He’s big. He’s bad. And he only wants one thing. Revenge. Ric Ryker spent years being called “Big Dick.” Ridiculed for his weight, shunned by all the pretty girls, snubbed by all the cool guys. But after a secret journey of transformation, he’s back—ready to take over leadership from his father at Ryker Arms—with an impressive new physique and a plan to prove them all wrong. Especially her. The one woman who hurt him the most. Annalesa—sweet, smart, stunning. And his stepsister. The girl he could never have. The girl who wouldn’t look twice at him anyway—especially in front of her stuck-up friends. Now he’s going to make her want him. Show her just what she was missing. And hurt her, just like she hurt him. He’s got the weapon and he’s taken aim—but he didn’t count on his own heart getting caught in the crossfire.

Her story, Connections, was one of the runners-up for the 2006 Rauxa Prize, given annually to an erotic short story of “exceptional literary quality.”
On one hand they are step siblings and on another not really related by blood. The is a lot of hurt in his background and she is the one he blames the most. He has deep feelings for her but revenge in mind too. Which one do you do and how do you mend all the hurt. It is exciting, emotional, heartbreaking, dramatic, hot and so much more. I received a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
I loved the suspense of the plot. The step sibling taboo element was way exaggerated in my opinion. The sex scenes were ok, but very one sided. He didn't please her with his mouth even once. That's grounds for me to end a relationship personally, so not too interested in not reading it when it should be an expected part of a relationship.
I really loved some of Selena Kitt’s other works but this one was just OK. The plot was not strong and I really didn’t feel anything for any of the characters.
I couple years ago I read my first story by this author, Step Beast, and was pleasantly surprised. I’ve read some of her other work through the years and found that I enjoy most of her stories. There have been a few misses, but a lot of hits. A lot of her stories are short erotica, and I don’t generally write reviews on short erotica on the blog, though. As I found Step Beast to be well written with a great storyline, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to read another full length step-sibling story from this author.
This story has another great concept from Selena Kitt. (BTW, this is a re-release of a story she wrote under the name Emme Rollins a few years ago.) There were times I had a pit in my stomach from the things Ric had Annalesa do to “prove” herself to him. It reminded me of the movie Heathers a bit. You know certain people are not necessarily good people, but is it okay to sink to their level and be mean to them?
Sometimes, I felt the chemistry between Rick and Annalesa strongly. Other times, it was more of a trickle. It was definitely there, but didn’t seem consistent to me. That didn’t take away from the story for me though since there were other things happening over and above the love story.
The last few chapters of this story were great and really had me turning the pages as fast as I could. Wonderful suspense and action which led to total excitement. I could see the whole thing playing out in my mind like a movie.
This author is a whiz at writing step-sibling romance that doesn’t make the love story feel gratuitous or icky. Both stories I’ve read from her in this specific genre have been very touching stories with wonderful characters.

suspense, action, drama, emotional breakthroughs, steamy love scenes, forbidden love, and precious stolen moments
Finally, a full novel. I was really starting to miss reading a story that is long enough to make me feel like I actually have something invested in it. I only gave it four stars because well into the story, it seemed to lag for a while, instead of smoothly flowing.
Big Dick has everything one could ask for to make it a memorable tale. It has suspense, action, drama, emotional breakthroughs, steamy love scenes, forbidden love, and precious stolen moments.
Everything from being bullied as a teenager to becoming a confident, happy man was worked through in Ricard’s epic transformation. Kitt very thoroughly related the depth of damage that ensues from traumatic events. In reality, we don’t often get to explain the reasoning behind our decisions and actions, if we even realize them ourselves.
It feels really good to work through such a detailed and developed story with these characters. Kind of gives me a sense of satisfaction and closure for this wonderful story.
Ric and Annalesa (Lesa) are step brother and step sister. There has been a four year separation after their parents divorced. She moved back to England and he went with his father. Now they are back together and Big Dick is unrecognizable. He's still as large as he was before, but now he is not overweight and someone to be made fun of. He's a Greek God now. There is a bit of a taboo being step siblings, but there is an undeniable connection between the two. There is murder, suspense, high tech espionage, hot sex and everything needed to keep a reader interested. Ric has trust issues because of his upbringing during his teenager and younger years. He puts Lesa through some tests and they go over the line. How many times does she have to prove herself to Ric. There is a lot of history in the story as well which is very enjoyable. Definitely twists and turns and a page turner for sure. I recommend this book!

