I just love this book became it showed that people over 60 still have feelings and still can love and have fun. I love the way the way that the characters interact, especially George and Rebecca. We need more books in this age group. Great job.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Since I am a woman of a particular age, it gives me hope. Rebecca Langston made up in her mind it was time to live again ten years after her husband Roger's death. She met George Walters on a dating app her best friends signed her up for. After two failed hookups, she was entranced by George Walters and he was entranced by her. That is, until she found out he was the retired billionaire widower of Walt Tech, with a nasty condescending son. Her daughter was not too thrilled with the idea of her mother using a dating app to find love again either. Becca ran not wanting to cause any problems with George's family. Thank goodness for her good friends Grace and Lillian, who talked her down because George was thoroughly smitten and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, but the two families had to become acquainted before Rebecca would agree. George was not going to push her but give her space to make up her mind. George had re-awakened feelings she had determined that she would never feel again. She had a lot to get used to being the fiance and eventual wife of a billionaire but she loved George and was willing to let go and love and live again with George and all that entails the second time around.
So I was anticipating a very boring read and was PLEASANTLY surprised. Rebecca's path to a second chance at love after being married to Roger, the love of her life, starts off both funny and sad. Dating app stories applied to an over 60 person just make the whole thing more realistic than ever in today's age of technology.
After 2 disastrous attempts at meeting a gentleman thru the over 60 app, Rebecca chooses to go for the 'third time is the charm approach'.
And guess what, George is the perfect gentleman, nothing really weird about him until Rebecca understands who George really is; can she get over his wealth and power or will she let her chance at a happy and loving later years slip away.
Well, I am happy to say, that although they go thru the ringer, they do end up together. Their children play significant sub-characters in this story and lend to the strife and humor.
I would give this a solid 4 stars 4 1/2 if the reviews allowed.
Great read about and older (60)woman who takes her chances with a dating app. Her longtime friends wanted to surprise her and they did. Rebecca's curious nature caused her to try the app. First and 2nd tries were a disaster. However, just as she was going to delete the app, fate stepped in with George Walton. George was a widower like Rebecca who was over 60 as well. He had a life that afforded him some of the finer things like could offer. He and Rebecca had a few things in common. However, on their first date, Rebecca wanted to run for the hills. However, she found out George was very patient. Her BFF's gave her a tongue lashing and she took him back. However, being mature does not prohibit issues of life not to invade their happy place. You have to get this book and find out.. Great first time read by this author, but will not be my last..
An Over 60s Love Story. I was impressed with the story because I rarely read stories about older people finding love again. I am an older woman who would like to read more of these types of books. We have fantasies too. This was just that a fantasy for me. George is one of a kind who did not need to go on a dating app to find women. He did and found a special woman who turned his life back on. In these kinds of relationships it's usually the children that have a problem with the relationship thinking the woman is a gold-digger. But Rebecca proves Gerald wrong. The story is lively and full of steamy sex between older adults with libidos that haven't quit. A must read book! *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***
Being retired means that you no longer have a job but your career might not be over. Rebecca and George found one another on a dating app that her 2 BFFs gave her for her 61st birthday. Neither knew about using social media to find a date but both were open to love. Mature Seniors need and deserve love even if they are past 60 years of age. It is just hard to fathom finding love again after great marriage and a wonderful spouse, lost to death. It does happen on occasion. Read and find out if they stay together or remain, just friends.
I enjoyed reading about an older couple, whom found true love again after they had loss their spouse. George was very in depth, witty and cleverly put together. Rebecca was more cautious and unsettling. She needed confirmation from her friends to determine if she was doing right. She had good friends that look out for her well being. I was happy to know that in there 60’s, they found love and marriage and will Live a happy ever after life.
Wonderful progression from strangers to life partners-a second time around. Yes Rebecca was more insecure and too willing to cut and run at the first moment of friction but with the help of her own daughter, friends and a most gracious and persistent George, it works out. A few typos---misplaced words, etc...But not so many as to ruin the story. Hmmmm....George & Rebecca...😍
I liked this story of mature adults looking for love. It was interesting reading about Rebecca and George's journey to finding love after having two wonderful relationships prior. I enjoyed seeing the thing in the eyes of a mature couple working through an online dating site, fun. I enjoyed the flow of the story and it was a nice read.
I loved this mature love story. George was a boss, protective and determine to keep his second chance love. Rebecca stepped out of her shell and blossomed finding love again. This story gave you romance, a little drama and a love story to enjoy. Read this book it will not disappoint.
A mistake on a dating app connects Rebecca and George, widows on their second journey in love. With deep respect for their departed and taking their time to learn and love, the only obstacles ahead are their kids! Grown kids! Whatever will they do? Great mature read! Incredibly delightful.
I really enjoyed this book.George was a perfect alpha, but not a jerk. Some of the alphas I've read lately have just been jerks. And I loved loved reading about an older couple.I am 38 years old and I needed a break from the 20 year old romances😀Great job from the author with this book.I can't think of one complaint!
It was refreshing to read this story about second chances. One should never give up on themselves as they 'mature in age' . There is life and love for everyone if you really want it!
I was so excited and surprised when I saw this story finally a love story that involves two people who have lived longer than three decades I definitely recommend!!!
As a 'just hit my 60s' woman, I absolutely connected. I loved what George and Rebecca created and what they allowed themselves to appreciate about getting older. Beautiful connections are out there! Just open your mind, open your heart and receive it!
