Bethany witnesses what she thinks is a murder while on a blind date with a crooked man and she runs to the police to tell her story thinking that is sufficient and that she can just go on her way without any worries. The FBI puts her in witness protection and she keeps trying to get out of it, not listening to advice, and even visiting her mother at the nursing home, which is a sure way to be discovered and killed. Her handler and fake husband Troy did get personal while protecting her and lost his heart to her, which was against the rules, but he did try to keep her safe and happy. There were several funny moments in this book and the neighbors in their hideout neighborhood were nice, but it was a bit over the top and unbelievable at times.

A woman witnesses a murder and as a powerful family is involved the is put into witness protection, with her bodyguard acting as her husband.
Rubbing along they form a routine and a form of friendship with their neighbors.
The book is insofar interesting as it hints at the psychological stress people in witness protection are put under, how they have to learn to trust people simply because they have no choice.
An unusual romance. At times a little stretched, but all in all a good read, entertaining and enjoyable.

she was finally getting on track - a dream job, mom in a good placement with a care facility for her Alzheimers, and then that crazy blind date. what girl is really impressed by an office - even if it is a corner office?

watching someone get hit and maybe not survive - eek. but is it serious? maybe not as serious as the manly backside she ran into, but break in and scare your cat serious. the start of a beautiful series of frustrations and confusion.

this could be real love - with him and their real neighbors in their fake marriage - if they can survive!

fabulously fun and funny!

Not very serious, very unbelievable

Not very realistic, but still entertaining. I'm pretty sure the US Marshals watch out for the witnesses in protection, not the FBI, but the story has some funny parts, mixed in with the totally outrageous. As long as you are not expecting it to be very serious, it is enjoyable.

What a sweet book. It’s a slow build romance, but perfectly cute and I loved the bits of suspense at the end. I also really enjoyed the friendships Bethany made with her neighbors. There were plenty of moments I laughed out loud! I highly recommend this book and look forward to more books like this one.

I could not put this book down! I laughed so hard, and the drama! Oh my.

Bethany is a spit-fire, and Troy? Well, he's as guarded as they come. I loved that they were put in the witness protection program together. As a married couple!? Things could only get more interesting from there! I will be recommending this book to friends who love sweet-romance, even if they don't love it as much as me. :)

A wonderful and exciting book of love and Triumph. I really think that you will enjoy reading this book. Even when it was over and done with it still stuck with me, remembering aspects of it. So if you're looking for something that has a little bit of suspense a little bit of comedy in it and a whole lot of chemistry, than this is the book you're looking for.

This is a great story. I really liked it! I like the idea of the fake marriage/bodyguard becoming something more than the characters expected.
