Kaylee knows art, friendship, and love. And because she’s known love, she wants nothing to do with it ever again. She likes her life just the way it is. Her art and her Brushes with Lushes classes keep her sane and happy.

Landon spends his days with numbers and financial spreadsheets. At night, he just wants to relax, but the only way he can do that is with a woman. But these days, not just any woman will do.

Kaylee and Landon do an excellent job of dancing around each other, but no matter how much desire burns between them or their own personal hang-ups, they’ll need to make a choice: life as they know it, or a life that could be so much more.

I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
It was a great book !
Kaylee and Landon had an one night stand.
They decided to stay friends so as not to disrupt the status quo.
Now Kaylee wants more from Landon.
Now Landon wants more from Kaylee.
Will these 2 figure out that they are perfect for each other ?
Loved the characters + the storytelling!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Ink by Numbers is a great addition to the Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs series. There have been teasers in the other books about Kaylee and Landon so while it was short (too short!!) it was great to finally get the behind the scenes scoop on these 2 characters. Looking forward to what the author has in store for the Montgomery's next.

New Canvas!!!

Kaylee Chambers whom we've met through our the series. She was a divorcee who came from a privileged family but she turned her back on that world years ago. She was still considered as a disappointment in her mother's eyes. She gave art classes at night (Brushes with Lushes) once a month. She knew art, friendship and love, the latter was something she didn't want anything to do with again. She loved her life just the way it was so why couldn't she stop thinking about the sexy as sin Adonis broker, Landon.

Landon, a broker who spent his days with numbers and at night he wanted to relax. The only way he knew was with a woman, he had his sight on a special one. She was beautiful, sassy, independent and her name was Kaylee Chambers.

Kaylee and Landon were great at dancing around each other, they both gave in into their mutual attraction once. Bug things didn't work out because of their own misgivings. They remained closed friends even though they wanted something more. But first they had some tough decisions to make regarding what a future together could be like.

INK BY NUMBERS is a novella in Carrie Ann Ryan's MONTGOMERY INK: COLORADO SPRINGS series. It was intoxicating, sensual and oh so irresistible. Magnificent job by Ms Ryan. I recommend you all to grab yourselves a copy and enjoy the ride! 5++++

As I finish this book, I literally have chills! This was an absolutely beautiful short romance, that really touched something inside me. It's a novella length story set in the MI: Colorado Springs series. We get to visit with some of our favorite couples from previous stories, catching up on their lives.

Kaylee has a past that she is trying to forget. One that doesn't make her happy. But she has a present that she is working on, and friends who are pulling her closer to that elusive happiness. She has always struck me as a person who works hard to bring joy to others. There is so much going on with Kaylee! So much hurt, it just makes my heart weep for her!

Landon, on the other hand, is just confused. I have to say, he wasn't my favorite male character, because he gives the impression of not wanting to get involved in a relationship just so he can keep playing the field. Of course, as the story unraveled, and I learned more about him, I found him to be a very sweet guy.

This is an emotional, quick read. As with all of the MI stories, be prepared for a roller coaster of feelings, and look forward to turns you never even saw coming. I loved the tender moments, the connection and the absolute pure love between Kaylee and Landon. It's perfect and beautiful! There really is no other way of putting it! I absolutely loved this story!

Kaylee comes from a wealthy family and always did what was expected of her which included marrying her now ex-husband. She now owns an art store and has built the life she wants with a great group of friends including Landon and the Montgomery clan.

Landon and Kaylee have become best friends and spend a lot of time together. A year ago, they crossed the line for one night but decided that would be it as they didn’t want to destroy their friendship. A year later they can’t stop thinking about each other or that night. Are they finally willing to admit what everyone else in their circle of friends know and that is that they belong together?

Short and sweet it was great to get some insight into Kaylee and Landon and spend some time with the characters that we know and love.

Book 3.5 of the Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs Bonus book by Carrie Ann Ryan
Kaylee is a artist that own and runs Brushes with Lushes where all the ladies is this series go to paint while drinking wine.
We’ve been teased for books now about Landon and Kaylee’s relationship but not a lot of depth to it.
You actually don’t know much about Kaylee until this book, she’s a rich kid that decided she didn’t want a loveless cheating husband, so she left and went with her dream and became an artist.
Absolutely love that Kaylee is so much more then the timid artist that you come to know so far in series. She’s sassy and funny and I love when she phones Landon and demands he take her for sushi.
Gutted this isn’t a longer book because I was loving the story so much. Great story and HEA.

Ink by Numbers is a short, sweet novella by Carrie Ann Ryan. It follows the story of Kaylee and Landon, two characters you met and see a lot of in the other Montgomery siblings books. It is quick and steamy look into the development of their relationship and how they are navigating possibly becoming a couple. They are both great and likable characters and I’m glad we a got a small glimpse into what made them the people they are today. It was a good read..I would have liked a little longer book but it was still enjoyable.

