I think this is my least favorite of the series so far. Somehow I was a bit bored and uninterested in the characters.
And once again some things didn't add up. Like Ace saying he hadn't spoken to his cousin Jay in years, but he talked to him in the previous book. And it is mentioned that Ace hadn't checked up on Jay in a month and a half, but apparently they hadn't seen each other in 16 years.
I was also suprised Jay spent 17 years on the streets. That was a bit much. Kicked out when he was 16, then I get that he'd do anything to survive. But since he wasn't a drug addict I couldn't quite understand why he was still living on the streets after all those years.
Also I hated how the author kept the ages of these guys vague. Like when people heard Jay had been kicked out when he was 16, they all asked how old he was now. But every time the answer was, around our age. But I don't think it was mentioned how old they all were! Or perhaps in the first book, but then I forgot. Later on it is mentioned that Jay lived on the streets for 17 years, but that was only near the end.
So while I like the town and the people, and the hurt/comfort parts are kind of interesting, the writing it what stopped me from enjoying this more.
Cute quick easy read. Pretty straightforward story no mystery to it. One kind soul helping another soul to heal a few wounds. This was my first book in the series.
I really got into this book. I felt Jay’s pain and could understand Corey’s need to protect. Both come with heavy baggage that they must overcome. Corey’s is buried so deep, he seems to be buried with it. Jay’s baggage is heavy and he hates himself for the things he had to do in order to survive. They make a great couple and Corey’s nurturing ways help save Jay and he gets him the help he needs to deal with his problems.
mmm, not sure how this novel can get a 4,5 star average. I find it nothing special.
And I don't believe an ER doctor does not know a homeless gay boy on the street for 15 years might have been a prostitute. Come. On!
But my biggest problem was with the narrator. Although Jay's voice is called warm, smooth, sexy or whiskey, the narrator chose something different. A high whining tone, annoying from the first minute. If Yay's sentence didn't end in a wail, it ended in a croak. Horrible.
Jay is Ace's cousin and comes to live with him after being on his own for many years. He's been through a lot after being kicked out from his family when he was a teen and being homeless for a long time. He's afraid and skittish, but Corey is so patient and soothing to him. I loved listening to Jay come into his own and grow stronger and stronger. He was a great, resilient character.
I liked this narration much better than the last book. Perhaps it was that I am now used to the voice, or perhaps it was because we didn't have as much Tyson in this book to annoy me (because of his voice, not because of the character--I LOVE Tyson). Either way, this was much more enjoyable for me. I'm looking forward to the next book!

