A sweet, old-fashioned medical romance. Published in the 80s but it does read as though it was written a decade or two earlier.

This was a nice story between Hester the nurse and James Jarvis the doctor. Throughout the story we are made to believe through Hester that James loves her sister Caroline who was James’s colleague 10 years ago and still she held a soft spot for him. Hester tries to act as a Cupid to bring them together but she herself falls for James. Later she comes to know that Caroline had no such feelings and she is in love with a local vet. James is in love with Hester right from their first meeting and finally proposes her.
I liked the writing by this author and though some scenes were a drag and the story had many boring unwanted characters.
