Thorn's Revenge

Thorn
I told her when we first met that we couldn’t be more than friends with benefits. It was a great idea until she ghosted me. That’s when the puzzle pieces fit together and I realized she had more than just my dick in knots about her.

The girl claimed my heart through and through. No one would tell me shit about her, or at least, they didn’t until shit hit the fan.

Today is another story. Today she’s back and I’ll fight to prove she’s mine, even if I have to face the devil himself in order to save her.

Mini-review: This was a dumpster fire of a book. Writing hasn't improved, neither has the editing. It followed the exact same format of the last book, practically copied and pasted. It's still giving 15 year old with dark fantasies and too much internet access rather than a normal functioning member of society. There were a few things that made me wonder about the age of the author or just... the IQ. There was the Prometheus level of shenanigans right after a C-Section, calling satanists "satanics" which isn't what they're called. And I'm honestly surprised at the amount of high ratings this got, I saw 2 - TWO - 1 star reviews. Of 100+ only 2 thought this wasn't good, and it really wasn't.

Still needs an editor

The storyline is a decent one, if a little rushed. My problem is still the editing. Thorn and Lyndsay went from friends with benefits to nothing because of his friend’s big mouth and, while it could have been easily solved, there wasn’t too much drama with that bit of their tale. There is some seriously OTT drama, but it’s been cut down a lot from the first book. We shall see if the third book has editing improvements.

‘Holy moly cannoli’ this book is absolutely FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC and deserves more than 5 stars!!

Lynsdey has had a hard life but is trying to make the best of it until her past comes back to get her. When she finds out she is pregnant with her “friends with benefits” baby, she runs. Knowing he doesn’t do relationships she figured he wouldn’t want to be tied down with a child. One day when she arrives home, her gut tells her to leave but she ignores it and walks into a life changing situation.

Thorn never wanted more than a one night stand with a woman until he walks into Outlaw Racks, his Prez’s sisters bar, and sees the beautiful blonde waitress. When she disappeared without a word none of her friends would tell him anything until her best friend comes storming into the clubhouse panicked. Now he vows to get his woman back and keep her safe at all costs.

This is the second book in the Devil’s Riot MC. We first meet Thorn and Lynsdey in Horse’s Bride. I was so excited when I heard they were getting there own story and it was definitely worth the wait. This story is darker then Horse’s Bride and I was glued from the beginning. Now I can’t wait for book 3 in this series!!

E.C. Land is an amazing author. She had me on the edge of my seat a few times with this one plus laughing like a crazy woman. I’m definitely now a lifer when it comes to E.C. Lands books!! 🖤🖤

My Favorite Quotes:
‘We ride through hell to get to the other side.’
‘Holy mother monkey balls!’

Okay, wtf. I have two main complaints about this book:

1. The hospital isn't going to call the police when some bikers bring in a woman who has obviously been abused???
2. Charles Dickenson? She had Charles Dickenson on her shelf? Really?

There were some pretty gnarly grammatical errors and still some "pick me" energy. However, the bikers actually had a few authentic conversations instead of only talking about getting their d*cks wet. The heroine was pretty immature, and Hero was overbearing and presumptuous. This one was an improvement over the last one, so I'm forging on in hopes that the books get better with each one.

Can’t stand all the errors in these books, it blows my mind! The story is good, seems a bit rushed at times though. And we hear Kenny is in labor & then nothing. Not sure I’m moving on to the next book though.

This author has another hit on her hands!! Once I picked up this book I couldn’t put it down. She had me engrossed from the beginning and I just had to find out what happened with the Thorn and Lindsey. When the men of the Devil’s Riot MC fall for a woman they fall hard and completely. Thorn and Lindsey had an agreement, friends with benefits that’s all they were or were going to be. When word gets back to Lindsey that she is too clingy she bolts leaving Thorn to wonder what the heck happened. After she runs things go downhill from there. Lindsey finds out that she is pregnant, gets kidnapped by her psychotic stepbrother and has to come face to face with her baby’s daddy. She has been keeping a big secret that could be a game changer from Thorn and everyone else. Well her past and the secret she has been keeping change the way Thorn feels about her? What will become of the child Lindsey is pregnant with? I highly recommend this book!! I can’t wait for a book 3 to come out!

DNF
Don’t use other people’s religions when you don’t know what you’re talking about. I hate when authors do that.