✔ Letto! Per me è ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤.
Corey and Ty had supportive parents when they came out. Some of their friends, and now some of their extended family of friends and officers, were not so lucky.
Ryder and Ace got together after meeting through work - and after Ace came to terms with it being ok to be himself, and working with other officers who were out, open, and supportive .
Ace came from a really conservative family background, and his parents had disowned hi when they heard from his fellow officers in Denver that Ace might be gay.
As he settled in to life in Harlan, and into his life with Ryder, he sought out his cousin Jay, who had been kicked out by his parents at age 16 when he had admitted the truth.
Jay did not fare as well as Ace - he was on the streets at 16, working in a diner, when he was forced to do other things to support himself. He was lucky not to have also gotten hooked on drugs, and even luckier to have avoided getting any STDs.
But there was no stale environment for him - even all these years later. Jay was very grateful when Ace reached out, and offered Jay a place to stay, with Ace and Ryder in Harlan.
A fresh start - but scars. When Jay met Corey, older brother to Ty who used to babysit Ryder, Gavin, et al - instant spark.
Lots of hurdles to overcome for these two to get together, but a promising future ahead, if they can both let go of past pains, and focus on future happiness, and now good things.
A sweet second chance at life, hope for a real love story.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the For You series. In this book, Ace's cousin Jay has moved to Harlan and is trying to recover from his traumatic past. Jay is gay and when he came out at age 16, his family disowned him and left him homeless. Jay had to do a lot of things to survive and now suffers from PTSD. Corey is a doctor and when he first meets Jay, he is drawn to him and wants to help him. Jay goes to the coffee shop with Ace to meet friends and when he starts to panic, Corey helps him calm down. Corey is determined to help Jay and continues to join him at the cafe and soon they become friends. Corey has his own issues from his past he has to deal with, but he is more interested in helping Jay. When Jay asks Corey to dinner, Jay can't help but wonder why Corey isn't interested in him. Corey explains he was scared of pushing too far with Jay and what he was comfortable with. Corey and Jat settle into a relationship and Corey helps Jay get help from a doctor he knows from work. Everything is going well until Corey has to face his own issues. I thought this was a great story. I love how strong Jay was and how he overcame so much to find happiness. Corey was s o supportive of Jay and really cared for him. I love how they helped each other and how they connected to each other. Another good one from this series.
This was a emotional, cute and sweet m/m romance. This was about two men who were both able to give each other just what the other needed which was love, support and comfort.Corey had suffered a lot when he lost his boyfriend nick to suicide and was still suffering to this day but then he met Jay and felt like he could finally let go of his past and the guilt he carried for years. Jay had a rough life ever since he was thrown out of him home for being gay and coming out to his parents and he had to do whatever it took to survive and everything he did to survive wasn't things he was proud of and has a hard time with all the shame and nightmares that came with it.He finds his caring cousin who helps him get his life together and meet a caring attractive doctor who doesn't see him for his flaws or his past and is able to see the good in him that he himself had a hard time seeing. I really enjoyed this one and it had some emotional moments when each character struggled with their own inner demons and haunting pasta but each charcter was able to slowly over come these things together. I read this one pretty quickly and feel that it was very well written. I could feel these characters emotions and pain in the authors words and felt like I was right there with them.
This is a gripping tear-jerker that will make you cry, laugh and smile. Corey is warm, caring, gentle, patient and romantic. Jay is fragile, vulnerable, brave and strong. A few weeks after Ace rescues him from the street, Jay agrees to leave the house for the first time and they meet Ryder and Ty. Corey is also there when they walk in. Corey looked over and was snagged in Jay's eyes, while Jay was snagged in his. Corey could see the fear and hollowness in Jay's eyes and even though he was incredibly attracted to him, knew he needed support, not a romantic relationship. Jay couldn't stop peeking at Corey, even though he made Jay nervous, because he thought that Corey was the most attractive man he had ever seen, and that scared him. With lots of support and friendship Jay came out of the dark, and he and Corey grew close. His story is traumatic and sad, and so is Corey's, just not in the same way. Corey and Jay are an adorable couple. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
When Corey meets Jay he is attracted but knows he must give the damaged man some space. When Ace brings his cousin Jay to Sit and Sip Corey is attracted but realizes he has been damaged by life and all he needs at the moment is space to heal and friends to be there when needed. The more time he spends with Jay the more he becomes attached but must hold back and let Jay find his way in his own time. Jay had been kicked out of his home at sixteen and has struggled doing whatever he needed to survive ever since which has left him emotionally damaged. His cousin Ace brought him back to his house and is trying to help him adjust to life now he is off the streets but meeting his friend Corey was not something he expected. A MM romance to relax and enjoy.

Jay moves to Harlan to live with his cousin. Jay is trying to rebuild his life, after hitting some very low points. Jay stays inside Ace's house a lot. Jay finally leaves and goes to meet Aces friends. Corey is the oldest of the group and used to babysit all of the younger kids. Corey is a doctor now and also works with the abuse victims. Corey help Jay through a panic attack. Jay slowly starts to trust Corey. Jay agrees to talk with one of Corey's coworkers. As Jay improves and is able to feel things and do things without having as many panic attacks, Corey is unsure how much to share about his past. Can Corey open up about his past and let Jay into his heart? Will Jay be strong enough to follow his dreams?

