Finding your mate is for other people. Look, I’m happy for the success that my buddy’s had with his new dating app, but I think it’s all a bit of hogwash. I’m more invested in flirting with the bartender than any of the dates I’ve been matched with! So imagine my surprise when I see my hot bartender popping up as one of my top matches...
Jonah
I’ve been watching Rob bring his dates into the bar where I work, and honestly? It’s hard to hold back the jealousy. When I let my sister convince me to sign up for the dating app Rob’s been cruising, I’m hopeful that being matched to him might make him take me more seriously. And it does. But there’s just one problem - we’re fated mates... and Rob doesn’t seem to know how to handle that.
A Fighting Chance is a standalone mpreg shifter book featuring a hot new shifter dating app, the consequences of dating your new boss, and of course, a HEA sure to make your heart swoon. This book and every other book in the Hunter's Haven series can be read in any order
Liam Kingsley has a knack for writing captivating mpreg shifter romance with great world building. And this is no exception. It is a fun, steamy and entertaining read with strong protagonists and a plot that feels real.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Hunter's Haven series. In this book, Rob is an alpha of his pack and the rest of his pack are trying to get him to sign up on Garrett's dating app. Rob doesn't want to find his mate, but agrees to use the app to get his pack to stop pressuring him. When Rob is matched with a bunch of bad dates, he decides he can now delete the app. Rob is buying the local bar, the Lone Wolf and he flirts with the bartender Jonah. Jonah has a crush on Rob and thinks he is out of his league. When Jonah learns Rob is on the app, he signs on and is shocked to find he is matched with Rob. Rob decides to ask Jonah on a date and they have a great time. Now Rob owns the bar and Jonah is training him to be a bartender. They begin a relationship of sorts, but Rob won't admit it is a relationship and he refused to talk about them being fated mates. Jonah doesn't know what to do, if he should try to talk to Rob, or break things off before he is too in love with him. I liked this book. I really liked Rob and thought he was hurt by his past and scared to try and be with Jonah. I really liked that Jonah would banter back and forth with Rob and keep him on his toes. I think they were great together and had amazing chemistry. Another good one.
Rob is ok with being a bachelor. He has no problem with random hookups. But when his pack keep bugging him about signing up for his best friend’s new dating app he finally gives in just to get them off his back. But after one disastrous date after another he finds himself enjoying flirting with the bartender at his usual hangout more than the people he’s been on dates with. But when he’s about to give up on the dating app it turns out the same bartender comes up as a match.
Jonah has watched Rob bring in date after date to the bar he works at. He can’t help feel a little jealous. He knows Rob is out of his league with his money but he can’t help but wish he was the one Rob was dating. When Jonah’s sister convinces him to sign up for the same app Rob has, he hopes he’ll come up as a match for Rob, and sure enough he does.
The problem with this match is that Jonah and Rob are fated mates and Rob isn’t sure how to handle it. He can’t get out of his own way to realize how great Jonah is and that he’s exactly what Rob didn’t know he was looking for.
Another great book in this new series. I’m looking forward to see who’s next so they can get a little bit of the teasing they’ve been giving their pack mates.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Rob was badly damaged by the abandonment of his father, and his mother basically shutting down afterwards.
an only child, he held things together, and got to work.
with his own pack, watching his friends with their new mates and pups coming, he finally felt a little alone.
and this silly app his friends made to find mates, he did sign up, but was unlikely to find a match with his circus clown profile.
a real profile brought him to the one man he had been admiring from afar and was too hesitant to consider like that, since he was determined to never be hurt like his mom.
except closing yourself off once you have been open hurts you, and the other party, that much more.
steamy m/m mpreg story.

Alpha Rob joins his friends dating app. and gets matched to his favorite Bartender Jonah. After much hassling Alpha Rob joins his friends app. Mating.Com and seems to get a lot of dud dates. Then his friends find out he had put himself down as a circus clown. They correct the listing and Rob is surprised to find that he comes up with as a match to the bartender he flirts with at his favorite bar Lone Wolf. Jonah has worked at the Lone Wolf in Hunter's Haven since he and his sister moved there three years ago and has noticed Rob as a fairly regular customer like to flirt with him when he comes in but lately he has been bringing in some strange dates. After hearing him say he is on Mates.Com his sister talks him into signing up to the service. A MM MPreg romance to relax and enjoy.