Annalesa has been close to her step brother Rik for as long as she can remember. She grows apart from him during her high school days since he's older than her. She tries to fit in at school by dating the football star and hanging with the popular girls. What she doesn't realize is how cruel they can be. Rik sees how they treat her and comes to her defense. But since Rik was never one of the popular kids himself, they talk behind his back and sometimes to his face about his weight. When their parents decide to divorce, Leesa and Rik loose touch. Several years later they are reunited and Rik has become like a new person. There are a lot of twists and turns in this book. Leesa and Rik have to trust each other. That's not easy for either of them. Leesa was in love (or on the way to being) with Rik before he went away. She didn't care about his appearance. Just how he treated her but Rik can't seem to believe her. I wanted to throttle him at times and yell at Leesa for being so trusting.
This really was an amazing book by Selena Kitt. Ric and Annalesa were step-siblings. Because of his size and weight, Ric was ridiculed his whole by classmates and Leesa's stuck up friends and given the nickname "Big Dick". After their parents divorced, Ric and Leesa are separated. Ric has cut off all communication with Leesa. When they reunite at their college graduations, Leesa cannot believe Ric's drastic transformation. He is gorgeous. Things have definitely changed. Can trust issues, misunderstandings and insecurities keep them Ric and Leesa apart? This book has it all- steam, drama, espionage, revenge and forbidden love. If you are looking for a book that will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next, this is definitely for you. Annalesa has had feelings for her step-brother for years. He thinks she is as petty and spiteful as her friends and doesn't believe her. Now years later they run into each other not step siblings any longer and sparks fly between them. Rik wants to make sure she is as committed to him as he is to her so he tests her to see if she'll follow through. Annalesa is getting sick of everything he is putting her through and confront him and finds out that he has been keeping a secret from her. Will his secret tear them apart?
This is a great story that will have you on the edge of your seat from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Annalesa thinks that she just lost her whole family in a plane crash until Ric her stepbrother comes home. Annalesa tried telling him on how she felt about him and he just ends up walking away from her. Annalesa's mother Elsa and stepfather Brad made it home just fine but announced that they where getting a divorced. It broke Annalesas heart that she would be moving away with her mother Elsa. Annalesa tired emailing Ric but the messages were never answered. Annalesa went back to her child hood home to have hers and Rics graduation party. Annalesa didn't recognized Ric at all. Ric transformed himself. He was no longer the tall fat kid that everybody recognized. Ric was all muscles and tattoos. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed this story about Ric and Leesa. Ric had been her unofficial protector since her mom married his dad. Her friends teased him because he was big but she never stood up to them. When a freak accident almost kills them, their parents divorced but still remain friends. Since both are graduating their parents are throwing a party. Leesa and Ric haven't spoken much do she's dumbfounded when settinyg him again in his new body, down 120#. The story is about them learning to around each other again. The chemistry is there but is taboo. Learning to trust each other in every way possible to the point their lives depends on it. When push comes to shove thses step sibling's have each other's backs.

He wanted payback for the abuse or neglect he felt growing up. He got it, but then he discovered there was more to be had.
This is a step-sibling romance story, with sort of a second chance theme going on. They weren't a couple in the past, but in the present things are very different. There is a lot going on in this book, both with the relationship and the background plot. The pace is a little uneven, with it dragging a bit in the middle but with a fast paced, page-turner ending.
Overall, though, the story is well written and the characters are well developed. I am not big on the revenge type plots, which is essentially what this started out as, but once the step-brother got over it, things moved along nicely. Overall, it was not my favorite book by the author, but I did enjoy it.
Recommended.

This is an amazing book. It completely blew me away. There are so many twists and turns I found myself skimming through to find out what’s next. One of the things that stuck out most is that first impressions sometimes are correct. Most of all is that being vengeful over childhood misunderstandings can hurt those you love the most and might not end the way Ric and Leesa’s did. I also, noticed that this forbidden love is not the only one that has occurred, which makes this book even more enjoyable. I must say that as Ricard and Annalesa was about to come clean Anders true nature came to the front with a bang. Through it all they persevered and their bond strengthen.

This is the first book I've read by this author. I was expecting a book that was more racier, steamier, had more grit. Instead, it was a book that has a slow plot, very PG-13 bedroom scenes (that were fast and few between), and an of plot. Step-siblings that have to hide their feelings for each other; Ric, the brother, hell-bent on making Leesa (the sister) prove how much she loves him, is loyal to him, over and over again. It's painful. The only real action is near the end when the parents are attacked. Maybe I was just expecting too much. I just felt strung along like the female characters, but I wasn't in love with the male lead so I got nothing out of it. Figures.

A fantastic story filled with suspense and action that tests the boundaries of love.
The once fat boy who was laughed at and ridiculed is now big, bad and mean and has vengeance on his mind......every one that was mean or belittled him will regret everything they've said or done....especially her....the only woman he loves.....his step sister. . But Annalesa isnt who he thought she was.......she never saw the fat boy but the man hiding inside... a man that she has always loved. But Ryker cant let go of the hurt and pain and puts Annalesa through test after test to prove her loyalty and love.....that could have her hating him and walking away....finally shattering the last pieces of his heart.

This story is a slow build. If you're in it for a quick and steamy plot, this is not it. It's a mini "taboo" (stepbrother who is no longer a stepbrother) romance. Kitt gets the art of balancing romance, sexy, and erotica down to a T. One mistake in the book is comparing Ric to the Norse God, Vulcan, the God of the Forge. There is no such Norse God. Vulcan is the ROMAN God of the forge and volcanoes. As an English major and mythology buff, I get picky about this. I don't know if the published copy has edited this error but my advanced copy had this mistake and it bugged me.

