Explore haunted caverns in a mystery series filled with hidden treasure, ghosts from the wild west, and a sweet friendship that could become something more.Ever since she was a young child, eighteen-year-old Winter has been best friends with the ghost who resides in her family’s caverns. Armed with her friendly ghost, her own fearlessness, and her ability to craft stories that leave listeners spellbound, Winter will get to the bottom of this mystery—and others—to save her home. This collection includes Hollow Wishes, Dark Refrains, and Wicked Regrets—the complete Winter’s Cavern trilogy.
Juliet grew up in northern California, where she spent her free time staring at spooky lakes and making up stories about the old buildings surrounding them. Years later, she still lives in California and she still makes up spooky stories…about lakes and the old buildings surrounding them. Like April in April’s Ghosts, she’s terrified of spiders and she’s obsessed with Hamilton. Like Lissa in June's Blood, she plays the piano...but not very well.

Hollow Wishes (Haunted Halls: Winter's Cavern Book 1)
Great book, really unusual setting. Highly recommended.
Bravo, Bravo, Bravo!
Ms. Vane has followed up her wonderful Blood Flesh Bone Trilogy (trilogy plus one prequel, if you haven’t read it, it is great) with another winner!
Where to start, where to start! Nobody can accuse Ms. Vane of not having a truly different and unusual setting in this new series! What a cool concept! And so well done!
Ms. Vane writes with a style that is nobody else’s but hers, but what she does accomplish with that style can indeed be compared to masters of the writing art. The believability and realism of her characters, particularly the teenagers, reminds me of the work of Christopher Pike, an author of whom I have been a fan for a number of decades.
The book flows very smoothly, never slowing down and never becoming boring. Within it are woven characters and places that very soon come to life. Add in the drama and horror, it becomes a book that more than holds your attention; it demands it.
I found the book to be fresh, original, and just plain fun. I look forward to the sequels.
Dark Refrains (Haunted Halls: Winter's Cavern Book 2)
Another Great Read in an Engrossing Trilogy.
In Dark Refrains, the second book in the Winter’s Cave trilogy, the author proves once again that she has lost none of the magic that made her first trilogy (and prequel) a true pleasure to read. If you haven’t read The Blood Flesh Bone Trilogy and its prequel, it is certainly worth pursuing.
The story flows smoothly with never any choppiness, always captivating and never boring, never forced. The mystery and tension mounts as the different issues all take on a life of their own.
The characters are relatable, and the setting is simply so original and so well presented that the location soon becomes less of an imaginary place and more of a remembered experience.
The “Big Reveal” I never saw coming and was very well presented and did indeed make a logical sense.
I strongly look forward to reading the third book in this trilogy, and, the same way I felt with this author’s first books, I really don’t want the story to end or for the characters to go away. One can only hope…
Wicked Regrets (Haunted Halls: Winter's Cavern Book 3)
A Magnificent Setting for a Fantastic Story!
Once again the author has delivered a great book, a finale to another fine trilogy. This is the seventh book that I have read by this author, and have come to the conclusion that anything she chooses to write, I will read.
In Wicked Regrets Ms. Vane completes the Winter’s Cavern trilogy, explaining all the mysteries that have developed in the first two books.
Ms. Vane does an excellent job of weaving a tale in a setting that is at once both fabulous and very different from anything before it. Her characters are believable, consistent, and very relatable.
This book, like all of her previous books, flows at a very steady rate, never becoming boring or dragging, carrying the reader along to a satisfying conclusion.
As with the first trilogy, I am very sad to see this trilogy end, and know I will miss these characters, and the magical, wonderful setting. But on the plus side, with this trilogy Ms. Vane has shown that she is no One Trick Writer but rather is a very skilled author that can change up characters, settings, and everything involved in casting a story and still provide something that is every bit as enjoyable as its predecessors.
And finally, a plea to the author, “Please don’t make us wait too long for the next story!”
Winter's Cavern is not only a ghost story but has a little mystery mixed into its mist. Winter's Cavern tells the story of a young girl who likes to tell stories and when she was a little girl she asked her mother for permission to work in the family’s business, Lago Caverns where she is a tour guide and she tells stories about people and things that happened in the caverns.
When Winter was telling her stories it was very thrilling and chilling and I got so caught up in it so much so that it was like I could feel the chill in the air running through my bones. Oooh…..oooh…. I can’t wait to see if Winter has more stories to tell us.
Winter is in love with one of the ghost that lives in the caverns. She wants to spend more time with him but he keeps disappearing on her. While he is disappearing other ghosts are showing up and causing a ruckus among the customers. Winter is getting worried about the ghosts and what they may do or is it really ghosts that are causing the entire disturbance?
If you like reading ghost stories or just looking for a great book to read set in an amazing world with great characters then Winter's Cavern: The Complete Trilogy (Haunted Halls: Winter's Cavern) would be that book. One click your copy of today!
I SO enjoyed this series. I don't normally read mysteries but I started reading works by this author and she is becoming one of my favorites. I think this read would make a great mini series. The plot of dark caverns, ghosts and a legend of a treasure is a great mix. I wish this concept were practiced at my state's caverns. The characters are interesting and read is clear and easy to imagine. I couldn't put it down because I had to know what came next. And now that the complete series is available there's no waiting for the next book. I rated this five starts because I would read it again. Thank you for sharing your talent! Your work shows that you love what you do!!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I loved this trilogy. Three best friends and a special ghostly friend. Winter loves a ghostly boy and he loves a girl. Winter is also the story teller of the caves and also take you on an adventure, that I didn't want to end. Juliet writes such beautiful stories and this set is no exception. Wonderful, heart touching and a great adventure.
Not as well written as the Rosebud Academy trilogy, which I really liked. The story just left me with...why... Why would people pay to hear a girl tell stories in a cave? Why would her friends' family make so much money from theirs? And the whys go on and on. Didn't ever really connect with any of the characters, and never crossed into the suspension of disbelief through all three stories.
