Aurora Rose Reynolds + PNR Romance (aka Vampires *heart eyes*) = PERFECTION!

Seriously this book... Mind Blown! These two completely stole my heart and proved once again what a brilliant story teller Ms. Reynolds is. It was utterly PERFECT! And the most spectacular and enticing of first installments, because now I need the rest of this PNR series!!! <3 <3 <3 <3< 3

Ok. Sue me, I tried it because it’s on KU but I wish I hadn’t!
<= this bother me a lot. Because I don’t believe in it. I felt like heroine was second best. These are my feelings though.

Edited:
I probably would have believed a tiny bit if hero is also an incarnation of his past life but he wasn’t. The only one incarnation here was the heroine’s. She got to experience in visions his love for her past soul. Which put me off real quick. She went along with everything that he said! Such doormat little character. She was also a virgin while he did have sex with his betrothed hundreds years ago!

There was potential for a really great story. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. But don't be discouraged if you want to give this a try. I think there is potential for a good PRN series.

SPOILERS ahead.

I honestly don't know where to begin so I might jump around a lot.

While reading this story, the set up was oddly similar to a book I've read and I can't put my finger on the title at the moment. But as the story ties up, the other part of this series arc reminded me of Kristen Ashley's PRN series I read recently.

Okay, so there are so many problems with this one. Let's talk about the beginning. I was lost from the first paragraph as it felt like I was dropped into the middle of a conversation without context of what it was about. This isn't actually what happens. However, a woman shows up somewhere and we aren't given any reasons why she's there until after what should have been an important moment between her and her intended guy. Thus, this moment goes by and I feel nothing as I'm not yet connected to the story. I think a good editor could have rearranged the beginning so that there is context to the story. But for me, the timing ruined any further connection to the characters to care enough about what happens next.

The next biggest problem is this reads like an abridged version of the story where important details are left out. The transitions between chapters are such that things happen off page that are important world building details. Every new chapter I was left wondering if I missed something. And I get this is a novella, but it goes beyond a short story problems. The pacing of the story was just off. This is plain and simple, bad editing/story telling.

Then there is insta love. Yes, in PRN if done right, I'm not bothered by "fated" souls. However, in this case, one chapter they dislike each other. The next they are madly in love again without context. I didn't know this was a PRN story (I don't read blurbs generally) until a chapter or so later.

Then there was a third POV inserted in the book. And because there wasn't a chapter header and the narrator didn't change his voice at all, I didn't know we were in a different minor character's POV until it was almost over.

For me, this is a miss. I love PNR and the promise of the series sounds interesting. But the way this story was written, and a first time listener of this author, I'm reluctant to move forward.

It felt like a good start to a book. I wanted a bit more than what you get in the audiobook. I also struggled with the female narrator. Her male voice was a bit cringe worthy. I will do a re-read when the ebook gets published. I predict I’ll enjoy that more.

I was super excited for a paranormal romance from ARR. While it didn’t live up to my expectations, I did enjoy my time reading it.

I think what would have made this one better for me was if it was longer. We didn’t really get a lot of backstory on the vampire species here and it was written in a way that the reader just had to guess.

I did enjoy the couple here but that’s nothing new. I always like ARR’s couples, especially the alpha males she writes. The sex scenes were a bit fade to black and I was a little disappointed but it was still sexy.

To make this short, I did enjoy it but would have loved it if it was a longer book.

Ssoo I went into it blind, since it's a super short quickie. I really didn't for a moment think it would be a PNR. And since it's not something I have any experience with reading, I'm not sure how to go about rating it. But anyways, I generally think that the idea is there but the execution is sort of all over the place, maybe if the book was longer it would have been done much better. But it still made me curious and I'm definitely going to be reading more PNR in the future.

I had high hopes for this one but I think because it was so short it didn't get the attention it needed with this story. It felt like because the story was shorter a lot of the books storylines were just dropped in our laps the longer we read instead of getting explanations were are just told things. Not bad but I wish the book had been longer. The main story gave me Kristen Ashley The Three vibes, not saying I think she copied it at all but it does remind me with some aspects. An ok read and I'm interested to see what happens with he next two book but I was hoping for more.

