Carson is an alpha with a certain type. He likes omegas in heat. It's not an unusual fetish, but it's definitely an expensive one. Since finding unmated omegas in heat in bars is practically impossible, he has to pay for his pleasure.
Willy is a bit of a late bloomer. At nineteen, he's only recently lost his virginity and still isn't sure what all the fuss over sex is about. So when he gets an offer to force a heat for one of Omega For Hire's best customers, he doesn't think much of it. Just because he's never been in heat before shouldn't make any difference in how he handles this client.
And at first it doesn't. But when one night leads to three, they both know something more than paid fun is happening between them.
Heat Seeking Alpha is a sexy story about a wealthy alpha, an innocent omega, and the heat the create together.
Checking my review of the previous book in this series, my feelings are rather similar in that has an interesting concept and fun characters. However short and fast paced, lacks the time for relationship growth although fitting to fated mates aspect but even thats not really discussd fully.
Willy and Carson have stunning chemistry with plenty of steamy scenes which are great, however their feelings grow during time apart as find longing for each other. I did appreciate that talked about and decided to see how after time, outside of contract and impact of heat.
The dancing together and sleeping, all the cuddles and comfort. Talking about their pasts and learning more about one another was sweet too.
However the ending is rather abrupt with time skip, still cute though and very much a happy ending together! 💕
I always enjoy books by Aria Grace. This is a short but very sweet story. I loved Carson and Willy. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.
When I first read the blurb for this book I wanted to break out in song because these are literally a few of my favorite things. Omegaverse, heat sex, rent boy, dominant Alpha, I was living! But lliiikkee the execution? She wasn't it.
First off, the world this book takes place in, doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Maybe in the other books there's more world-building but it was virtually non-existent here. For me, omegaverse work best when there is some sort of logic there, even if it's ridiculous. Without something to ground it everything falls apart. The last 30% of his book made no sense. It was cute, I'll give you that, but honestly I was pretty confused.
That brings me to my biggest issue with this book. Theres a whole lot of telling and not much showing. For example, Willy (god I hate that name). He was all right. A little flat, a little 2D, but all right all things considered. But he didn't make any sense either. He's described as innocent and sweet but that's not what we see. He's actually pretty confident and super flirty. Which is fine, he is a rent boy after all. But it's a clear contradiction of the narrative the author is trying to push. If the author had just discarded the innocent omega narrative and let Willy be Willy all would've been fine. However, that's not where his story ends. Oh no my dears he has a backstory as well. A backstory that did more harm than good I think.
No spoilers, but the world this book takes place in is not the kindest to omegas. They're not like slaves and in chains but there's definitely a bit of a caste system in place and omegas are at the bottom. Willy, because of the family he was born into, was not at the bottom. He knows the world he lives in, he understands it and sees it everyday and yet for him to complain about his family and upbringing the way he did just screams privileged rich boy complaining about being privileged and rich. That is not how you garner sympathy for your characters. That is how you get a reader to dislike them immediately. He makes up for it a bit here and there but it still put a bad taste in my mouth.
Now let's talk about Carson. Unlike Willy, there wasn't a whole lot redeemable about Carson for me. He's described as a dominant alpha who's sure of himself and powerful and strong in the corporate world but we never actually see that. He acts impulsive and almost immature. That doesn't scream alpha to me. Add in the fact that he talks like someone closer to Willy's age then a grown adult and you almost question why make it omegaverse at all.
He's supposed to be swoony but how can you swoon over and alpha who doesn't act like an alpha and talks like a teenager. Like I don't know if it's explicitly stated but there's an assumed age-gap here and a hefty one at that. Willy's behavior can be excused to degree because he's a teenager put Carson? He doesn't even act like an adult. This is another example of telling, not showing. We're told all these things about him but see none of them. Also, not to be that person but his big reason for not being able to have kids and not wanting the same omega twice, come on. Really? That was a lot of hype for a reveal that was predictable and kind of a letdown.
This whole book was a choice. The smut was all right (significantly better exist but so does worse). There are weird body descriptions and by that I mean they'll be describing an action that physically the human body can't act out. I can't go into details because spoilers and my review will get flagged but we don't have three arms, I'll leave it at that. And there was just no logical flow. Characters would be overly emotional for no reason and the dialogue felt forced at times. And the pet names were cringe. They were supposed to be cute but they were cringe. Not sorry.
