Is being marked with just one of the powers enough? Is being marked with six? What about being marked with all twelve?
When Mackenzie’s seventeenth birthday comes around, she planned to spend a few years at the school for the marked learning about her new powers, and then leaving and living her life. But nothing goes as planned when she attends the marking ceremony and all twelve marks appear.
Kenzie lives in a world where being marked with six powers is normal, being marked with seven or more is rare. But being marked with twelve? Well, that’s unheard of.
With learning about her new powers, the last thing Kenzie needs to worry about is falling for her hot teacher. Not to mention the unneeded distractions of the sexy twins, the jerk in all her classes, and her older brother’s best friend who finally seems to notice her.
Romance and marked powers are never a good mix, not when there are people who desire her for more than her heart.
Kenzie may not know, understand or want her twelfth power, but someone does.
This is a reverse-harem complete series with exclusive bonus scenes. The complete Marked Series contains: #1 Marked by Power #2 Marked by Pain #3 Marked by Destruction #4 Exclusive bonus scene
G. Bailey is a USA Today bestselling author of books that are filled with everything from dragons to pirates. Plus, fantasy worlds and breath-taking adventures. Oh, and some swoon-worthy men that no girl could forget. G. Bailey is from the very rainy U.K. where she lives with her husband, two children and three cheeky dogs.
Kenzie’s story was one I enjoyed right from the moment I started the first book - Marked by Power. The characters and storyline had me quickly hooked and I wanted more. Luckily this box set contains a bonus scene which ties in the ending of the series.
If your looking for a new series to start, The Marked Series Box Set is a great story to begin.
I highly recommend The Marked Series by G. Bailey and Cece Rose, and this is the perfect way to read the collection.
I love this series! This review is for the Epilogue only. Please see individual books for my review of them, but know that this was one of my favorites!
And that Epilogue! Kenzie was still in the mischief and causing the guys to shake their heads at her in exasperation and I loved it!
I love this series so much and when the box set came out and I found out the it had the bonus scene and it was beautiful. A perfect ending to this awesome series. Beautifully written and wonderfully created this would grips you and makes you fall in love. Also makes me cry like a baby.
Great great story. Love the characters. So much drama and action. Great story flow. Could use a proofreader though. Just enough mistakes to interrupt the reading flow.
This series is full of adventure and romance. I love the world they created. I picked up the box set to read the second epilogue because I couldn't get a enough.
Woah! This book was freaking awesome. I love that two of my favorite authors joined up and wrote a knock out book together! Freaking loved it!
Mackenzie is a sassy, always late, funny teen who is so relatable (minus the marks and cool powers) that I was able to really enjoy this book. I found it funny as Hell but also, when it got serious, I felt my stomach cramp and drop, needing to know if it would all turn out well.
The boys are...well, boys. I love them all and I need more marked boys in my life! I can't wait until the next book!
Gem and Cece are the Queens of cliffhangers, let me tell you! This is the second book in this series and it's starts and ends in a bang! Kenzie is captured and is being held in the rebels camp, where she meets her long thought to be dead father. He's an a hole. Obviously. Her guys are gorgeous and awesome of course and her bff is sweet and smart. I don't want to give anymore away because this is the type of book that you need to read for yourself.
The thrid book picks up where the second left off. In another world. A world full of marked. Kenzie has no marks left and so she has to go through this "Are you worthy?" type of trial. Hopefully this will aide her in her fight against big bad daddy. There were parts of this book that made me cry, and a whole lot that made me laugh. I'm going to miss Kenzie and her hunks.
In this box set you finally get to know a secret that us readers have been dying to know the answer to... Mr. Daniel's first name!! Its been a long time coming and I feel like my life is now complete. I'd give it 20⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ if I could!

