Proving that passing Daiki was no fluke, Tak wins his race. Now it's up to K.T. to keep up the momentum as he takes on Toudou's "Smiley" Sakai. They call the guy "Smiley," because in the heat of battle his face scrunches up into what might be deceptively described as a grin. Sakai's smile quickly fades, though, when K.T. beats him in their race. After this defeat a long absent member of the Toudou team comes back to defend the team's sullied reputation... a member so tough that even Kyoichi calls Ryosuke to warn him.

Shuichi Shigeno (Japanese author profile: しげの秀一) is a manga artist, best known for the manga series Initial D. Shigeno has also created Bari Bari Densetsu, Dopkan, and Tunnel Nuketara Sky Blue ("First Love in Summer") all prior to the manga that would make him famous in 1995. In 1985, he received the Kodansha Manga Award in shōnen for Bari Bari Densetsu.

By this time, the series has started to become repetitive. I guess I have reached a point where I could live without it and I desperately need the shelf space. So this is going to the Culling.

I liked the dynamic of having KT fall for this girl while the race was going on, the random sex pun chapter was random. The plan to destroy Project D interests me, I wonder what car they’ll use, also Tak finally owns the eight six, yippee