OMG what an emotional heartbreaking story I bawled like a baby and I had such a lump in my throat with these characters. Jay was kicked out of his family’s home as a teenager for being gay, he was only 16 years old living on the streets. Jay worked at a coffee shop but it wasn’t enough money so he had no choice but to sell his body. Ace his cousin took him off the streets and offered Jay a place to stay at his home in Harlan, Ace took Jay to a coffee shop to meet up with some friends but then Jay had a panic attack and Corey one of Ace’s friends help calm him down. There is a strong attraction between the two but they both have issues that they need to sort out first before they can have a relationship. Wow amazing story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
This is a truly beautiful book that took me through many ranges of emotions. Jay and Corey are both spectacular characters who both tugged at my heartstrings. Corey hasn't gotten over his pain of loss from his past and Jay can't get over all the things he did to survive after his father kicked him out of the house. Corey's patience, kindness, and understanding with Jay is remarkable and finally helps Jay to start accepting his past and move on. Jay's love for Corey helps Corey finally put his past loss behind him and move on. Corey and Jay are beyond beautiful together and I love watching them as their relationship blooms. The narrator did a great job with the story and the characters. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.
Jay is so traumatized when he first meets Corey and everyone else in Harlan. He has spend the last 15 plus years fighting to stay alive.
When Corey sees the damaged man for the first time his heart skips a beat. And he can see the man is haunted and all he wants to do is help him get his light back.
Corey will do anything to help Jay and also maybe heal his own heart after all these years. I have loved all the books in this series but this one is definitely my favourite. But I have a feeling that Jaime and Beck’s story will be epic. And I can’t wait to read about their road to a happily ever after.
Jay kicked out at 16 for being gaya and having to survive on the streets of Denver, years later broken and beat down by life, he reconnects with a cousin. His cousin Ace invies him to stay with him in Harlen. Corey a Dr. in a Denver hospital lives in Harlen, an is still in limbo from a horror in his own past is a.close friend of Ace's. He meets Jay and wants to help. This is their story of recovery, PTSD, and making peace with the past and moving on. Great characters and a thought provoking story, that will keep you captivated.

Great story by J.P. Oliver. Jay and Corey meet in a little town called Harlan (outside of Denver). Corey is an ER doctor in Denver and Jay is trying to survive daily life. Jay lives with is cousin while trying to pull his life back together, while suffering panic attacks. Corey and Jay meet through mutual friends and the attraction is instant. You get to watch them slowly build a friendship, romance and relationship while battling inner demons and troublesome sad pasts. You will truly love reading this book and seeing them get their HFN.

This is the third book in the series, and I can honestly say I have read books 12 and three in a row. I love these stories. They are sweet and they are short and they are spicy. Each one has a main character that struggles, and of course, the other main character, who is there to help heal him, but who also needs healing himself. Once they make the decision now they are both all in and the heat gets turned up. There is no internal angst. There is no I wish I could but I can’t. There is just sweet, slow burn, and beautiful healing together.
Jay is full of fear and anxiety from past traumatic events. Corey is a natural nurturer but does not realize that he too needs healing. Their journey is heartbreaking and uplifting, it is full of emotions, wonderfully supportive friends, tenderness, compassion, guilt, grief, tears, healing, passion, a deep, loving connection, and a hard earned HEA. I absolutely recommend this book and this series!

This is a great series, and every book I read just gets better and better. Trigger warning abuse, PTSD, prostitution, homeless. Jay has moved in with his cousin Ace, after Ace got him of the street. Jay has a lot of issues and anxiety baggage, and falls for Corey who's a doctor and Tylers brother. Corey does a lot to help Jay and falls fast in love with him but there is a lot of issues to work trough. This is a sweet, lovely and heartbreaking book, with a lot of glimt of Jays hurtful past.
this is a sweet MM romance with some touchy subject matter that will have you reaching for your tissues, and cheering the couple on as they work toward their HEA. this has a great bunch of characters who are the best of friends that support one another in tough times and will have you falling in love with them all.

This was the perfect sequel. I was so excited to read about Jay's story. I had tears I think half the time reading it and my heart broke. I loved it. Jay and Corey were perfect together. The strength of starting over and learning to trust again. Nicely written and worth taking the time to read.

All For You by J.P. Oliver is a heartwrenching story of Jay, who gets kicked out of his house at 16 for coming out that he is gay. He has to do things he is not proud of to survive, and has to deal with PTSD. The book will give you all the feels and will make you cry at points. Such a great story!

I really got into this book as I had similar experience. Mine did not have the romantic ending. I had a three year relationship with a Navy Flight Instructor. When he was transferred to a new duty station he moved on and out of my life. I became clinically depressed with the hospitalization and over a year of therapy. So this story really hit home for me
3 stars at the most. I found the characters and the plot both just ok in this one compared to the others. I wasn't feeling the chemisty and couldn't connect to the characters and I found the plot uninteresting. This one is even shorter than the others. The plot is rushed along and lots happens off page or is implied and the instalove is super fast and intense and just unrealistic.

Jay was kicked out of his house when he was sixteen after he came out. He's led a rough life and now his cousin asked him to come to Harlon and live with him. Corey is a doctor who feels guilty about his past. Can these two find happiness? I enjoyed this book.