*spoilers* I liked the flow of the writing and the characters, but had difficulty with the depth of character and emotions. I also had a few scenes come across confusing and make no sense why they did that. Kenzie's reactions to events aren't always normal reactions. While she should have come across as a fiesty and strong character typical of UF, the others were right to call her a brat on occasion. I prefer my UF characters to have strong support and her boyfriends didn't fall into that category. The first book shows them powerful in their magic, but it later became irrelevant when she goes to defeat Alaric by herself. That made no sense to me why she felt she had to go fight him alone. Didn't they all receive more marks to be more powerful? And what about the lady guarding the underground Temple? No explanation about that scene or a few others that made no sense. There wasn't a cohesive bond between the characters when it could have made the relationships and the emotional connections much stronger. This story was worth reading in the PNR/ RH/ UF category, but it won't stay in my collection for a re-read.
I love the plot and the direction the Book seems to be following, but the notion that this is in the romantic genre is sad and a serious let down. There is no real connection with any of the guys, or many of the characters in the book really. None of them have true depth. Each one is insanely talented and hot, that's about it. The FL shows up with a personality no woman has every had and it just attracts the men because they've never seen any woman that doesn't want to fuck them so they in turn want to fuck her. Also she doesn't struggle, not really, in her discovery of her marks. Everything is so easy she just tries once or twice and with a snap of her fingers and completely masters whatever task is given to her. There's not much description to how, either. The world building is fascinating and vast, I love it, but the character building, varied personalities (as there are with reverse harem novels) is lacking, and the depth to the characters I want to love is what makes it hard to read. The description to everything in between is lacking too, so it's hard to read.
I really enjoyed this series. Kenzie is hilarious and someone I could relate to completely. I love the plot and the whole background of the marked. However, I felt this should have been more books. The 3rd book in particular felt rushed and I would have liked some more time getting to know the guys, I feel like we only scratched the surface. Also, I'm sorry, I really dislike being one of those people that complains about this. But someone needs to go back and proofread. If it was one or two here and there, I try to just move on, but this had a lot of issues. Not with spelling, but using the wrong word or words needed to be added or rearranged for the sentence to make sense. It really takes away from the story when you have to constantly rewrite a sentence in your mind to get what the author wants to say. This was a good series, but I feel it could have gone even further to make it a great series.
I honestly took a bit longer to finish this book than other ones I am interested in. It felt like something I had read previously. But aside from that, the books were pretty good. I do feel like something is missing from these books if I am being honest. I kept reading because I wanted to know what would happen to the MCs, but it just felt rushed and not enough learning about each other.. Each of them have distorted pasts that the Female character did not learn about and I feel like that is kind of important when you are dating five guys...just saying.
I do not think I would read this again, but I do recommend it. It was a pretty good read and towards the end it got really good! Speaking of: What happened with Kelly and Taelon?
I've read a lot of RH academy books lately and it was nice to not have a whiny, completely useless, lovesick heroine. Unlike some stories these just weren't even a destined unit like others have been, but the group dynamic strengthened them rather than have them constantly fretting over how they were all afraid to lose each other. Major points to the author giving them faults and weaknesses, but not having them turn into crying toddlers over them it. I gave 4 instead of 5 as I wanted to know how the rest of the world fared after unlocking the 12th mark. Maybe it's still coming.
I have loved this trilogy. The first book was light hearted and I loved it. Reading kenzies mishaps with her magic was entertaining and fun. My favourite of the three. The second book made me hate almost everyone and I was ready to get stabby with some of the characters. The third book made me cry on and off, tears of sadness and happiness. A brilliant trilogy. My only gripe is there are a few extra chapters at the end and the spelling and grammar are awful. There are so many mistakes like contractions was contradictions - there were other mistakes that I couldn't even fathom what they were meant to say.
This was a very enjoyable read. Kenzie and her guys are very likable characters with each of the guys bringing a different element with their personalities. I was a little unsure about her best friend Kelly, likeing her somtimes and then not being very sure about her the next but I do think that was intentional by the writers. Kenzie has a lot to deal with in these books but it never feels forced and the story flows naturally. I still don't quite know how I feel about Ryan so I will have to re-read these to make up my mind. Would definatly recomend these books.
