I don’t typically gravitate towards high drama books but Bakari had me convinced that sleeping with your brother in law was a perfectly reasonable option. This series is good!

For the most part, I pretty much know what to expect when I pick one up and I like that. But, this book was not that. From the first chapter, Tiye Love brought it! I mean, what’s going on here is taboo, but I couldn’t help but be intrigued and found myself routing for Bakari and Kameron. Now before I spoil it, I’ll end by saying that I highly recommend this book and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the trilogy.

Surprisingly good!
When this series was recommended to me by KU, I was a bit hesitant to check it out. Since I'd never heard of the author, it didnt have many reviews, and the subject matter was just what the title spoke of...forbidden! I normally steer clear of stories tackling these types of sutuations. However, once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. And the taboo storyline didn't turn me off, as I suspected it would. The author handled it surprisingly well so far, but I'll admit a few things frustrated me. I'll leave out spoilers, but I can't wait to start part 2!

This is my first read by this author as I really couldn't figure out what to read next. I just happened to pick it up on a whim. I must say, from jump it kept my attention. I felt there was some good drama given this type of plot was centered on the trope of forbidden love. There was build with heightened anticipation as Kameron and Bakari navigated there attraction for one another though Kameron is undoubtedly off limits.
The time lapse at the beginning of the plot set the scene and the author surely does well with such a vast time lapse of years.
*slight spoiler below, but needed to explain*
However, it wasn't plausible that the hero and heroine could claim being deeply in love given the fact they only interacted TWICE in a 10 year span. Now, I get the fiery passion as the attraction was back being in each other's presence. But the 'fast love' talk was NOT plausible given the storyline.
Additionally, the book is a bit short and the end was some what weird to me. It wasn't a cliffhanger, just a break that wasn't climatic at all. I'm not sure how this could have ended, but it basically ended on a lull considering it's a 3 book series.

So Wrong But So Good
OMG how can you root for someone to have a very passionate Affair??? I love Kari & Kams' chemistry it's so hard who you find yourself passionately craving. But to be torn between Brothers is a Very Dangerous territory. And the twist and turns of their emotional torment is driving me crazy that I cant wait to see who I should be rooting for next!!!

Fantastic book
I enjoyed reading this book so much! I couldn't put my kindle down! I enjoyed the storyline and the chemistry between Kameron and Bakari! I can't wait for the next two books in this series! Fantastic book!

How can you not fall in love with Bakari? How can you not empathize with Kameron's plight? And then there's Aaron. This book has all the angst, sexuness, thrills, and suspense. It is un-put-downable! Great job, Ms. Love!

Amazing!!!!
What can I say, this story was amazing. Great storytelling, great scenes, scenes that felt all to real. This book was great!!!
Kameron thought she met and married the man of her dreams, until his sexy as sin little brother entered the the picture and showed her exactly what she had been missing. And what was that you say? Passion, being her true self and being heard. Bakari (what a name:)), elicits feelings in Kameron that her husband, the man that she chased and loved and married doesn’t.
This story was so amazing because literally every scene portrayed was very real IMO. Your sister is Arguing with you Telling you to stay in a marriage where you feel invincible, we have your best friend tell me to figure out what you want to do and the best course of action regarding Bakari, And you had your heart tell me that even though you love your husband his little brat is the movie one and one weekend with him to clear the cobwebs and the confusion. Unfortunately for camp it only made her heart ache worse and the heart wants what the heart wants and unfortunately for Aaron it’s not him. Bacari in everything that Cameron could walk, he is sexy, smart, he reads her like no other person, he can see the roofer and tell her exactly what she is thinking, he sexes her crazy and drives her crazy at the same time. What does that equal? Passion, excitement, and love and Cameron loves Bakari but she doesn’t want to lose her step family, hurt Aaron or alienate Bakari from his family. Great story amazing storytelling, loved it!!!

