Το μοβ φόρεμα της Βαλαντίν

Η Φρανσουάζ Σαγκάν γνώρισε πολύ νωρίς την επιτυχία. Κέρδισε πολλά χρήματα, αλλά ακολούθησε τη συμβουλή του πατέρα της: "Στην ηλικία σου, το να έχεις πολλά λεφτά, είναι επικίνδυνο. Ξόδεψέ τα!". Καζίνο, νυχτερινά κέντρα, ακριβά αυτοκίνητα που οδηγεί με ιλιγγιώδη ταχύτητα. Το κοινό την συγχέει με τους ήρωες των έργων της και γίνεται, χωρίς να το θέλει, το σύμβολο μιας ολόκληρης γενιάς, που είναι απελευθερωμένη ερωτικά, δεν έχει οικονομικά προβλήματα, είναι ανέμελη και αυθάδης.

Στα δεκαεννιά της χρόνια, το 1954, εκτοξεύτηκε στο λογοτεχνικό στερέωμα με το μυθιστόρημά της "Καλημέρα θλίψη" και ακολούθησαν πολλά άλλα έργα τα οποία γνώρισαν τεράστια επιτυχία σε όλο τον κόσμο. Το "Mοβ φόρεμα της Βαλαντίν" γράφτηκε το 1962 και είναι το δεύτερο θεατρικό της έργο· γνώρισε μεγάλη επιτυχία όπως και το πρώτο της θεατρικό έργο, "Πύργος στη Σουηδία". Το "Mοβ φόρεμα της Βαλαντίν" έχει για θέμα τη δικαιοσύνη, την αλήθεια και το ψέμα. Πόση σημασία έχουν όλ' αυτά για την ηρωίδα; Καμιά. Για τον περίγυρο όμως τεράστια. Αυτή η μεγάλη απόκλιση απόψεων δημιουργεί το δραματικό ελατήριο γι' αυτό το ανάλαφρο και πνευματώδες έργο.

About the author

Born Françoise Quoirez, Sagan grew up in a French Catholic, bourgeois family. She was an independent thinker and avid reader as a young girl, and upon failing her examinations for continuing at the Sorbonne, she became a writer.

She went to her family's home in the south of France and wrote her first novel, Bonjour Tristesse, at age 18. She submitted it to Editions Juillard in January 1954 and it was published that March. Later that year, She won the Prix des Critiques for Bonjour Tristesse.

She chose "Sagan" as her pen name because she liked the sound of it and also liked the reference to the Prince and Princesse de Sagan, 19th century Parisians, who are said to be the basis of some of Marcel Proust's characters.

She was known for her love of drinking, gambling, and fast driving. Her habit of driving fast was moderated after a serious car accident in 1957 involving her Aston Martin while she was living in Milly, France.

Sagan was twice married and divorced, and subsequently maintained several long-term lesbian relationships. First married in 1958 to Guy Schoeller, a publisher, they divorced in 1960, and she was then married to Robert James Westhoff, an American ceramicist and sculptor, from 1962 to 63. She had one son, Denis, from her second marriage.

She won the Prix de Monaco in 1984 in recognition of all of her work.

É muito esquisito ler Françoise Sagan sem conseguir entrar na cabeça dos personagens. Isso acaba deixando essa peça um pouco mais misteriosa que os romances dela. A indecisão e dialética mental sempre tão vibrantes ficam a cargo do ator (ou do leitor) e não dá pra saber se de fato era indecisão ou apenas mais uma brincadeira... Algumas pessoas nasceram para passar a vida brincando, deslizando suavemente como uma flor, ou um espectro... Resta saber se você vê beleza ou tristeza nelas.

J'ai mis du temps à entrer dans cette pièce de théâtre : le premier acte m'a semblé longuet et futil. Heureusement, le second acte est bien meilleur et m'a vraiment plu. Et puis, deux extraits que j'ai envie de retenir parce qu'ils m'ont beaucoup plu :

"On peut aussi ne ressembler ni à ce que les autres veulent, ni à ce qu'on veut soi-même"

"Il sait que ce qui compte, ce n'est pas ce que fait quelqu'un, c'est quelqu'un. Sa présence."

Ou comment démontrer en quelques mots la justesse de Françoise Sagan à parler du cœur et de l'esprit humain.
