Pastor Phil knows how to speak to the heart and minds of people. He connects through real life story’s and experiences we can all relate too. He speaks the word of God and breaks it down to instances in your daily life. Using Gods complete armor to defeat sin and win the lords grace.

In this new book Pastor Phil Hopper relates an incident when he was a rookie police officer and arrived at the scene of a robbery without his gun. He realized that by making this mistake he had risked his life and the life of a store clerk and he shares his experience to remind Christians that we often make this same mistake. We go to war "completely unprepared and completely unarmed" against the spiritual battles that rage around us.
"Whether or not you're paying attention to him, the enemy is paying attention to you." This statement from page 26 reminds us that the Evil One never sleeps and Hopper offers stories, illustrations, scripture, and biblical truths to help us recognize and withstand these attacks. The Weapons of Our Warfare will inspire you to devote more time to reading God's Word, it will motivate you to diligently follow His Word , and it will prompt you to increase your time spent in prayer. Pastor Hopper reminds us that "Prayer makes all the armor of God operable and powerful in our lives." We must all be vigilant against the evil that surrounds us each and every day!
There are so many powerful thoughts and statements worthy of being highlighted and I know that this won't be a book that I read once and then set aside. The Weapons of our Warfare is one of the best Christian books that I've read recently and I recommend it for anyone wanting to deepen their Christian walk.

Pastor Phil Hopper’s writing style immediately drew me into the book as he shared one of his experiences as a Kansas City police officer. His time on the police force, as well as being a pastor, gives him a keen perspective in writing this book. He is able to convincingly compare preparation with battling a physical enemy with doing spiritual warfare against Satan.
But this book is much more than about this author’s experiences on the police force. It’s through the Word of God that we find our strength, and Pastor Hopper does a wonderful job of examining the Scriptures and bringing a practical application to our lives.
This book is convicting and inspiring. I wish I could include in this review every quote I highlighted in the book, but that would make this a very long review. I became more aware than ever before of how to take back ground from the enemy of our souls and live a life of victory as a born again believer in Jesus Christ. This book has had a huge impact on my Christian walk in life, and I know that I’m going to be returning to it many times through the years as a source of spiritual encouragement. This is one of the best Christian non-fiction books that I’ve read.

Timely reading
In this day and time, we see the enemy gaining more and more ground in our country and in individual lives. We, as Christians, have to prepare ourselves daily to resist the assaults of the enemy and to take back ground he has stolen from us. We have to become a praying nation if we want God to bless us.
This book will encourage you to take hold of God's Word, let it guide your life and lead you to an understanding of who the enemy really is, and how we can defeat him and gain victory in our lives. I highly recommend it.

Spiritual warfare explained
What a wonderful, clear, realistic and helpful guide to the spiritual warfare going on in every Christian's life and in the world and heavens around us. I will use the insights gained to fight the good fight. This book will be a constant resource for me.

The first half really held my interest. The second half left me thinking that the book could have been much shorter if there wasn't so much repetition.
