It's great!!! i love the series beter though, ive skipped a lot of pages the series isnt any different then the book, but the part that sucks is that one of the characters(charles brandons) wife catherine sometimes she didnt want the baby she was carring becasue his duty was to kill hundreds of men women and children!!! and at the same time she found out she was pregnant, an she lost the baby i was just about crying :(
This was an excellent tie-in to the awesome Showtime series written by Michael Hirst. Like the TV series, the book drew me in and was an engaging, scandalous, and thrilling page-turner. I loved Elizabeth Massie's writing and as I read the book, scenes from the show played in my mind. All fans of "The Tudors" should read this. A wonderful literary version of season three that will seduce, amaze, shock, and leave you wanting to know more.
I love reading about this time period, but there were too many characters and too many names. That made it unenjoyable. It was like homework trying to keep everyone straight.
