No this is a really good book. I enjoyed it the whole time. Going In I new that it would be about DFS as a whole but I would have liked a little more in the strategy department for (enter biased opinion) NFL. Good life lessons that can be used daily. See what I did there.
As a writer I always assess the quality of books I read and as far as writing about DFS I seen some DOOZIES. I think that's how you spell that. Well this book is written well and really kept me reading. Great job. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
I got this book for tips on daily fantasy sports. The first 60% of the book is all stories of his career in dfs actually enjoyed the stories. All in the all a good book helped me immensely and was entertaining also
Brilliant book by Jason. I was expecting to get some solid DFS advice but got so much more with his personal stories, positivity, encouragement, and faith.
Excellent Read! Great story and insight into the DFS industry. Even if you don't play DFS, are a beginner, or play casually this book has something for you.
I would actually give this book about a 3.5 but I’ll round up.
Overall I liked the book, but I felt that the first 50% or so is somewhat bloated with backstory. Some of it just seems like the author wants to brag about the cool places he’s been and things he’s done. It doesn’t make the author unlikable and he sounds like a genuinely good person, it’s just a bit self-indulgent and every chapter dealing with his life situations sounded similar, so that part of the book could be condensed. I also felt that there was a LOT of brand name dropping. Some of it is to be expected since DFS only has a limited amount of platforms but at times it seemed like it was a book sponsored directly by Draftkings.
After you get through the first half of the book is when he starts going through his methodologies and process in how he approaches DFS. This was the part I came for (and probably what most others will too) and I felt the book could have used more of it! All 3 sport-specific chapters were super helpful and led me to think about my approach differently. Good tips for beginners like myself who are just trying to get started and his views on gambling seem healthy and non-predatory.