So this series was okay. The idea of the story was better than the execution for me. Some of the stuff in the first book was sort of weird. Like the way the teachers all pretty much decided the fmc was conceded about how many powers she got. Which was odd to me because there wasn't a solid reason behind it. Other than that it was an okay book. Having all three books in the series together helped. I wouldn't have finished it if it wasn't all together. Read it if you're bored but don't expect the moon.
I love this series and how convenient it is for them to read in a box set. I have reviewed each one individually but just had to say that if you haven't read this series, this is a great way to be introduced to CeCe Rose and G. Bailey. Individually these two are such great authors, and together, freaking awesome. We have a a great female lead with guys that support her in all that she does. I highly recommend this series and definitely check out these authors and their other works.
The conundrum, enigma, puzzle, riddle, secret, unsolved problem (ha, I hope I'm using onomatopoeia the correct way, if not oi) to the mysteriousness of the mystery. The co-writes between G Bailey & Cece Rose = a mix between Harry Potter/The Magicians. Although, in my opinion, after rereading books 1-3, at times we often find Kenzie repeating herself numerous times throughout but in different words. Aside from that, The Marked Series is a fun read, so I recommend it.
I loved the whole series! The story was so intriguing and the characters were wonderful. I love that all the books are on one collection now. My only criticism is that the third book wasn’t proofed or edited well at all. There were so many extra words and sentences that didn’t make sense that it was almost distracting. If that were cleaned up it would be just about perfect.
Follow Kenzie and her friends as they journey from first receiving their marks and powers to having to save the marked worlds from someone from Kenzie's past who wishes to rule all. Reverse harem with graphic sexual scenes, swear words, and violence.
G. Bailey and Cece Rose co-author this exciting story with well developed characters and plotlines. Highly recommend.
This set of books was rich. All the information about the marks. The world that's not earth. Following Kenz and her guys was interesting. I enjoyed the story a lot. What happened to her best friend? Did she end up with the dragon guy? One of the biggest problems I had with this book was all the spelling errors in the last book. The first 2 books were very well edited but 3 that one was like ok we dobt need edits we have them hooked.
This series is seriously amazing! Kenzie is our female lead and she’s a strong woman, not like some whiny main characters you can come across. The men are all very yummy and their personalities are all very different so it’s easy to remember who is who. The plot is also pretty intricate so there’s a little bit of everything for everyone!
The plot is interesting enough to stick to the series. For that I give three stars. But the character development is lacking. I couldn't emotionally connect to many of the characters. I feel the authors could have added another book and expanded on the plot, the relationships and the war.
Plowed through this book from beginning to end. The lines between one book to another blurred to no existence and the story kept moving along. This starts out as slow to medium burn till sizzling in the end. The series will have you laughing and crying and fanning yourself. Definitely worth the read.
I will always love this series. I have yet to read a series like this one. With all the struggles Kenzie goes through and still comes out on top. Even the heartbreak couldn’t defeat her. As long as she still has people that love her she is willing to fight to survive.
What a great series. Very well written and the characters are really good. Loved the marks they received and then learning how to use them which leads to a big adventure that leads them into danger. If you like reverse harem and fantasy you will enjoy this series.
It was an okay read, it was not one of those series that makes you lose sleep to finish, so it took me a good two weeks to finish, normally I’d end all three books in a weekend, but I did end up finishing. The last book I had to power through because there were so many cringe scenes and some parts seemed rushed, Kenzie was really annoying sometimes, but she IS a teenager so I looked past it
Who could ask for more..... I started this because it was a reverse harem series but I kept reading because I couldn't put it down. An awesome story by an accomplished writer.
I loved the boxed set! My heart was so full with the bonus scenes and I had almost forgotten what it was like to go through the fight for McKenzies life and to fall for the guys
Great book, a lot of errors (spelling, grammar, missing/incorrect words) which can be slightly distracting. Not enough to bring out of the story though.