Update- 7/2020
I forgot I had read and DNF’d this book. Here’s a tad more of a review:

-Too many similarities to this authors other books in the Riots Devils MC series. Basically too many repeats and not enough originality.

-Too many editing errors that throw you off.

-And if you write about someone’s religion, get your facts straight. Main stream “Mormons” don’t worship or speak to the devil, nor do they practice polygamy. Polygamy is practiced by break off churches from the main stream religion. Hell, they’re not even called “Mormon”, that’s a nickname... their church’s name is called: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints... aka: LDS if you want to shorten it. I have family who are in this religion, and I don’t think it’s right when authors say negative and wrong information about others religions. It ticks me off.

Michael and Lyndsey!

ok I really enjoyed this book. I find that the many perceptions of the characters was a bit better with the repeating of the same situation. Every book has great character development and world building. There are some instances where you have to go back and reread to make sure you understand what the author is trying to say but all in all a good book. I invested in this series and am in it for the long haul. on to see if Rage is going to be a good thing for Cleo or if he is going to be a huge problem. And I hope that I find out what the heck is going on with Logan and how all that crap plays into this whole thing that can't be safe or good. Alot of questions still to be answered and pretty sure more treachery and drama to follow. Onto the next book! Love this series!

So glad I decided to read the next book in the series. Thorns Revenge involves Lynsdey, (no not Lyndsay), and biker Thorn. From the first night Thorn has feelings for Lynsdey, and he thinks the feelings are reciprocated until suddenly he's being given the cold shoulder. Then Lynsdey quits her job at the Outlaws Rack and her friends are giving Thorn foul looks every time he goes in there. WTF? It's amazing what can happen when conversations are overheard and not investigated.Thorn has no idea that in trying to help him out, Horse has unwittingly ruined everything. Can Thorn win Lynsdey back or will her insane family get to her first?

Thorn what a guy!!!

Liked this one better than Horse's story. Hope we see more of Cleo and Rage. Other than that I keep getting jolted by types and bad grammar. Still enjoy the story arc and will keep reading.

What a story this was between Lyndsey and Thorn. My heart broke for her and especially for Cleo. Had tears in my eyes at parts. Looking forward to finding more of the little twists that keep popping up.

I loved this book!!

The story line was so well done. There was some suspense and some twists and some "WHAT!" moments and it all came together in the end with the sweetest HEA! I just love when the big bad MC guy tries and fails to fight the love he feels for a girl. Its such a sweet victory when he finally caves and gives in to it all. I loved that we didn't have to wait long for him to realize he was in love and he was b*lls to the wall about it once he admitted it! This story follows the twisted road of the FMC while she navigates her troubled past that has snuck back in to her life. Some twists we see coming and some turns are a surprise! It was really well done!

The grammar and editing are OK. There are quite a few grammar issues and several times when there are extra, unnecessary words in sentences or Repetitive statements made right after another but nothing so bad that it makes the reading experience un-enjoyable or distracts from the plot flow.

Thorn's Revenge by E.C. Land is an awesome MC book. This is the story of Thorn and Lynsdey. Thorn is a patched member of the Devil's Riot MC. Lynsdey was working as a bartender when they first met. When they first met there was an immediate connection but Thorn refused to believe it and they became friends with benefit. Lynsdey runs from Thorn. Lynsdey's past comes back to haunt her. Thorn swears to find her and show her he loves her. This book is aptly named because that is what Thorn does. He gets revenge for all the things that Lynsdey has had to suffer. This book has twists and turns, had me laughing and crying and made me angry, had suspense, drama. I could not put the book down. I can't wait for the next book by Ms. Land. I definitely recommend this book.

OMG!! What a page turner..... From the beginning when you catch the eyes of someone you just never know. From seeing each other to being friends with benefits to have it all taken away within a blink of an eye and don’t know why. No one and I mean no one is telling me what the hell is going on with Lynsdey. She has completed ghosted me and I want to find out why. Well everyone has a past and some are able to get over it and other feel fear for the rest of their lives. Will Thorn be able to get to the bottom of The Who’s and whys. Will it all come to a breaking point and will the questions be answered. This is one hell of a story and you will be wanting answers as you turn these pages. So grab your copy and enjoy the ride... It will twist your mind to get the answers.

Omg this story I’ve never read anything like it the story started with Lyndsey and Thorn becoming friends with benefits then her overhearing his friends saying some nasty things about her so she cuts Thorn off without a word and leaves taking her secret with her. Then we soon find out someone is out to get her and she needs protection.

