This has the most intense storyline thus far seen in the series and it's a great book for both Welf and Lyu, as well as a worthy follow up to the previous arc. It's heavy, but definitely worth it.

EPIC.

After the events of book 13, book 14 picks up right away and roars down the highway at incredible speeds. This high speed chase is full of thrills and giving it one's all. We see so many characters step up I hope the "fallout" from this is some serious increase for these characters. Especially Welf!

The primary focus of the story is Lyu and Bell escaping from the troubles they found themselves in from book 13. It is actually a long stretch, but it reads quickly and you get to learn so much about Lyu that I really enjoyed it. While not my fave character in the series I have always liked her and wished she'd get a bit more page-time. Never fear, this one gives you that and then some.

I had people tell me I needed to read this before finishing Sword Oratoria (after I'd already finished it). I don't think so. If you've finished V.12 of the mainline you've got enough to finish off the side story even if it does take place concurrently.

Anyhow -- for fans of Is It Wrong volume 14 is a HUGE climax. Worth the read for sure.

Como sempre um prazer de ler mas a formula do autor está começando a ficar difícil de ler já que são 14 volumes. Espero que comece a mudar a direção da historia se não vai ficar complicado de continuar e ler.

Wow, I can't believe how this story just keeps getting better and better.

When I read volume 12, I was so sure that that was then my favorite volume on this series. And although volume 13 as good, that cliffhanger made me wish that I had waited for awhile before starting reading it. Especially after the delays that this volume which is essentially the second part of volume 13 had. I will no enter in details, but when that first crazy battle happened that early on this volume I just knew that this one was something special. And wow, this was such a long volume! I will go and said that the content of this one could had been easily sold as two separate volumes. Well as I said, I would not talk about much about the story, but that feeling of dread that was constant in the second half reminded me of the despair that one feel on a JRPG when you are deep on a dungeon with the party almost dying and out of supplies. It was just like that, or on a more recent memory would be similar to playing a Souls game for the first time. Anyway this one is definitely one my favorite volumes now.

Hopefully there will not be any delays for volume 15.

Good light novel

It's a good light novel with many fantastic events and emotional moments. I don't think this was the strongest entry in the series but it had a lot of growth in it.

Spoiler

The reason why I'll give it four stars is because there a LOT of deus ex machina moments. It's so frequent that whenever someone was in a pinch I knew that's when they were going to win.

Extreme spoiler

There were no real loss. As far as the ending explains everyone makes a sound recovery. Sure, I like them all so I guess it's alright but all of them got torn the hell up and it doesn't seem realistic that they don't have a form of PTSD. Also...Yeaaah Bell got another girl in girl in his harem -_-
I know the name of the title basically states it's a harem novel but I was not looking forward to Lyu being added. In my opinion the only other cool dude in the danmachi world is Welf and he is already taken.

Epic story - looking forward to more!

I really liked how it drew me in. The characters development are superb. The actions are consistent and story meshed together into a fluid dynamic and heart pounding masterpiece! I look forward to purchasing more volumes!

As for what I disliked about it None! I’m eager to see if Bell is a level 5 from all of the trials he went through. I would be amazed if he managed to jump to 6 or even 7! He should have gained so much experience and reached the breaking points multiple times that he’s a lot more powerful than before!

As to who I recommend it for. Anyone that loves to read lol. The novels is set up in a similar fashion to role playing game like .hack gu where when you challenge enemies in stronger areas you can get stronger faster.

This is the first light novel I read in the Danmachi series having only followed the anime until now and I've to say it's amazing. This volume follows Bell and Lyu (Leon) after their descent to the deeper floors following the fight with the Juggernaut. We also follow the rest of the Hestia familia expedition group fighting against the Amphisbaena (the Monster Rex of 26th/27th floor).

We will know about Lyu's backstory and we will see the bond between Bell and Lyu develop and some members of the Hestia familia have their amazing moments as well.

The rest, you have to find out by reading yourself. All in all, except for the writing in Bell's POV which took me a lot of time to adjust for some reason this book is amazing and a must read for all lovers of the series.

Amazing conclusion to this saga of Bell's adventures in the Dungeon. You can feel the terror and pressure each adventurer has and how terrifying is to overcome the unknown levels . The passing feels great and the participation of each of the characters give a refresh to the whole plot. Of course the most important character is Lyu, as her past, motivation and trauma is explained greatly thorough the volume.
Overall, pretty good as always. It is not perfect because there is a lot of deus-ex-machina stuff, which I have grown quite accustomed to by this point, but nevertheless make some outcomes quite predictable.

Quite thick for a "light" novel, this book is in two parts. First we finish the tale of Hestia familia without Bell, fighting through the calamity predicted by Cassandra. It's finally Welf's time to shine this time! The second part follows Bell and Lyu lost in the deep part of the dungeon. We finally learn about Lyu's past! The two of them try to escape as they're already quite wounded, and it makes for a long yet captivating tale. Overall one of the best volumes of this series, with characters showing not only physical and skills progression, but also mental fortitude and personnal progression.

An excellent addition to a strong series

An action packed classic for this series. If you're into big fight scenes this will be your jam. I would have liked a slightly longer epilogue or finale chapter but otherwise this book met all the expectations I had for it. This is not a good jumping in point for the series and I recommend all readers check it out in its entirety if possible but a thrilling addition all the same.
Loved this book and once again wait with bated breath for the next one.

How heroes are born.

This volume is just brilliant, not only is action pack from start to end and the story flows nicely making it an easy and enjoyable to read. Each character grows in this volume in an splendid way, the difficulties they face are only overcome through their teamwork and hard work, overcoming their weakness, fears and anxieties. Bell’s party fight against all odds and the author brings them to the spotlight, making them grow more. So far, this series strength has been the character’s development and the author once more delivers a great book.

Great

I loved the book. Can’t wait to see where the story goes from here. I think it’s interesting how Bell has just had one hell of an adventure with Lyu(Ryu?). I’m wondering what kind of adventures he might have with Aizi know he just met with her a book ago but he wasn’t with her then and it’s been since the village of the scales that he’s had time with her. I know there is currently nothing in the story giving much opportunity for this but I think he only needs one more book to get back headed in that direction.

Fantstic

This series is a rare treat in that the stories continue to be well written and further the plot rather than becoming word counts for a lazy paycheck. The chart half tells the story of Bells teams trials when he is separated from them. The second half tells Bells continuing story.... Well Bell is a big part of the second half. It's really more focused on Lyu . If give this novel 10 stars if I could.

Fantastic Novel

I’ve been a big fan of the movie adaptations of the book, so I’d give the novel a try…I’d had been missing out big time. I’m hooked on the novel and awaiting the movie adaptation for the next series. On to the next book.

Nice character development, interesting plot, one of the best volumes in the series (and one of the biggest at 420 pages). 14 volumes in and the story keeps getting better!

So long! But it was good, and is always great to have more Lyu! After a couple volumes of dungeon crawling, however, I'm ready for another character volume.
