This is a beautifully designed Bible with a great layout. It includes two programs that can be explored at the pace you set or used on a weekly basis, over the course of a year. There are also lots of notes and articles to help take your learning and understanding even further.

This is a beautiful Bible has a great font and layout, which makes it easy to read! You can do one of two programs to read the Bible on a weekly basis over a course of one year. This Bible is very practical for new and experienced readers, as it gives lots of commentary. This is a NLT translation of the Bible. This Bible is full of practical life applications!

There are so many features I love in this Bible. One of my favorites is the Fresh Start Journey at the front, which tackles 52 vital questions about the foundations of our Christian faith. It’s great for new believers, and for equipping seasoned believers to share their faith more easily. Do you want answers to some of life’s toughest questions? This is the section for you!
As someone who loves to study and understand God’s Word, I also utilize the Intersections for making connections and find it helpful when I’m teaching. They provide real and relevant wisdom from some of today’s key leaders, including Pastors Robert Morris, Jimmy Evans, and Jack Hayford.

The Fresh Start Bible is a wonderful resource for anyone, especially a new Christian! This Bible is a double column, black letter Bible. It is offered in softcover, hardcover, imitation leather, and genuine leather. The Fresh Start Bible is in the easy to understand NLT translation, and it would be a valuable resource to use in a small group. It has a 52 lesson program called the "Fresh Start Journey", that teaches about the basics of the Christian faith. There are also a leader's guide for small groups, and 3 four part studies (Worship Way, Freedom Path, and Bible Reading Breakthrough). My personal favorite part of this Bible is the Intersections and Road Signs, which are a variety of discipleship articles and articles about the people in the Bible.
Along with all of these resources, the Fresh Start Bible also includes introductions to each book of the Bible, and various visual aids. There is a one year Bible reading plan, a table of weights and measures, and maps. There is even a list of famous Bible passages, listed by topic. This is a Bible that one could spend hours, days, and years enjoying and learning from! It is the perfect Bible for anyone seeking to find answers and clarify to foundational faith questions.

Fresh Start (NLT) Softcover Review: Fresh Start Bible includes over five hundred articles written by various people. The writers include members of Gateway Church, a “non-denominational, Bible-based, evangelistic, Spirit-empowered” megachurch in Texas. Many of the devotions and articles are written by Gateway’s pastors: Robert Morris, Jimmy Evans, and Jack Hayford.
Gateway Church has its own publishing house, Gateway Press, which is the publisher for this Bible.
The copy I received was the soft cover edition with a nice gray linen look. I like that it weighs just under two pounds. However, the softcover bends easily and tends to curl up after reading only a few times. A Bible cover should help with that.
I like the textual footnotes included throughout the Bible. One helpful resource that was missing was a concordance in the back—for Biblical topics and for the articles.
Based on the Biblical text, it will be helpful to anyone, especially new believers. I've not read all 500 articles yet but most of the ones I've read are helpful and contain solid, spiritual meat. Some readers may want to know that a few of the articles line up more with charismatic congregations than with other Christian denominations.

The Fresh Start Bible is JAM-PACKED with so much more than one can expect in a study Bible! The content was so carefully and considerately laid out.
With many aspects of being able to dig deeper into the Word with tools that include two in-depth programs that can each be explored at your own pace or used weekly over the course of a year. This Bible also includes several shorter studies and hundreds of helpful notes and articles.
This Bible starts out with answering, WITH Scripture, most of the hard questions that both non-believers and believers have. The foundation and ground work are being set.
One of the main features that I'm excited to get to is are the Leadership Guide that helps in leading small group with the studies in the Fresh Start Bible!
I found it very out of the ordinary for Jesus' words to be in blue, as opposed to the traditional red, but it's a nice complement to the layout.
Overall, I know that the Fresh Start Bible will be a great addition to other Bibles that I use and a favorite Bible to gift to others that are looking to have questions answered, to deepen their understanding of the Word, and host or lead a Bible study.

As I continue to use this new Bible from Gateway Press, I find myself with an increased interest in studying God'S Word and very eager to dig deeper into His Teachings. This Fresh Start Bible has many wonderful features, including the questions in the Fresh Start Journey that cause me to reflect on my prior beliefs as they encourage me to search for further answers. I am especially thrilled with the Charts, Tables, and Maps; the Road Signs that light my way; and the Note section that offers me a place to jot down my thoughts. Each of the 66 books has an introduction by a noted contributor and there is also a One-Year Reading Plan.
This New Living Translation is appropriate for everyone---from new believers to mature Christians. I am excited to use it and it truly is a Fresh Start Bible!

