The early Sexton Blakes from this 5th series (that started in 1965) are short, easy reads. The action moves along, it’s alternately dark, witty and an insider slice of sixties’ life.

This is a classically structured murder mystery, but with so many suspects, all with possible motives, it’s too hard to solve before the entertaining reveal!
