This book is the latest installment in the life of Dr Zora Smyth as she tries to complete her surgical residency and get on with her life as a surgeon. It's not so much a who-dunit, because we know who it is but Zora doesn't, as a thriller. This book finds Zora arrested for the murder of Dr Edwards. She stands to lose everything she has ever wanted. It builds Zora's character more, gives more personal insight. We even know tha Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee is her favorite. We feel her fear and frustration and rejoice in her strength. I can't wait for more! I want to thank the author for giving me a copy of this book to read and review. I love her writing style. It is highly readable and is developing the more she writes. I loved this book! Well most of it anyway. I'm sure the author knows what I am speaking of but I don't want to spoil the book for the readers.

Love this series

I love this series and have been waiting for this book to come out. It did not disappoint. I don't want to give spoilers but there is.one part that I really really disliked and I think when you read it you will know which part that is. We get to meet her mother and that is very enjoyable.

Zora is not defeated, the mob and others want her gone

Zora continues to battle the mob and all the others who want her to fail. It's only the emergency surgery she conducts on the mayor's daughter that turns things around. That, and the undying efforts of her mom's lawyers and her boyfriend Dave.
Sadly, her good friend marcus is murdered because of his ties to her.
Fortunately, her relationship with her mom is greatly improved.

I loved this fast paced medical thriller that reads like a Robin Cook novel. Chief resident Zora fights the hospital establishment as she works to discover why bodies are disappearing. I had to read this in one sitting.

I am really liking this series by Dobi Cross. This is the second book I read in a total of two days. Fast-paced action, clean of dirty language, but heavy-hitting subject matter.
