A masterpiece! It is still early and requires a wider discussion on the merits of the results presented, but it may be a definite piece in the Economics Literature and the philosophy of science in general... I have a lot of thinking and reflecting to do. I appreciate the fact that this work found me at the right moment.

In An Introduction to Ergodicity Economics, Peters and Adamou lay out their case for a new conception of economics. They begin with the math behind ergodicity economics and transition into how rethinking economics through the lens of ergodicity would transform how we think about some of the most pressing economic problems.

Seen in this lens, Peters and Adamu argue that many of the problems in modern economics disappear once we understand them through the lens of ergodicity including much (if not all) of behavioral economics, the St. Petersburg Paradox, and the equity premium puzzle. More than that, ergodicity economics gives an essential tool for thinking through problems as large and diverse as inequality, insurance, and asset allocation.
