Boom!: The Life and Times of a Suicide Near Death Experiencer

Rate this book
This is the true story of how I tried to kill myself only to learn to love myself and be happy because my near death experience (NDE) was the best thing that ever happened to me. My NDE amazed me. I didn’t think such things were possible. I never expected to meet God or those I call my guardian angels, but I did. And I never expected to be able to communicate with my guardian angels on an ongoing basis as a result. BOOM! is the true story of my life before and after my NDE from jumping out of a moving car. BOOM! also includes insights and guidance from my guardian angels on the spiritual realms and how to improve our lives on earth. ---CHRIS BATTS is a para educator and para translator for special education children. He lives in southern California. He spoken about his near death experience at the International Association for Near Death Studies conference. “Chris Batts' memoir is an engaging read and will appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds. I am moved by this story because it brings great light and hope to our world. Chris shows us how the power of God’s unconditional love and the angelic realm can bring positive changes into our lives. As an educator, I applaud him for bringing awareness and healing to common societal issues, including child abuse and addiction. The characters in this book are well-developed, and the story is fast-paced, authentic, and uncommon.” TRICIA BARKER, PROFESSOR, NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCER, AND AUTHOR OF ANGELS IN THE OR

I read this book in two days. It was an easy read and I found myself wanting to hug the little Boy Chris in the beginning. I can’t imagine living the way he did..
The book was to the point and explained well - why he did what he did.
As for the NDE, it made sense according to what I experienced as well. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Voice of young gang member not often heard in this genre

This was a very well written account of the author’s experience without the usual new age BS doctrine/must-do exercises/meditations/other silly “requirements to achieve enlightenment” thrown in to fill up the pages to make the book longer so the publisher can charge more money for it.
The author is so direct and honest. His feelings about the state of the world and his confusion about our part in it reflected my own feelings and I believe in the peace he now lives. I believe we can all tap into this peace if we just better how to listen. This author greatly helps to learn that simple (but elusive) skill by showing example after example from his own life.
Highly recommend.

Fantastic NDE account

I really liked the honest recounting of Chris's heartbreaking childhood and adolescence. His NDE was so sweet and touching, I felt like his angels were right there next to me.
Loved It!

Inspiring

This story is similar to other NDE books I have read which makes it all the more authentic. I am happy that Chris found peace love after his traumatic life before his NDE, I hope he goes on to have a very happy life.

This book taught me how to be a better person.

Chris Batts shares the universal laws of spirituality in a completely honest and unpretentious report of the lessons he learned from God, his guardian angels, and his NDE. I needed to hear the reminders in his book and so do you.

Awesome book

Wow, Chris has been through so much in his young life. He persevered through it all, though, despite the tremendous ups and downs. You definitely need to read his story!

Great Storyteller

I really enjoyed this book. As a NDEr I could truly empathize with what he learned, especially discernment. People don’t want to believe your story because truthfully it is impossible to explain in human words. I definitely recommend this book to other NDErs.

A Inspiration

A great story of a young man who was abused as a child but through his trial and NDE experience turned his life around. Love his story!

Just by the first chapter I sense that the author is both highly intelligent and intuitive. I know it will be a good read. Is it permissible to update “what I think” as the book evolves?
