Aleisha Maree knew she was going to write... well, since forever.
As soon as she could read, she wanted to be that escape for others.
Words pulled her in and held her tight in a world that captivated your soul and took you on a journey.
She crafts sensual, sexy, tantalizing stories that weave together her love for darkness, pure passion, and most of all human emotions which dance on the cusp of your soul.
She's from the South Island of New Zealand born and raised in a tiny but extraordinary village called Wakefield which holds so much more than her heart.
She now lives in the North Island of New Zealand in another village called Wharepapa South with her husband and 6 kids on a dairy farm.
When she's not consumed by those beautiful humans, she's knee-deep in writing, working on another work of art to captivate your soul and mind. To take you to the edge and back again.
She's a dark soul and introvert who loves nature and water, is insanely in love with coffee and reading.
She can always be found with her family with a book in her handbag and the wind in her hair.
Just keep an eye out for all the loud crazy kids, and she will be like right there!

Love Never Wavered

Aleisha you have written a great short story of your Grandfather Graham and Grandmother Dulcie a love story that never wavered over 50 years. From the start this book grabbed me with the abuse Graham and his brothers was terrible but what his sister went through is unspeakable and there so called father should have been imprisoned for life and same goes for Dulcie and her sister what they endured from there abusive father and brothers who also should have been imprisoned for life. Such a sad beginning of a story that had a happy ending for Dulcie and Graham with a love that never wavered and held each other through their nightmares. This was your Grandparents story and I just so proud that you could write share there Amazing Love story!!! But I concerned about what happened to Grahmans siblings Dennis and Norm, Olive his mother and 2 Sisters why no names mentioned? Also Dulcies sister and Mother again why no names mentioned. We're you ever able to meet your Great Great Grandmothers, Great Great Uncles from both sides? I hope they were able to find love eventually also. I got this short story as an ARC reader but I also book bought the the story for my kindle. I highly recommend this short story for your reading pleasure

What an endearing yet heart breaking true story about the authors grandparents.

Well written and full of emotions.
Graham had to deal with physical and mental abuse from his father. He meets his Dulcie, there was an instant attraction, not knowing that she is dealing with sexual abuse from her brother and father, he tells her he wants to marry her.
This story shows us that no matter what you are going through in your life, if you have that fire and determination inside, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. NEVER give up!!
I cried, reading this book. It was well written. Thank you, Aleisha Maree, for sharing your grandparents story with your readers. I'm sure your grandfather is very proud of you.

What a beautifully told story, you will fall in love with these two wonderfully written characters. You will feel their pain of an unfulfilling life and then their joy of fulfilment right along with them. This is one of those stories that will stay with you long after the last page and you will smile whenever you think of this heartwarming story.

This is such a beautiful story of unconditional love. Graham was tired of the abuse his father dealt out every single day not only to him but his siblings as well so he enlisted in the war. When he returns things have changed, his father now gone but the nightmares remain. When Graham meets Dulice he immediately feels a connection to her and knows she has a horrible past that cause nightmares every night for her as well. He promises to take her away from her horrible life and keep her safe until he takes his last breath. This is truly, truly a beautiful story from page one to the very last word. It makes me believe that true love does exist.

Honey you saved me is a short story in honor of Aleisha Maree's grandparents.

To be honest, it took me about two chapters to really get into the story. However, it was a great, heart warming story that had a lot of strong points. I personally would love to see the short story become a book, with more descriptions, and more "meat and potatoes" in the middle.

To sum it up, it was a nice short story, a quick read, with a background of sadness, seeking a brighter future.

I really liked this short story of a wonderful loving couple.
Such hardships they both endured in their young lives - war, abuse to name a few; but in this case love conquers all. I love when Graham stands up to Dulcie's father and brothers, the chances she takes to be with him.
They deserved their happy ending and the life they lived together. They built a home and had a family to show real love to.
They were really blessed to find each other.

A well written easy to read short romance with nice storyline and plot. Characters well described and likeable. They develop nicely through the book.
It has a slow start but when you get caught up in it it is a nice and sweet story. I feel it lack depth the story and the characters and would have liked it to use the potential it has to be a longer story with lots of details.
A short story that is about love and has a lot of heart in it. The characters change their past to an amazing future and that shows their personality.
Enjoyable read.

