I was torn between 3 and 4 stars on this one. When I first read it (many years ago) it was one of my favourites in the series. It got me interested in Akhenaton and the myths of Ancient Egypt, and I enjoyed how the story unfolded. Re-reading it, I still enjoyed it although I thought the middle a bit weak and I would have liked more from Dana in the final confrontation. I went with 4 stars in the end because despite it's flaws, it still made me smile, possibly for old times sake.
Girl, you didn’t know he would kill you in your past life, what makes you think he wouldn’t try to do it again this time around?? Kinda boring up until the climax (WHAT a scene!) but not too bad. A classic Dark Forces demonic possession but with an ancient Egyptian flavor to it.
After reading this book I found that this book was fun and what I was expecting was not what I got. I loved to read this book and the supernatural spirits in this book were fun to read. I would recamend to a friend
As an impressionable child, I was drawn in by the cool cover of this book. I then learned that valuable life lesson on not judging a book by it's cover in the literal sense. I remember thinking this book was very "eh". I recall something about the main character being the reincarnated soul of an Egyptian princess and thought that was lame. I have not re-read it yet in my adult years because I can't find a cheap used copy online. In fact, I'm not seeing it listed for anything less than $35.00. No thanks. Just going by memory, this one disappointed.
I read all of the books in this teen horror series over and over in junior high and high school. I'm sure if I read them now I would find them hideous (in the bad way), but because I loved them so much then, I'm giving them all five stars!