Rob doesn’t really believe in Fated Mates not for himself anyway he believes that it will end in heartbreak but he’s happy for his friends that have found their mates, he tried the dating app just to prove that it doesn’t work but then he see’s the bartender on there that he’s been flirting with lately. Jonah is the bartender who works at Rob’s bar he’s very attracted to Rob but when Rob brings dates to the bar Jonah gets jealous, his sister talks him into signing up on a dating site then he gets matched up with Rob. Both want different things Rob doesn’t want a mate which he believes will end in heartbreak but Jonah wants the whole works family and a white picket fence. Will these two ever catch on that they are fated mates and could either of them ever see eye to eye?. Fantastic story another hit by Liam Kingsley and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Awww... I loved this one! I simply adored these two characters. Looks like this series is going to get better & better. Jonah is one of my fave characters ever! Highly recommend this author. I love his take on mm shifter and mpreg. Comfortable, quick reads but packed with all you might need in this genre. Well written. Very few typos in this Advance Reader Copy. Good balance between heat and drama. Witty and enjoyable banter amongst the supporting characters. What more can I say? I loved it! Liam, you keep up the good work. Can't wait for next in this series! (grabby hands).
All (in series) are standalones. Heat level around 3.5 flames. Limited Profanity. No violence. No villains. Low angst.
Jonah is an omega who loves working as bartender and is secretly hoping for HEA with his alpha. Jonah and Rob has been flirting and interested in each other for a while. When he goes into heat and realise that Rob is his fated mate he's happy. Rob has had a hard childhood and is wary of love, mates and comitment. Rob is both happy and scared when he realise that Jonah is his fated mate. Rob let his fear rule their relationship and when Rob cant commit to Jonah, Jonah break off their relationship. Rob has some issues to work out before this can be HEA. I realy like Jonah and Rob acted like a jerk and hurt his mate more than once because of his fear. The story is good but I found it a bit emotional exhausted to read at times.
Rob had a bad childhood and does not want to see it happen to himself so he is not looking for a mate. Jonah watches Rob every time he comes into the bar. After a lot of badgering one night before a full moon Rob signs up for the Match.com app that his best friend started. Rob messes with it so the matches are not good. Garrett finally fixes Robs account with the correct info and there is a fated mate match. Rob is surprised that his fated mate is Jonah. After spending time together Rob gets cold feet and tells Jonah that he is not ready to be someones mate. Can Rob fix his mistake? What will happen with Jonah?

All Jonah wants is a mate and family, white picket fence and all. When these 2 are matched on mate.com is there any hope. Read this mate .Com story, you will be happy you did.

I couldn’t download this book quickly enough! I truly enjoyed the first book in this series and this latest book didn’t disappoint. Relatable characters Rob and Jonah had just enough troubles from their past to make me root for them all through their journey. It was also fun to reconnect with the characters from the first book - gotta love a bestie who’s ready to call you on crap.
All in all, this book is a whole lotta fun. It’s not too angst-y with plenty of humor. I am happy to be able to recommend this book without hesitation.

Rob is a an alpha who is fearful of finding his mate because of his parents bad mating/marriage. He signs up for mate.com to shut up his friends (creators of the app). In doing so he is matched with the bartender/friend at the bar that he buys. They find that they have chemistry and begin to see each other. You are along for the ride as they fight through their fears, worries to find their HEA. This series is the story of a wolf pack of brother (not by blood but by choice) looking to find their own mates.

A Fghting Chance is the second book in the Hunters Haven series. Jonah is working at the Lone Wolf Outpost bar and really enjoys his job. He especially likes when Rob, the Alpha leader of the Hunters Haven pack comes into the bar and gives him something exciting to look at as he works. Rob has been put on the dating app, mates .com, by his pack mate and second in command , Garrett. Rob really doesn’t want to find a mate and goes in and alters his profile. When Carter, Garrett’s mate, finds out what he did he changes everything back and Rob gets a hit he never expected. A really enjoyable book

Mr Kingsley writes the best series. Delicious! Rob as the Prime Alpha is happy his friends are finding their mates and expanding the pack with children. He has large commitment baggage. Jonah, Omega working in the pub is crushing on Rob. They both signed up with the dating app and surprisingly are matched to each other. They both are gun shy while also attracted to each other. Mr K creates the best MC and Rob and Jonah are engaging while challenging. You are hoping both are willing to store their baggage in lockers and throw away the keys. Excellent story. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
I enjoyed rob and jonah's story and found both characters to be likeable and adorable together. Rob had some insecurity issues and was worried about being left heartbroken or doing the same to someone else so chose to avoid relationships. His friends convinced him to join their dating app and turned out he didnt need it because his match was right in front of him all along. Jonah always had a thing for rob but didnt realize what a perfect match they were until they got to know each other better. This was a cute, fun and quick, happily ever after and fated mates read with plenty of steamy secens. I've enjoyed both books in the series so far.
An alpha wolf is persuaded to give a dating app a trial run - and is matched with the one person he really is interested in - the bar tender from the bar he was negotiating to buy. Scarred by his parents bad example he is afraid to commit and nearly loses his mate in the process. A simple story, no major twists or surprises, but still a nice story, entertaining and leaving the reader with a good feeling all around. A great second book to this series. This time we’re focused on pack leader Rob and bartender Jonah. They’ve carried on a casual flirtation for quite a while, but Rob doesn’t want to date anyone, still hurt over his father leaving his mother when he was younger. But when Jonah comes up as a match on Mates.com, neither can deny their attraction any longer. And when Jonah goes into heat at the bar one night, all bets are off.