When Thorn realizes his mistake it’s too late and it’s been two long months without her. But Lyndsey may need hi, sooner then what she thinks with the maniac behind her. Then we find out some of the secrets her family has been keeping . Theo or Michael he screwed up but is with her all the way even when she is not talking to him.
There is a lot of drama in this book it may be too graphic for some but is still a good read.

This is Thorn and Lynsdey’s story. These two meet when the club moves and she is a waitress at Kenny’s bar. They decide on being friends with benefits, since neither one wants a relationship. When she ends up pregnant, she leaves. Lynsday doesn’t want Thorn to think she is trying to trap him. When all hell breaks out and her stepbrother goes crazy, Thorn is going to anything and everything to get his woman back and make her believe he wants her and the baby.

***Trigger warning - This book does have a rape scene***
This is a little too alpha male but its not so bad that I hated it.

These MC romances always run the risk of being a little too "me man you woman" and this does do it a little bit but it isn't so bad you can't get past that or at least I got past it.
I like Thorn I think hes a good guy that doesn't always show and say what he wants very well so Lyndsay does make a lot of mistakes.
The rape scene is very brutal or at least it was for me. I'm curious to see how the author handles that in the next few books, if that is done well will determine whether I continue on.

This book is fast paced and very easy to read.
It is almost the exact same story as the first in the series though. Man whore, woman who runs away because of a misunderstanding/silly reason, kidnapping, pregnancy, betrayal by a club whore, man saves woman from crazy person.
The editing, or lack thereof was shocking! How a writer doesn’t know the difference between we’re/were, you’re/your. And don’t get me started on the name Lynsdey… what is that??
I could definitely have done without a really random nurse hitting on the female when she’s in hospital, that was the most weird thing I’ve read in a long time, it did nothing for the story whatsoever and was just so unbelievable.

It was okay. Loads and loads of spelling mistakes.

At the beginning of the book I really didn’t like Thorn. He tells Linsdey that he wants to be fuck buddies and nothing else. When she realises that she’s falling for him and misunderstands a conversation that she overhears, she leaves him and the area. Instead of asking him about it, like an adult would! Thorn realises when she’s gone that he loves her, and pursues her. After he’s thought about it for ages!!

Of course Linsdey is in danger as all the women are, and the Mc tries to protect her.

Spelling mistakes throughout the book, and sentences that don’t make any sense.

It started out as friends with benefits, then it quickly moved on to something else, that neither one was expecting.
When n,by someone from her past,he’ll move heaven and earth to get her back. When he learns her secret, he vows that she will be his and he’ll always keep her safe.
He has to prove to her that his feelings for her are just for her and not a way for her to stay with him.
Needless, to say, after she is taken again, and, everything, they figure out that they love and care for each other, and are ment to be together.

Thorn & Lynsdey

First off, this is the second book in the Devil’s Riot MC Series and while it can be read alone, it’s really best to read the books in order to get the most enjoyment out of them.
Second, Thorn!!! I loved his character, he may have not been looking for more than a friends with benefits things at the beginning, but once he realized that he loved Lynsdey he was all in.
Third, Lynsdey! This poor woman has been through so much, yet was more than willing to work her butt off to make a better life for herself, she’s a fighter.
Fourth, I’m completely hooked!!

first book set this up

When I reviewed the first book I said I thought it was just setting up the rest of the series by giving us some background and although I like the first book this one is so much better. This one has you going backwards and forward constantly. It has a gripping storyline but be aware there are some triggers and the characters are charismatic and fully rounded, makes you want to look into their souls. Love the involvement of the MC as it is strong but not overwhelming to the main characters story.

Second book in this series and just as good as the first. This one is about Thorn. He falls for a girl . But word gets back to her about her being clingy. She finds out she is pregnant and disappears. She is found and things escalate from there. Her out of control step brother is a mess and kidnaps her. Will these two get their family and happy ever after? I loved this story. It was emotional intense enjoyable. I am hoping we get Rage's story next. Love these books.Very enjoyable.

This book was a super quick read for me I couldn't put down. Thorn and Lynsdey started as a one night stand end up as booty calls and one night she over hears someone saying she's being clingy so she runs. Thorn has no idea where she is or whats going on with her. Im surprised she was able to hode it as long as she does .... her and Cleo go through so much in this book and it was so hard I still can't believe Lynsdey did as well as she did with it all. Bring on book 3!!!