***Read Me Romance podcast***

The PNR story had potential, and I did like the direction it was going. However, like another reviewer said, too much information about the characters are missing. No real backstory. The ending came up too fast and all we know is Cameron and Isobel have a HFN. There's more to this story that we don't get to see....

This one was weird for me, I pretty much only finished it because it was short. Too much insta everything, not enough back story, very bare bones get to business story. I also feel like I've read the premise before in other books. I know there are a couple more of these coming out, but I'm thinking I'll skip them.

I don't read a lot of PNR and I think, overall, it's fairly tough to build a world in a novella like this BUT I did enjoy this one quite a bit. It's my first time reading Aurora Rose Reynolds, but it's likely not to be my last. I'm intrigued by the concept of reuniting reincarnated soul mates and I think I need to know what happens for the next two couples.

Oh this was GREAT fun and sexiness!! I have other Aurora Rose Reynolds books; however, I have never read one. After this one I feel the need to binge read the series of books that I already have. In this story you are introduced to a couple that has a deep connection that is mysterious until things are revealed. Isobel arrives at a castle for a job after a bad break up; however, when she meets Camron there is something instant between the two of them. We learn that Camron is a vampire and Isobel is a human which causes some complications. Let's just say that this is a teaser look into what's to come since the story left us on a cliffhanger, surprisingly the first one from the podcast.

This specific video review will be included in the April 2019 wrap-up.

Usually i love anything by Aurora, and i mean I've read all her books, but this was a rather interesting read. Maybe if it was a full and longer read of explanations, actions and plot I'd feel different about it.

She did it, one of my fave ever authors has written a paranormal and I couldnt be happier!

That first encounter! Pass me a fan! In fact, all their encounters! 'She tastes like the sun and the moon. Like worlds colliding.'

It was a good, short read, it seemed so familiar, Cameron is just so hot and well, vampirey (!) Isabel did irk me slightly with her attitude towards Angus but you see why!

But that epilogue! Next installment please!

Ugh, this story didn't flow very well at all, it felt so choppy that a bunch of info was missing. It doesn't matter that this is novella length. I also understand that this is the first time Aurora delved into Paranormal. Sadly, this didn't one didn't work out for me.

Sexy Scottish Vampire - yes, please!
Story was swoony & sexy & I enjoyed it. That said I did struggle a little with the female narration of the male characters with Scottish accents, throwing me out of the story. Now, as for the male narrator...(insert thigh clench here!)

❤~🌟5 DARKLY ALLURING STARS! ❤~🌟

TRAPPING HER by New York Times Bestselling Author Aurora Rose Reynolds, narrated by Tanya Eby & Richard Sawyer, is by far my favorite audio in the Read Me Romance podcast!

Lushly romantic, darkly intoxicating, and oh so spellbinding, the eternal love story about the rich, regal and rakishly broody Scottish Vampire Camron Campbell, who is passionately reunited with his reincarnated lost love Isabel Newport after pining for her for hundreds of years, completely ENTRANCED me! TRAPPING HER is hauntingly beautiful, Scorching hot. Rapturously sexy. Electrifying. Potently emotional. And so wildly addictive it left me breathless!

I have been a huge fan of ARR for a long time but I must say her first foray into the PNR genre BLEW ME AWAY! The soul deep, tender-hearted bond and blistering chemistry between Camron and his beloved mate was beyond MESMERIZING. Their wicked, all consuming cravings for one another simply COULD NOT BE CONTAINED, and I was aching right along with them when they surrendered to their true destiny. You can’t help but be hypnotically drawn into the majestic, mythological world that they inhabit, which serves as a sumptuous backdrop for this bewitching tale. And I am totally pumped by the notion that this short novella sets the stage for future installments in this darkly alluring series!!!!

