Kindness can be only a Snippet away! Join this fun story about how a little snippet wants desperately to live in the kindness jar because he learns that it brings kindness to the world, but can't figure out the right words to help spread kindness.
This is a quick, little book that teaches children if they do kind things that it is rewarding enough. Introduces the concept of using a kindness jar full of papers for ideas on doing kindness or filling it up with things done for a reward.
The illustrations were line drawn but not spectacular. However in this case, they did not need to be because it was not really the drawings that were the concept.
In any case, this would be a good primer with other books to teach the subject.
For me, this is an okay book and get 3 stars.
Disclosure: I borrowed a Kindle copy from the Kindle library. The review here is 100% my own opinions.
I love the way this book encourages everyone to spread kindness by doing things for others. I can’t wait to make and share a kindness jar in my classroom and help my students spread love to our school community.
Everyone can share kindness. Choose to be kind and encourage others to pass it on. A simple activity that children and adults could do to make the world a better place.
Snippet wants to live in the jar. Why? This jar brings kindness around the world. Its full of different positive notes. What is the mosaic of notes about? You can make your very own kindness jar.
A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written children’s helpful book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s kindness movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

This is a great story to use in the classroom or with a group of kids. A little paper snippet sees a jar full of other papers that have kindness notes written on them. The paper snippet wants to be just like them but in order to be a kindness note it needs kindness words written on it. The snippet enlists the help of other paper scraps who join together to make a mosaic of kindness notes.
"Kindness Snippets" is a fun idea that a classroom can do. As kids do kind acts, they write it on the snippet and put it in the jar. After a kindness initiative is over the teacher and students can take out all the snippets and make a colorful mosaic of all their kindness. It becomes a beautiful reminder for the class to do kind acts.
This is an interesting concept for small pieces of paper. The small paper wants in a jar, .not just any jar. A jar for.kindness. Kindness already done. He is not sure how it works. He has a book of words and finds out how important words are. Words hold power. He finds out he should treat people the way he would like to be treated. He tried to decide what to do. What would you do? Would you like to put a snippet in a kindness jar? Keep reading to find out if he decided what he is going to do. Enjoy the book and the kindness on each page. I found this book on a website for free for an honest review.
As a mom I LOVE this book!! Why? "I can be kind too," my daughter turned to me and said that. The next day she was referring to Snippet and being kind. This sunk in so fast and it stuck. In a world where there is so much hate, violence, corruption, and grooming we have to do everything we can to protect and prepare our children for the future. You can't solve a problem with another problem, inspiring children to be themselves and be kind is the best thing we can do.
Kindness notes are added to the kindness jar. But Snippet ( a returning character) does not understand how to get added to the jar of notes. He asks his friends to help, and they kindly assist Snippet. At the end, the author suggests two ways to use a Kindness Jar with children. AND diane Alber also has kindness notes available on her website! This is why I am collecting all of the books written Diane Alber.
If you have children this is another must read which helps to reinforce a simple message-be kind! Love the message in this book and the super easy directions to make your own kindness message jar. Buy this you won’t be disappointed
She does it again with another amazing book with a great lesson for kids! I love all of her books and have started reading them to my daughter at night and to my preschool class. I can’t wait to see what else she has in store!
A wonderful reminder for children about the importance and the rewards of kindness.
I especially loved the fact that the author’s website gave me printable snippets to send home with the little ones. They could then start their own kindness jar at home.
this book is great and brings new ideas of taking note of your acts of kindness. This book is not really my favorite I think it is kind of weak and all over the place could be good for kids but just not that great.
Short children's book that is all about kindness and how to use a kindness jar. It is easy to understand and the illustrations are basic, but colorful. It wasn't the most engaging book, but it carries a nice message.
A good book to read to a class to teach kindness and encourage everyone to do acts of kindness. My 8 year old daughter really liked the book and was happy that Snippet was able to go in the jar.