Another mating app brings two fated mates together. There is a heat, a connection, and a happily ever after...right? Well, except Rob is afraid of commitment and mating. Will Jonah convince him that fated mates and what he feels is real, or will he just give up on love and move on? There is love, steamy scenes, some humor, and a bit of angst as these two fight for an HEA. Great read, although you will probably want to box Rob's ears at least once.

Engaging Friends to Lovers Shifter Romance! Rob Wilkins, a confirmed bachelor, doesn’t believe in love, or finding a fated mate. The fun begins when he’s bullied into joining the dating app his best friend designed and his ‘match’ is Jonah Andrews, his favorite bartender. Great characters and intriguing storyline filled with plenty of emotion, steamy romance and sweet HEA. Enjoy!
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
Rob is Alpha and signs up for the dating app after his pack continues to question him about it. He sets himself up to fail in the most spectacular way. Jonah is hooked on Rob but does not realize how much until Rob starts bringing dates into the bar where he works. Rob has some serious issues about relationships and being close to anyone. A great read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Rob and Jonah have a great chemistry that gets explosive when Jonah goes into heat. Working together brings them closer but Rob has issues from his past that get in their way. An entertaining story with great characters and a storyline that will keep your interest.

Rob is the Alpha of his pack. He is also afraid of relationships. Jonah is an Omega and works as a bartender at The Lone Wolf. Jonah wants it all, the mate and family. Rob's friends talk him into joining the app Mates.com. Jonah has a crush on Rob and has to see Rob with his dates at The Lone Wolf. Can these two have something together or is there too much baggage? I enjoyed this book.
Rob and Jonah’s story isn’t easy. Both are lot looking for a relationship but when you meet your fated mate there isn’t much that can stop the enviable. Rob and Jonah are meant to be! You will live their happily ever after

As per book 1, book 2 has everything I like: * It was written by Liam Kingsley, one of my favourite authors * A successful CEO who also happens to be an Alpha * An Omega who as strong and power himself * Fated Mates * Omega pregnancy * Not to many roadblocks for them to overcome
Rob is the Alpha of his pack, he has no interest in having a mate, but gives in to the pressure from the rest of his pack and signs up to the Dating App that his pack member Garret has just released.
Jonah is the Bartender at the local Bar that Rob has just purchased. Jonah has been flirting with Rob for years when he has just a customer at the bar.
Jonah watches Rob bring one bad date after another to the bar before learning that he has signed up for the app. This prompts Jonah’s sister to convince him to join the app as well. Surprise surprise they are matched not he app as potential fated mates.
After a few roadblocks, they finally sort it all out :)
This book is book 2 of the Hunter’s Haven Series, it could be read as a standalone book, but fits so well into the series as well. You stay connected with everyone in the pack while also concentrating on Rob & Jonah.
A Fighting Chance is the second book in the Hunter's Haven series, and it is another great book! It was just as good as the first book and can be read as a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading the first book!
Rob Wilkins is a man who has trust and commitment issues. Raised by a single mother, his father abandoned him and his mother at a young age, and he had to take care of his heartbroken, depressed mother after her mate left them.
He grew up watching her live as a shell of her former self. He swore that he would never take a mate, lest he go through the same pain as his mother— then he meets Jonah and discovers the man is his mate. Terrified by this, he tries to protect himself by distancing himself, but it doesn't work. He's fallen in love with him.
Jonah is definitely my favorite. The first sentence in his POV is literally "if looks could kill, I'd be a murderer three times over." He's funny, and I love his inner monologs —especially when he's cursing at people in his head and shit talking them. 😂 The banter between the two mmc Rob and Jonah kept things interesting and entertaining. I loved the book as a whole and will read the next in the series!

I liked the beginning of this book. I understood why Rob was hesitant on the relationship side of things, and I have to admit I found it a little funny that he essentially sabotaged his Mates.com results with false information. Jonah I thought was a sweet character, and I liked his closeness with his sister. I wasn't sure how I would feel about Rob being Jonah's boss when they got together, but it worked well for the characters and the story. The romance was okay, though I wish we had seen a bit more of their interactions so it didn't feel quite so fast. Once we got to the "misunderstanding" though the story faltered for me. I thought that Rob was more than a bit of a jerk and needed to do a bit more groveling to make amends. The was he handled things left the story feeling a bit more "meh" to me. I'm glad they got their HEA, but clearly communication needs to be worked on.
