With no way to know what obstacles they will face or if their families survived, they refuse to wait for someone else to help them. Ten courageous young people take charge of their future and choose to begin the long journey home. 1500 miles of adventure and lawless country await. Will their determination be enough?
The survivors fight for HOME

The stragglers cope in a lawless metropolis in CITY ESCAPE
Book 4 - Mrs. Moore remained behind in the city to try and protect the students that refused to flee when the power went out. She knows that no one is coming to help them. She must find a way to unite them all and find a sanctuary to ride out the worst of the chaos before convincing them to begin the long journey back to Canada.
Weathering the first winter without power in FROZEN - Sickness and hard choices in ICED
Books 5 & 6 - The first winter without power is even more extreme than the normal arctic cold of winter in Canada and Mother Nature is just one adversary that has risen in this post-apocalyptic world. The teens must face the elements as well as the changes that have come with the loss of all the power and infrastructure of civilization. When a devastating virus hits their town, they face it all head on in a journey to the nearest city for the medicine they need.

Theresa Shaver lives in South Central Alberta Canada.
As an avid reader, I used to dream about writing and sharing my own stories with the world. Publishing was a far off and intimidating goal until Amazon opened the gates! I love that I get real feed back from my fans on my books instead of some guy behind a desk who studies market trends. I write to share my dreams with the world and now I can. My first series is a Young Adult Post-apocalypse story. I love writing about the growth of characters faced with such huge challenges and plan to continue future stories in wrecked worlds. It's a new do it yourself world in so many industries so never stop believing in your dreams and do it yourself!

I enjoyed this whole boxset about a group of teens from Canada who are on a class trip in Disneyland California when the EMP hits. They are trying to make it back home to Canada and they wind up splitting up and some of them go by land, some by sea, and a group decides to wait it out in the city.

Each of the first 3 books tells the story of a different group and what they go through to arrive back home and how they change and grow along the way. They do lose some of their groups as well, which made the story more believable. They find out just how resilient they can be and they form bonds that will last a lifetime.

The last two books tell the story of when the group arrives back home and what they encounter while there. Their parents still want to treat them like children, but the teens are more adult than the adults at this point.

Overall, an enjoyable read and I would read more from this author.

Absolutely one of the best of the best!

I finished the box set of Stranded! I have almost nonstop with only short breaks for food and other necessities! The characters are the story here and what they endured to survive with grace, grit and lots of determination. Lots of action, believable conversations that show these are bright, intelligent, courageous teens and one very savvy, strong teacher! Thank you, Teresa Shaver. I look forward to reading much more of you writing.

Great Series

This is an excellent series. The books all have a central theme which starts in book 1 then divides into separate stories of each group. The unique way she wrote the series allows the reader to travel along with each group and experience different ways and the problems faced to reach their final destination. Well written.

Excellent story

I thoroughly enjoyed these books and read them all one after the other. The story was interesting and fast paced. The characters became alive and you became invested in their wellbeing. Some might argue that it isn't Shakespeare but I would retort saying maybe not but it isn't hard work either. All in all well worth a few hours of your time.

Not too shabby

I enjoyed reading the first book, and I wanted to find out what happened to the rest of the people. There were some flow issues...not enough detail about some things, too much of others. Overall, not a bad read.

Mind blowing

Excellent read. Believable characters and some insight into what could happen to civilization during a technology blackout. Makes you think about being more prepared for what could happen.

I loved this series. It had good action that I enjoyed, a little romance, and moderate profanity. This is a story of good people overcoming difficult circumstances. I highly recommend it!