Ric Ryker is so focus in getting revenge on those who hurt him when he was a teenager...being overweight and constantly bullied. He blamed his stepsister for most of it since he kind of had a crush on her, he cut ties with everyone after his dad and stepmom got a divorced and transformed himself.
When Analeesa saw him again 4 years later she did not recognized him, but knew that she always was in love with him...something that he kept testing over and over
Ric clearly has trust issues and Analeesa is not good at confrontations...both discover this and try to move on when tragedy stikes at the least expected time.
Exceptional! This is one wild ride! An extremely entertaining, well written, captivating and interesting sexy read. So much happened in this book; there is excitement, nefarious plots, murder, amazing dialogue, witty banter, humour, and betrayal to look forward to. The characters are strong and amazing and engaged in a taboo relationship. Their chemistry is potent and sizzling hot; the sex scenes are off the charts and will melt your kindle. This is an absolutely amazing book that I strongly recommend reading.

This starts off feeling a little disjointed but settles after the first few chapters and having now finished it I can see how it all fits together. It's quite an intense read that at times isn't comfortable at all. There's a lot of hurt and a lot of healing and I don't know if I'd be as forgiving as these two. This book is no mindless little bit of fluff to escape into - I'm still feeling a little shell shocked - however if you're after something a bit more gritty and manipulative that you can sink your teeth into and would enjoy the honesty of some really steamy scenes, this would be a great choice.

I've read several of Selena Kitt's books so when I got this one, I immediately thought I was getting one of her short erotica books. NOT!! This one was a genuine surprise I was glad to find. It had a true storyline with a plot running through it, depth to the characters and sub-characters, and plethora insecurities and emotions. Not to mention the forbidden pull of sexual chemistry and love between step-siblings. There's body shaming, abuse, corporate espionage, murder, and so much more. Selena Kitt has given 'Big Dick' a true novel feel to it that kept me immersed until the very end.
Annalesa never stopped loving Ric even after he rejected and ghosted her after their parents split up. Now four years after she made her feelings clear to him and him misunderstanding her actions, they meet again. This story was more than the leading title suggests. This romance took place amidst intrigue, suspense and murder. Intricately woven, all the while developing the relationship between the main couple in a serious way. Well written and well done.

Ric and Annalesa grew up as step siblings and even though they started to fall for each other Ric couldn’t believe her because of his low self esteem and weight. Years went by without seeing each other while Ric lost weight and toned his muscles and when finally reunited their love still burned. Now they just have to find out who is trying to sabotage their family business and survive so they can be together in the open.

Boy did I feel there was alot to this story so much revenge hate and secrets. Ric finds that the people who he trusted were not the ones he should have put his trust in ,and those he made work for it were the ones that stuck by him till the end. Annalesa seemed so gullible and nieve to things happening around her too much second guessing herself. Story was in-depth and you were not left guessing what was going to happen.
Big Dick by Selena Kitt was a fantastic book. The story line does have an HEA but there are twists and turns in the story that I didn’t expect. I could not put the book down until I had finished it. Then I didn’t want it to be over. Ms. Kitt did a good job of wrapping things up in the epilogue. Do your self a favor and read this book!!

I really enjoy reading this book. Chapter after chapter the author know how to keep you on each page you turn. You wonder what is going to be next. I think someone had a problem to trust...and the other will do anything to prove her love. At you to figure out who they are by reading this captivated book. I received a ARC copy of this book in return of my honest review.

Leesa and Ric grew up as step siblings. They both loved each other, but never said. Leesa tried to be part of the popular group. Ric was picked on behind her back as he was overweight. Their parent plane goes down and they survive, but divorce. Ric goes to Norway to run Ryker Arms. He buffs up and returns for revenge on those who hurt him. Especially Leesa. But then they both reveal their true feeling to the other. Ending was ok...a little odd and not what I wanted.
Now I’ve read several books belonging to Selena but I honestly don’t know what was going on with this book. Don’t get me wrong, not every book of hers needs to be down and dirty but this one was just all over the place. The continents and timelines were confusing and off. The relationships just didn’t make sense and the villain just didn’t work for someone who worked for a legitimate arms maker/security provider. Would not recommend
This book was one of the best books I've ever read. It had everything that makes a good romance and it was also a thriller. I had an instant connection with both Ric and Annalesa. I laughed and cried with this book. The book teaser is two people died and were reborn. I highly recommend this book. I enjoyed this book. It is a slow burn romance filled with angst, twists and lots of emotional turmoil. I liked Ric and Annalesa and I thought that their chemistry was smoky. I will say that the taboo level of this read was low to medium and so was the heat level. I would be lying if I said that this was a bit of a disappointment to me. This is my honest, voluntary review.
Just Wow!!! I really enjoyed this book. The step brother and step sister hooked me. My mother and stepfather were that to each other, so this story really held my interest!! Great Characters and wonderful world building. Selena Kitt continues to amaze me!
