.

Dyslexia is often seen as being, some, students who are uninterested, a daydreamer, maybe even an overly frustrated one. So, imagine a student who is, on the field all the time. When would he have time to study, or stay after, for help? It’s hard enough for the average child, let alone one with a, learning disability. Then, if your parents are so, well off they are never home, and when they are they are more worried with you maintaining, their image. Now, you know Bryan’s life.

Living your life in,“the fake it until you make it.” Which Bryan does go, all the way to, the NFL. One thing you need to understand, why it is so hard at first to diagnose, at first non readers are extremely smart, and have great memorization skills. And this is, where Bryan’s downfall comes. And, his first run in with Scout, comes in. Let’s just say it’s memorable.

So, show stopping he will now get to spend a lot more time, with her making up for the first, time. Let’s just say, the first few days, Scout makes him pay dearly for, making her foundation suffer. After, several days of proving himself, she can’t believe what she is witnessing from, this man. He has wealth, and looks far more than her ex, and already she like him far, better.

See how these two join forces to help one another, and find way more than they are ever, bargaining for. Funny, serious, and sexy sizzle. Out of box set of books. Free on Kindle Unlimited.

When Bryan messes up at a charity even he volunteers at the same charity to make right what he did. Scout is the person in charge and she doesn't believe that he'll be as committed to the charity as he claims. When her ex threatens her charity if she doesn't sleep with him its Bryan that steps in and helps. However what neither of them expected was for attraction they felt for one another. Her ex isn't happy about it so he starts causing troubles. Will her ex end things for them? Will Bryan share his secret with Scout?

This is a great story that will captivate you from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is sizzles with each turn of the page. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Loved this book

The story about Bryan an American footballer who has made some big mistakes that have put him in a PR mess and Scout who’s volunteer organising fundraising Bryan sabotaged by being drunk at. Bryan trying to make up for what happens volunteers at the children of our future organisation. Scout at first is cold to Bryan but after him saving her from her ex boyfriend and blurts put hands off my fiancée starts a press frenzy they have to work together to sort this out or become fake engaged. This is a brilliant read loved the story line well written will be reading more books of this author

Bryan really messes up when he wrecks when he literally destroys her fund raiser and now they are enemies When he comes to her rescue and states he is her fiance to save her from an Ex he sees it has a win win situation. Her been his fiance takes the pressure of him and helps his bad boy football playing image while her been his fiance means her charity will get free publicity. Will he be able to convince her and what will happen when real feeling become involved. This is another great book by Jamie the only criticism is this one seemed to take a little while to get rolling.

Great read,

This book was a great read. I loved it and the organizations it supports. There are so many people that hide behind things because they don't want to be embarrassed, pay people off of many other things. This book talked a lot about truths. Bryan was a NFL football player who had done some things to get him suspended from the team. He started volunteering for an organization that helps kids after school not be included wrong by being with an adult. He realizes how much of an impact he has on these children and wants to help more.

Nice in theory

The writing bothers me. Like I read a book by someone that has never read a well written book.
The sentences were clunky, the feelings absent. The characters were overly dramatic and stubborn.
I don't understand the title. I don't understand anything about her previous relationship, especially "why".
But, the concept was valid and acknowledging dyslexia a nice touch. But so much more could have been done with it and it if it was written better it could have been good.

Children are our future

Hard hitting topics! Dyslexia isn't a disease rather a learning disability. Our children left to their own devices because parents must work in a system that the pay doesn't equal in a high priced economy. When donating to different benefits, remember it also takes donations in time. All hard hitting topics that add value to our children. Great story. It was a shame the proofreading took so much value away from it. No cheating or cliffhanger and you get a happy ever after.

this story isnt your typical jock and nerd love affair and was a refreshing change.
both Scout ( the girl ) and Bryan are brought together by his shame of a his past that starts a chain reaction of bad events that cause more stress for the two would be lovers. i enjoyed the story, but felt that i struggled with it at times, maybe the flow of it or the errors with bryan/ryan name maybe have been the cause of that.

I'm Not A Fan

I read this book because of the reviews and I'm of sure which book the other reviewers read because I didn't find this story overly good. The editing is terrible with Bryan's name being changed to Ryan more often than I wanted to read and heaps of typos, Brady was allowed to get away with his bad behaviour and I didn't feel the connection between Bryan and Scout. This is a first read of a Jamie Knight story and I'm not in a hurry for more.

What do you do when you mess up a charity fundraiser and the his Scout absolutely hates you........put things right. A great story of footballer Bryan needing to change his image but never realise how Scout will change his life forever. Bryan has a big secret which he will have to face and loved how Scout helps him in so many ways. Great story, loved it

Bryan is a NFL player, he would rather the public see him as a person with a drinking problem than a person that is dyslexic? Scout runs a charity to help children with adult suport and guidance after school so the kids are supervised.
This is a nice story about right and wrong, how difficult it can be to be different even if it’s just dyslexia, love, friendship and passion.
I really enjoyed reading this book and I hope you will too.
It is a standalone book with no cliffhangers and a HEA.

This was a cute enemies to lovers romance and a fake romance at that. A great book that was hard to put down once I began. Scout and Bryan was so easy to like and their chemistry was off the charts even if she had a hard time admitting it at first. A good romantic read with plenty of drama and some twists. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to review.

Romance

This is my first book by this author . Haven't read a steamy Romance before. It was a good story with just enough sexton scenes . I really liked how they bonded over time and really did fall in love .
If you like steamy romance you will like this book .
Happy reading everyone

So, so, so boring

Not the best read. The story line a boy the football play with a secret about being dyslexic, and the lady with a kids charity. I was expecting so much more from this. I am disappointed in this story and writing. It was very hard to read. Thank goodness it was not a long read.

This was a great book. I enjoyed seeing the main characters overcome their weaknesses and shortcomings. The physical story of course was steamy and definitely worth the read. There were a few moments that touched on tough subjects, but because the characters were strong enough to prevail it didn't bring the tempo down. Overall I looked the book a lot and would recommend it.

It took a long time for me to get into this book. The deep connection I was looking for between Scout and Bryan never seemed to materialise. The plot wasn't too bad, though, and the story had a sweet ending.

Passion in different forms.

Scout and Bryan's story is one of intense emotions, hate, love, lust and more. Their journey to a happy ending is full of bumps but in the end they find their HEA. I really enjoyed these characters and the flow of the story. Well done

Great storyline and chemistry. Without giving too much away, I liked the idea of the charity, and Bryans internal demons. I received an advanced copy for my honest review.

No depth

The synopsis seemed interesting, an act of redemption leading to a fake relationship that becomes real. The writing style and lack of character depth made it a struggle for me to complete.

Honest review

I liked the characters and the storyline quite a bit. I am glad they were able to share childhood struggles with each other and try to overcome them. Parts of it weren’t completely for me, but not a bad story.

Eh

I was honestly not the biggest fan of this book. I found my mind wandering multiple times and I really did not enjoy the romance scenes. It felt really forced and stiff when I was reading them. While the storyline wasn’t awful I wouldn’t recommend it really.