This was an absolutely fantastic book and even better to know this was actually based on a true story. So much raw and powerful emotions are portrayed in this book and I think the author did a fantastic job of illustrating how war can affect people.

Such a beautiful story between the 2 main characters and I hope we get to see them again soon in a full-fledged series.

This is a story of how Graham and Dulcie change what was a horrific past for both of them to a sweet everlasting love story. It’s short and sweet and just perfect to let us have a glimpse into the real life love of Graham and Dulcie. Someday I would love to read more about them. Thanks for putting their love on paper for everyone to read.

This a short and sweet story about LOVE! It had me aching for the characters. I will say I wish it was longer, however it was beautifully well written and to know it was about the author's grandparents made it even sweeter for me to enjoy and read. They would be so proud to have this story shared with others to enjoy.

This was a wonderful, heartwarming yet angst filled story of true love overcoming all odds!
I truly wish that Aleisha Maree had added more onto her grandparents story. It was lovingly written and I wanted to know more about them and the way they overcame the adversities and more about the positivities in their life story. Well done Aleisha!

What an amazing story about the love that two people shared. This is a true story that the author wrote about her grandparents. These two people went through some awful things very young in life. It was beautifully written. This is a perfect example that the love and bond people two people can help you get through anything. It's a very short story, but it's very well worth reading.

This is a great book. It is interesting to read this from a point of view other than an American soldier. Great love story but sad to read about all of the abuse. It ended too soon for me. I was hoping it would go on longer. Great read for any military romance lovers. May contain triggers for domestic violence survivors.

This is a short story based on the relationship of the author’s grandparents. This was such a sweet and quick read. It is story of love conquering all. It is the tale of how war can change a person. It is a story of how horrific life can be but somehow love wins in the end. I couldn’t help but be in awe of the love that Graham and Dulcie shared and was reminded of the love of my own grandparents.

A sweet story about the authors parents makes this a more enjoyable read as you know it really happened. While I’d never wish the horrors that occurred on anybody, that fact that love overcame is a powerful message.
Very well written story. The only fault it finished way to quickly

WW2 was a horrible period of time and to know that even a little bit of good has come from it makes things just that little bit better.

A sweet yet also heartbreaking love story. I ached for Graham and all he endured before the war as well as during and after. Dulcie also suffered terrible things in her life that it just seemed so fitting and perfect that two hurting souls could find love and peace together.

It's a very short, impactful story based on the life and love of the author's grandparents. So sweet! I wish we'd seen Dulcie's POV. The story has the potential to be a phenomenal novel!

A Match Made In Heaven by Aleisha Maree is such a lovely, true story- the story of her Aleisha Marie’s grandparents Graham and Dulcie Blackler. This was a wonderful story to read, and the fact that it is a true story made it even better!
What a tale this is- the suffering, hardships, and abuse at the hands of very people who were meant to love you the most- well, it just broke my heart. But there is also a thread of strength, resilience, hope, and ‘love conquering all’ that was woven through this story that made this truly inspirational. It would have been so easy for both Graham and Dulcie to give in to the suffering they endured growing up, and either become shells of the people they could have been – or become deviant, violent, and uncaring monster’s themselves. The fact that they were the incredibly loving, caring people they were, speaks volumes about their strength of character. Yes, things weren’t always easy for them, there were difficult situations to overcome, but through it all their love stood the test of time and overcame all their obstacles.
The story is a very short novella, but it never felt lacking or rushed in any way- but I really would have loved to read a longer version of this story, as I wanted to know so much more about them- and get a bigger ‘window’ into the life and times of such interesting people. I can only imagine how proud Aleisha Maree’s grandparents (and family) would be proud of her, putting so much heart and soul into this story and touching the hearts and minds of the people who go on to read it. Bravo!!!
If you love short, true-life, historical stories- with depth, emotion, and a lovely romance- then this really is the book for you!

Thank you for sharing this heartfelt story with us, Aleisha Maree!!