This one was short, but it didn’t need to be long Kelsey and Landon have been dancing around each other for so long that they just had to wake up to the fact that they did in fact want each other. When they finally acknowledge how they felt it was a done deal with all the Montgomery’s gloating, happy that they found happiness together.

ARC REVIEW

Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #3.5, Kaylee and Landon have been building their non-relationship "off screen", basically, for the last three books. This one is a short and sweet story of them finally realizing they mean more to each other than just friends. When they first met neither were in a good place to start anything more than friendship but gradually their feelings have gotten much deeper and once they give into the temptation there is no turning back.

Overall, this was a quick and lovely read. For those of us who have been waiting for this book since the beginning of the series it was very satisfying. I would recommend for new readers, you learn more about Kaylee and Landon than in any of the other books. I would almost complain that it was too short but it worked.

Who doesn’t want to know what’s happening with Kaylee and Landon?!? Are they or aren’t they?! It’s been 4 books and we finally get the answers we’ve all been looking for. I felt this novella was entirely too short for this couple’s story. There were several topics touched upon (both parental units/families, Kaylee’s ex-husband) that were skimmed on, without terribly much explanation or depth to those relationships. There was some steam, but it was only at the end. This story felt rushed and ultimately, left more questions than explanations for this reader. 3.5/5

I needed more! I loved the lead up to Ink By Numbers in the previous novels featuring the Montgomerys of Colorado Springs. Timing can be everything and it seems the time was right for them to be honest with themselves and each other. Another beautiful love story from Carrie Ann Ryan and can't wait for Liam's story and meeting the rest of the Boulder Montgomerys.

Short, sweet and to the point.

Together at last. Finally!

Kaylee and Landon have been doing a slow dance around each other that each are about to combust. I love the journey they took to get where they are. Just goes to show that slow and steady does indeed win the race!

Ink by numbers is an insight to Kaylee and Landon’s story. If you have read any of the previous Montgomery books you would have read about Kaylee and Landon, well now it’s time to get to know them better. This book is a short novel but it is still jammed packed full of goodness. Another successful book by Carrie Ann Ryan. Thank you for always bring us so much enjoyment with your words.

Kaylee and Landon had tried the relationship angle in the past but in order to protect the friendship bond they have, they thought it would be in their best interest to stay as friends. But how are they supposed to stay friends when they can’t stop thinking or wanting to be together.

Kaylee did what was expected of her, she married the man her mother wanted her to, even though neither her or her ex loved each other. But when keeping her mother happy wasn’t enough, it was time for Kaylee to do what was best for her. Kaylee moved, made friends with the Montgomery’s and their spouses and Landon, opened her art studio and painted.

Landon loves woman, the way they feel, look and smell, but only one woman is constantly filling his mind but she isn’t his. Kissing Kaylee might have been the stupidest thing to do after they both agreed to stay friends, or it might have been the thing to open the door and communication between them.

Very enjoyable read, but I did find it to be a little to short, as I believed there were a few topics that we touched base of but never got the full picture of. I am hoping that Kaylee and Landon will eventually get a full length novel as I would like to find out more about his and her family, and Kaylee’s the ex-husband.

Such a sweet story, I wish it was longer. That is the hardest thing with novellas for me is I always want more! If you have read the three Colorado Springs books you already know Landon and Kaylee, they have been dancing around each other for a while. If you haven't read them you don't need to, this is a great story on its own.

Landon is a hunky often broody financial planner. Landon's upbringing probably had a hand in his career choice as his parents and family members always seemed to live paycheck to paycheck or well above their means which landed them in financial trouble. That being said he is also the only one of his siblings to make something of himself which had caused a little resentment in his family.

Kaylee is an artist she owns a studio in Colorado Springs and once a month has a Brushes with Lushes evening where people can come paint, drink some wine and have a good time. Kaylee's life has been the opposite of Landon's her family is well off and she has never wanted for anything in her life expect maybe a mother that wants her to be happy. Kaylee's parents put big expectations on her, not only was she to marry well as to further the family in their social standing they didn't think her art was something she should pursue.

Landon and Kaylee have kept their relationship private and on a friendship basis for over a year now and something has to give. They have become accustomed to each other always being there but never taking that last step to propel them into relationship status. That's about to change.

Size isn't everything and this one packs so much in!
This maybe a short read - but it packs a punch. They have been dating for over a year - even if they didn't call it that - but they were allowing their bruised hearts to catch up to their bodies and dreams.
This short novella is perfect in every single way -it is perfect for Landon and Kaylee and sooooo them.
Carrie Ann Ryan writes romances that are REAL and make you feel. None of that mushy lovey dovey romance that is so sugary it'll give you type 2.....oh no, her love is gritty, earthy, argumentative and doesn't fit into a box with a tick .... sex between friends should be emotional, should be complicated and should be awkward as hell afterwards - especially when you desperately need and want to lick every inch of each other all over again.
And OMG some mother's are a nasty piece of work and Kaylee's mother is a masterpiece (know from experience) and Landon's offer to kick her cane is a valid one.....however I say use said cane to beat some manners and common decency into her is a better one! (I'm NOT channelling my mother issues here - I swear ;)
I loved popping in and having a catch up with my friends the Montgomerys and their families and heart families. It's better than any tv show!
Go on, chill for a couple of minutes and have a cuppa and a brilliant little book!