Bakari is a low down dirty dog for what he did and he’s lowkey delusional. Thinking that you can run off with your brother’s wife and everyone be ok with it? He literally told Kameron that once his family sees how much they love each other they’ll come around and forgive them, as if that justify their actions. Bakari hates Aaron and nobody can convince me otherwise. To go into your brother’s home and pursue his wife, there’s no way Aaron mattered to him. He undermined the f*ck out of Aaron to Kameron also. Close or not, you don’t do no dirty mess like that to your brother. And if Aaron is living foul, it STILL doesn’t give Bakari the right to do what he did. That don’t got nothing to do with you!
I gave this 4 stars because Bakari was a lil too aggressive and borderline desperate to be with Kameron. He had no regard for Aaron or how his actions would impact his family. To be that casual and comfortable and not have an ounce of remorse or guilt, bothered me. I understand Bakari and Kameron are in love, but there were better ways they could have went about things, especially Bakari.

Mixed emotions
Book two has left me with mixed emotions Bakari And Kam both worked my nerves. This situation was extremely challenging because as a Divorcee, I’m not a fan of adultery.
I guess I felt they should have dealt with the consequences She should have divorced Arron and Bakari definitely should not marry Lelia I Know that sounds awful but the game they were playing was much worse.
I was hoping to her Bakari point of view but then I guess he said all he needed to say. In book 1 the prequel. If nothing else he’s relentless in his pursuit of Kam.
I can’t help but feel that there is something going on with Arron that hasn’t come to light. I have a strange feeling he’s been having a well hidden affair himself 🤔. I’ll keep reading because I need see how all this foolishness is going to play out

How/why would you want to jeopardize a decade of marriage for the curiosity of the unattainable? Really? Kameron you share culpability in the demise of your ten year marriage to Aaron! Why renew wedding vows, if you’re that unhappy? …Both Kameron & Bakari need to practice self control and boundaries. …Again, why even consider and or pursue the possibilities of the unknown rather than confront, communicate, appreciate and strengthen what you already have with your husband? Nothing can become of this betrayal & violation 🤨🤦🏾♀️‼️Anything else will create indefinite division within the family!

Appropriate title Forbidden
My first ever Tiye Love book. I was reluctant to read because of the infidelity aspect. More specifically a brother betraying his brother by being with the brother's wife. Yet, not all things are as black and white as it seems. Cameron is the Girl who on the surface seems to have it all. But losing yourself in hopes of not losing a mate is a task that is hard to keep up. Aaron from what us detailed seems to have his shit together, yet the one character flaw is his attentiveness or lack thereof. Many say any good relationship cannot last with solid communication. Well with temptation added to it, in the form of Bakari the brother in law, then rest assured a receipt for destruction is to happen.

I Didn’t Know it’s not a standalone
I kept trying to figure out how the author was going to do the ending as I neared the end of the book. I love the author but it’s no way this can end well for anyone. Someone is going to get hurt. I hope that the author is not about to make Aaron out to be the villain just so that Kammie and Bakari can be together. No matter what type of husband he ends up being she should have spoke up before she married him. She knew that she was fiercely attracted to Bakari from day one, yet she decided to settle for Aaron. Now that she doesn’t want to settle anymore it’s open season. Not cool, not cool at all. So as curious as I am, I think this is it for me and this series.

This is a well written book and I'm captivated. We all know by the blurb that some cheating is possible. But what has me on the hook is wondering what happened in the past to Bakari and Aaron's relationship as brothers that one brother might compromise their relationship? Can't wait to read book 2

Still trying to process
This is a lot. I’m married and couldn’t see being attracted to my brother in law. They are both wrong on so many levels. She has a great sister to keep it real. I was just nervous the whole time reading because they are pure scandalous 🫤
Disrespectful is an understatement. I consider a book great when I’m so mad at the characters. 😍

Forbidden never felt so good
I gave this book a 5 star rating because it was simply a great read. This is my first time reading a book by this author and I wasn't disappointed in the least. I was sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation what how the story unfolded.

Just...WOW!
This is my first time reading anything by this author and wow! She did not disappoint! My friend suggested this trilogy to you and I'm glad she did. Book 1 was GOOD, a definite page turner. On to book 2!

Enjoyed!
This is my first book by this author. I enjoyed the storyline but I believe Aaron is up to no good with all this traveling and not wanting a kid. I don't want to tell the storyline but I would recommend.

Hands covering my eyes!!!

This story kept me on the edge of my sit!
Kameron doesn't know what she wants! She lets her husband make all their important decisions. I didn't like the dysfunction with her and her sister. Gotta go read book 2.

I really enjoyed this. I feel like I would've been obsessed had there been more interactions or flashbacks between certain people. The romance/love triangle would of been epic.