These are new to me narrators but they both knocked it out of the park! Tanya Eby embodied Isabel’s sweetness, spunk and aching vulnerability to a T (and her Scottish accent when in the hero’s character was awesome!). And HOLY EFFIN SWOON, Richard’s Sawyer shiver-inducing Scottish brogue and take charge alpha depiction of the roguishly seductive vampire Camron Campbell left me all aquiver!

BOTTOM LINE:
TRAPPING HER is a resplendently penned novella that electrifies the senses, inflames the heart and soul, and has me secretly yearning to bare my neck to be the recipient of a certain magnetically sexy bloodsucker’s ravenous desires ! !

A MUST LISTEN!!!

I love reading PNR books but I'm very picky when it comes to this genre. I was therefore very intrigued when one of my top favorite authors - Aurora Rose Reynolds - announced that she is writing a novella about vampires for the Read Me Romance podcast. I'm a sucker for a love story that transcends time and place and a possessive and protective hero who would do everything for the mistress of his heart. Although this was a short read it had everything I'm craving for as an avid romance reader. If you're looking for an entertaining story full of emotions and sexiness as well as interesting characters than you need to pick up Trapping Her. I promise you won't be disappointed! I sincerely hope that Aurora will give two specific secondary characters who have absolutely bewitched me an own story. I would be definitely up for it! 5 bloody stars for this gem.

Wow, just wow. I don’t really know what to say….ok, actually I do...will there be a next book? Please, please say yes. If so, when’s the next book coming out? Next book please, please...ain’t to proud to beg....just sayin. This was Aurora Rose Reynolds first paranormal book and she freaking rocked it….like, Rocked. It.

Isabel aka little one, is at Cameron’s castle for work....yes, work *wags eyebrows*. These two are just sensually sexy aka sexy af, their chemistry is off the charts and just so sensual to read. Cameron is absolutely swoon worthy, straight forward, attentive and fiercely protective. Loved it, and I mean everything about it. The storyline, the characters, absolutely everything. Oh, and a special shout out for the reference to her Until series….awesome *sing songy voice*.

This book was so sexy, with a ton of baby batter, a virgin, an epilogue and an hea. Gotta love soulmates finding each other again and testing time, the truest love *sighs*. Seriously though...next book??!!! I know, I know subtle like a damn Mack truck, it was just so good. Big fan and her books are like crack….just sayin...and you are welcome.

Trapping Her by Aurora Rose Reynolds is a deliciously tempting paranormal romance read that will have you craving more ASAP!! Ms. Reynolds proves she can not only write contemporary romance, she can write ANYTHING!!! This is a new paranormal romance series that will seduced- the hero is a vampire named Camron (with a delicious Scottish brogue) and the heroine is Isabel who is from America. They have this instant connection, this instant chemistry. If you love PNR reads then you will not go wrong with Aurora Rose Reynolds newest's series. I enjoyed Camron and Isabel- their journey together towards their HEA. It's full of feels, suspense, some angst, twists , forbidden love, passion, heat, insta-love, rollercoaster ride of emotions, and romance.
Did they end up together? Only way to know is to read this exciting new book!!

I tend to get a little nervous when beloved authors decide to try a new genre. But I love ARR and I really love paranormal so this should be a win win--right? It was not a good mix for me. It is novella length and so maybe that is where the story got off track? It was just not a well rounded story. The whole thing felt rushed.

There are some great elements. The world building peaked my interest. The author's take on the fated mates and the rules of the vampire world was unique. All that was good. There just wasn't enough of the character development to keep me vested in the outcome. The story jumped around quite a bit from scene to scene. It need MORE.

This author can write so I am not discouraged by this outing. If the series continues, I think she would be better served to do full length novels.

It's not a secret that I'm a huge Aurora Rose Reynolds fan. In my eyes she's one of the best authors in this industry and an automatic one-click author for me. When I read that she was going to write her first PNR book, I was over the moon excited. And let me tell you she did a great job with it! Trapping Her was a sexy, sweet, delicious read that left me begging for more. ARR can obviously not only write about irresistible human alphas, but also about hot vampires and wervolves too. I sincerely hope that Aurora will write another book in this genre in the future.
