DEVIL'S DISCIPLES BOX SET : MOTORCYCLE CLUB ROMANCE by Scott Hildreth is an amazing series that is set apart from other MC works. Scott does it with a style that makes the characters come to life. You are missing out on brilliance if you do not grab the box set as Scott knows how to write like no other.
Baker (Devil's Disciples MC #1) is like one smooth ride. This is my first read of Scott’s work and I must say I am an instant fan. The characters are well developed and the writing is very vivid that you can imagine being right there with them. I found myself laughing out loud at the antics of these men and the women they encounter. I fell in love with most of the characters but had a hard time with Cash, I hope when his book comes there is a lot more to him than meets the eye. If I ever needed help these guys would be the ones to call on. I mean, who does not like sexy bad boy bikers? What I also love is that the romance is written by a male.
Baker, the leader of the Devil’s and is a man who is happy with his life as a biker with his brothers and does not desire to change. But when one sassy woman moves in next door his life just became more complicated.
This is not your typical biker story but that doesn’t mean it isn’t well worth the read because let me tell you it most certainly is.
Cash (Devil's Disciples MC #2) is another great story in this series. I must admit that Cash did not a lot for me in the first book, Baker, but he certainly redeemed himself in this book. The characters are men who look out for each other and are right the wrongs that they see affecting others. They are not perfect and are most definitely flawed by their pasts. Once again I found myself laughing out loud and often tears running down my face. One of the characters Jennifer is absolutely insane but you cannot help but love her. Scott’s writing is once again spot on and he is very talented with his words.
Cash is often overlooked in the brains department but is loyal to a fault and not afraid to say his peace. He is also the brawn in the club and is not afraid to use it. He is a sworn bachelor and no woman can make him change his mind or can they?
Grab a copy of the book, grab a drink and prepare for one good ride.
Ghost (Devil's Disciples MC #3) is wow, just wow. It is the book of all books. It is the pinnacle of stories. It is the story of a lifetime. It is holey moley. Scott, Scottie, Scot-tie what can I say, it is one emotional rollercoaster ride and I must say that I was not in a million years prepared for the ending. OMG, did not see that coming. If you have not guessed it yet, I am here to tell you this is the book of the series. I loved these characters who had me laughing and crying all the way through and absolutely balling as I got closer to the ending. I am still thinking about the book after finishing almost a week ago.
Ghost has had so much happen in his life that it has left a little cynical in the belief realm. When he meets Abby his life will be forever changed. I cannot tell you anything more about the story as it is one that you need to fully experience for yourself.
This one will require a good stiff drink, a cigarette or two, possibly a cold shower, definitely alone time and a box of tissues. Let me just say that this is a masterpiece that should not be missed by anyone and I mean ANYONE!
If Scott is not on the bestseller list with this one, he should be...................
Goose (Devil's Disciples MC #4) is another story of these great Alpha guys in the MC club and mixed in with another MC to add a little bit more spice to life. I love Scott’s work, and no one writes a MC story like he does. He is a brilliant wordsmith and it is through his vision of the world and characters that you feel like you are just as much a part of it as them. These guys are tough, and no nonsense and they love there one and done women but to watch them trying so hard not to fall in love is fun. I love that they are family and are written with humanity and humour that just makes you crack up
We saw the death of Ghost and it has hit them all hard but non harder than Goose, but he did get to meet Ally, the woman who became friends with Ghost. Goose loves plants and loves things in order and Ally is not order. She makes him look at things differently, but she may just be what he needs, and she may have something the club needs as well.
I loved Ally she is sassy and a no-nonsense kind of gal. She is also hiding a big secret and she hates to tell lies. Meeting Goose has made her determined to make him hers, but she will not be pushed around. The Devil's Disciples soon find out this tiny woman is the answer to their problems and are awed with what she can teach them.
Another brilliant story from Scott.
Reno (Devil's Disciples MC #5) is a good old fashioned back to the basics of a MC club story. In this one we get to meet more of the members of different clubs and their women. Scott is the master when it comes to MC stories and they are easily imagined through his words. Ghost is my favourite of the series but Reno is right up there. This story had your heart pumping and lots of laughing as we deal with drug cartels, crooked cops, deportation and disposing of bodies. But let's not forget the bike runs, hot alpha men and the women who make them better.
Camo is hiding from the one man who destroyed her life and has the power to do whatever he wants. She is smart and fun and won’t take sh*t from anyone, except for the men who want to kidnap her and take her back to a life of horror.
When unsuspecting MC members come into her place of work she proves Reno is faced with walking away or helping the beauty out of a bad situation. Never one to walk away from helping someone he has now painted a mark on his back and those around him with one of the deadliest men in the world.
The question is can they both overcome their past and find a future together.
OMG this one had me in fits of laughter, especially the shower scene. Brilliant writing Scott brilliant.