I loved this book! My only complaint is that I finished too quickly! I'd long been interested in Kaylee and Landon, Kaylee from Brushes with Lushes, and Landon from hanging out with the guys, buts especially from Carter and Roxy's book. Their relationship, or non-relationship, was curious.

They were the two lone single members left of their little group, and the others thought they were together. And they were, kinda. They were friends, had tried being lovers once, but went back to being friends when it didn't work. But did they really? There was something there, everyone except the two of them saw it. The chemistry, the caring, they did have it and it was getting harder for them to keep pretending that what they were was only friends.

It was only a matter of time. And when they did decide that enough was enough, they got back together and it was wonderful. Like I said, I just wish the story were longer. I felt cheated in that we came in after the relationship had already started. I mean, we did see it in previous Colorado Springs books, but I wanted more. I'm just spoiled though. I love the authors character development and since these were secondary characters, and we know them already, I didn't get it in this novel. I do know them, though, so it's all good.

I'm just ready for more full length Montgomery novels, and can't wait .... :)

Carrie Ann Ryan sweeps readers off their feet with the latest installment of the Montgomery Ink, Colorado Springs series with Ink by Numbers.

If you have been reading the Montgomery's of Colorado Springs you have gotten to know a little bit about Kaylee and Landon. Kaylee is the lovely and creative owner of Brushes with Lushes. Kaylee has a past I wasn’t expecting but that past helped mold her into the pretty awesome person she has become. Landon is a solid friend of the Montgomery’s and a numbers nerd. The hottie of a man has been a in a rut with his life. Over the course of the Colorado Springs spin off of The Montgomery Ink series we have seen Kaylee and Landon have dance around the chemistry they create. Are they or not, has been a running question for many. Even them. Now we get their story.

Ink by Numbers is a quick, emotional and sweet short story. Kaylee and Landon are so good for each other, it just takes them a while to get there. The romance is slow but once the flame is on, there is not stopping the two. The things we learned of both Kaylee and Landon give such insight to whom they are. Ms. Ryan filled in the blanks for all those questions we had of Landon and Kaylee.

What a great novella about Kaylee and Landon who have been circling each other in other books in the Montgomery Ink: Colorado Spring series. Katie is an artist who heads the Brushes with Lushes classes that the Montgomery women attend faithfully. Landon is always there for his friends but finds himself unhappy with his job and life. Kaylee and Landon gave into their attraction but decided to go back to being friends. Kaylee and Landon have unbelievable chemistry together. Landon and Kaylee struggle with their feelings for each other. Are Kaylee and Landon willing to put their friendship on the line and give into their passion again? Have Kaylee and Landon grown enough as individuals and moved past their issues to make their relationship work the second time around? Inked by Numbers will take the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride through Kaylee and Landon's journey to becoming a couple. Inked by Numbers made me laugh out loud, cry, and want to bang my head in frustration. I LOVE Carrie Ann Ryan! I would highly recommend getting Inked by Numbers by Carrie Ann Ryan. Great little novella in the Colorado Springs series. I received an ARC of this story, and I am leaving my honest review.

May I say that I love the Montgomery clan, no matter what city they are in and can I find a “Brushes With Lushes” class somewhere close by?

In this novella Kaylee Chambers is an artist, a business woman and a big disappointment to her mother. She divorced a cheating husband and she is ... OMG ... working with her hands. How terrible! She will stick to art and friendship, so why does Landon keep tugging at her heart.

Landon knows numbers and he knows families can be a pain, but the one thing he finally comes to realize is that Kaylee is the one for him. She might not have been ready when they first met but he's hoping that somehow she would come to him and feel the same love.

Ink by Numbers is a novella that will grab you by the heart as you watch these two dance around one another until they realize friendship is good but Love is so much better. Carrie Ann Ryan knows how to give her readers a sweet yet very steamy romance that leaves us with the warm fuzzies. Cannot wait for the next offering of this talented writer.

This is a quick novella so that we could have Landon and Kaylee's story! We have seen snippets of the 2 in previous books and I know I wondered if they would actually get together or if they would each have a story later down the road. This book gave us their background and how these two actually move past the point of being best friends and move into the love of each other's life part. I loved it! Landon is beyond sweet but he also can push when he needs to. He is a man that isn't afraid to do the things he needs to in order to be happy. Even if that means he may lose the friendship of the person who matters the most to him. Kaylee has some issues that she had to work through but she is strong and is an amazing character not only in this book but in all of them. And these 2 are HOT together!! Joe Arden does an amazing job with the narration. There aren't any strange accents or any weird wording. Which is great because that tends to throw me off! As always with the novella's, I wish it had been longer but I can't complain because it was still an amazing read!
