*****Offensive. You should totally trust us at all times. -Actual Vampire
*****I... was pleasantly surprised by how well Amanda Sebring introduces new ideas in familiar skins. Although a sharper edge would be a strong development in coming books, Zane is a blast to read and I am looking forward to what drops next. If you enjoy dark fantasy, monsters and the complicated politics of supernatural beings, I'm not sure why you aren't already scrolling quickly... to purchase the book. Either way, this is an author worth following and a series that could turn into something for fans to devour. -Neon Bloodbath
*****Darkly delightful with masterful storytelling and a kickass imaginative world, you cannot go wrong with this book. I devoured it and sit and wait for its successor, because Sin City Sanguines is a staple on my vampire fiction shelf. -Author Charlotte Munro
From the very first page you are transported back into the dark, decadent world that Amanda has created, where her vampire creatures are a far cry of recent times. Citing Anne Rice’s Lestat and The Lost Boys, the sequel of Sanguine Vampires is a firm addition into this imaginative and unique world.
Ryker does not disappoint and I devoured this book, I couldn’t put it down. From the fiery encounters between rivals, to the prose and dialogue In general this story just flows like the Trevi Fountain, filled with blood.
Leaving me still wanting to become a Black Star, and disappointed I’m not, I will quite happily devour this book again. Zane and Quinn’s relationship was a stormy ride, and the politics in the covens all built up a thrilling backdrop to Ryker.
Yes I am indeed a Ryker fan. True to her gothic style and fantastic imagination, Amanda has done it again and kept the train going with the series. I can’t wait for the next!
Also, come on. How can you not be obsessed with our demonkin Ryker?
Amanda Sebring delivers once again with the next installment of the Sin City Sanguines series. Ryker is a compelling and complex character. I love how the author explores his and the other creatures of the night’s powers. You always walk away with an understanding of how these abilities function and even what it’s like to be on the receiving end of these powers. I enjoyed how Zane felt dirty about using thrall on a victim.
The story moves at a great pace. The conflicts are established and the stakes are raised. Ryker has arrived and it’s badass. Sin City Sanguines is a breath of fresh air for the paranormal genre.