The Fresh Start Bible from Gateway Press is a wonderful new Bible that is readable, practical, and applicable. It provides readers with hundreds of articles that address historical context and ways to apply Scripture to daily life. Sprinkled with articles by various authors, this Bible does an excellent job of addressing current spiritual discussions. The beginning of the Bible provides readers with an overview of living the Christian life and answers questions that are often asked by believers. The answers are backed by Scripture and provide some solid basis and references for readers and leaders in small group ministry settings. This Bible is friendly for all age levels and is an excellent addition to any library.

The Fresh Start Bible is the Bible I've wanted for almost 50 years, but never knew it until now. It's a fantastic resource for the Bible itself because it's in my favorite translation (New Living Translation). Then it adds sermon and lecture notes from my favorite pastors and teachers at Gateway Church and The King's University. Wow! What a blessing it has been to read the Bible with rich resources on almost every page that augment my understanding of scripture. When it comes to reading the Bible, I enjoy being able to make connections of other Scripture or events as I study the Word. Sometimes, depending on the version, I have to take extra time to really understand what I am reading. With Fresh Start Bible, I was able to read through Scripture and understand what I was reading. It was easy to make notes, references, and personal thoughts of what I had read from either the verses or the devotionals that were among the pages. This is a great study Bible for anyone who wants to dig deep into the Word or does not know where to start as a new believer.

I have the linen cover Bible which comes in a nice glossy jacket upon shipment. The beginning of the Bible has a great list of new believer questions that would be a good discipling tool. At the back of the Bible are some short studies that walk through key points that new believers should understand regarding worship, freedom in Christ and the importance of the Word of God. This Bible would make a great gift for a new Christian or someone who is searching for answers at the basic level.

The Fresh Start Bible is a new Bible that features the New Living Translation. It is published by Gateway Publishing. I enjoyed how they put together this Bible with all of the articles, questions to encourage further study, Bible reading plans, etc. I would recommend this Bible to any new believer who is looking to begin to study the Bible in an easy to understand language. This Bible will also make a great addition to the library of people who love the NLT version.

I'm excited about this new Bible and plan to give it as a gift to family members and friends--especially those who have many questions about Christianity. The readings begin with "The Fresh Start Journey," a series of 52 short lessons that cover the basics of Christianity. The actual Bible text is interspersed with "Road Signs," brief practical teachings from key communicators. What an excellent resource!

I really think this is going to be one of my favorite bibles! I'm big on knowing who you are in Jesus Christ and discipleship. And in going over the digital copy you guys have printed a the bible I have been looking for. So many studies and extra information for learning. And I've never read an NLT bible before. All I can say is wow! The mix of translation, interpretation, and making it more reader friendly! Just awesome!!!

I have the digital copy and am waiting on the printed version to arrive; but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this bible! The commentaries help me have a deeper understand of what the scripture is saying and what God is speaking to me! My time with the Lord has been enriched. This is a great bible to study and it has a devotional/ study group in it as well!!!

After reading a few articles and chapters this will definitely be the perfect start/refresher Bible for anyone! I especially like the discipleship articles. The Fresh Start Edition is an updated version of the NLT Bible. It is very insightful and full of fresh help and reminders in terms of discipleship and servanthood and serves as a great translation for both those with new found faith as well as those who need a new refreshment of the significance of their faith.

It has been my privilege to be on the launch team for the Fresh Start Bible. I've been reading the digital copy, and I really enjoy it. Obviously, nothing can be added to God's Word. But the articles and answered questions are super helpful in providing fresh insight and new ways to see how Scripture can apply to my life. I can't wait to get a physical copy!

After perusing some of the commentary, articles, and Bible itself, I think this will be a great Bible for anyone, be they "Fresh starter" or "Seasoned Disciple." Some really good articles on faith and discipleship in this gem.

This bible is full of treasures! It not only gives me the word, but provides so much extra insight. It also provides advice on how to deal with real life situations concerning the word. There is a limitless supply of treasure hunting with in depth further elaboration of what I read. It is very well presented.

Unique, new way to learn, grow and disciple both yourself and others! This Bible is jam packed with articles and other helps that gives the reader many opportunities for further study, which I appreciate.

The variety of discipleship articles make the fresh start bible very interesting to read, and it also answers a lot of questions you may have.