This really wasn't very good but to say this is a bad book would be a little harsh. I personally hated the characters (except for Heath) but that doesn't mean that somebody else might not connect with them because they weren't totally terrible. I think there was no flow and the descriptions weird but I'm a slow reader and pay attention to detail. A more normal person might not even notice these things. I'm not trying to make excuses here (because this book came out in 2019, give your characters real jobs and titles. They can all just be rich "businessman") but at the end of the day, I did finish it. It was readable and there were some (somewhat) cute moments.
So if you like omegaverse but haven't read a lot, give it a shot. However if you LOVE omegaverse and HAVE read a lot, unless you have an exponential amount of free time, move on. 2.5 stars because while not bad, it's very far from good.
The story was really good, the characters were lovable and relatable. The only problems I had was the editing. Grammar was poor throughout, names were often wrong, and there were words that looked like they just hadnt gotten erased all the way.
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the at he kids' series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or 'Liberty' from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey’s books) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times a year (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok). It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
Carson is an alpha with a certain type. He likes omegas in heat. It's not an unusual fetish, but it's definitely an expensive one. Since finding unmated omegas in heat is practically impossible without a little help, he has to pay for his pleasure. Willy is a bit of a late bloomer. This was an interesting story with a young and inexperienced omega and an alpha who had always believed his medical professionals but medicine knows nothing about fated mates. I loved their relationship which was a little strange until the dependency was more understood. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story set in the omegaverse with mature content and MPREG.
When Fate brings you together, how can you resist?
Welcome back to the world of Omega for Hire. The omegas are strong, sassy and independent. Good friends have your back, and the boss is super caring. The rich alphas have their own reasons for hiring an escort for show or other things. In the end, the final decision rests with the Omega. Carson is successful, rich, & can have any omega he wants. To bad his infertility keeps him from lasting relationships. The only way he can pretend is to spend the night with an omega in heat. No repeats. Willy has never had a heat. When the opportunity arises to contract wirh Carson, he knows the risks. But the attraction between them is as intense as it is immediate, and that's just signing the contract! Neither believes in Fated mates. However, when they can't seen to be apart from each other, things start clicking into place. After fits and starts they finally get it right. And Fate has one more trick up their sleeve. One that will leave you gasping. You will love this book! This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
Would have had 3 to 4 stars had proof reading been done. When there are words that look like they had been half way deleted, lots of words missing, names wrong and so on, there is a problem. Also alpha doesn't behave as an alpha and our innocent shy omega doesn't behave as such. It seems their descriptions somehow got REALLY MESSED UP. For some reason Alpha seemed shy, innocent and young, our omega on the other hand is full of confidence, flirts A LOT. Just seems their profiles got placed wrongly and it annoys me just as much as the grammar. It's sad, cause this book has real potential.
This book no 2 in the series was another nice and relaxing read of a life-changing date of an employee of Omega for Hire. Nothing over the top; predictable but still eith a storyline I haven’t encountered. And that’s what counts for me: how well can the author entertain me with a novel? Notwithstanding the grammatical errors which weren’t thát many (I’ve seen much worse!), I’d recommend the book because of its level of entertainment 🤓
18+ This story is very enjoyable from start to finish. Carson is an Alpha who uses an Omega service to have sex with Omegas that are in heat. Willy is the Omega chosen to force his heat for a tryst with Carson. Contracts signed, Willy forces his heat and doesn't understand why anyone would want to pay for sex with someone in heat, his own pheromones smell gross to him. He has been told that this date will be a one and done, Carson never wants the same guy a second time. What can be easier?
Another sweet story by Aria Grace! I am honestly falling in love with these novels! The strong and protective Alphas; the sweet apprehensive Omegas; and the Love that brings them together! This novel does not fail to deliver! Another great novel! I cannot give enough praise about Aria Grace's work! Thank you so much for your words! I am now permanently a fan of this Alpga-Omega world!
Omega for Hire can provide Carson satisfaction with his fetish. He likes omegas in heat. Willy is willing and able to provide the service. They are fated mates but they take their time and a lot of suffering to acknowledge it. That angst is what makes the reading interesting. Will they get together? Will they love each other or is it just the passion pulling them together? I am liking this series a lot.
Willy an omega at the firm, had only been there a short while, when a client requested his services. Carson, an alpha had a fetish where he only slept with omega's in heat, he knew was sterile. Willy agreed to the date, but once they met things went further than plan. I enjoyed their journey.
This book was better than the first, as I was able to see them work through their emotions and reach a stable relationship. Willy was an amazing character and I liked how he didn't just accept his instincts, but he went ahead with what he wanted. Here there was the idea of fated pair, which made much more sense, as it explained the quick decisions about living together and raise the child.
A quick read that has a well paced plot and an ending that's not too abrupt despite its length. It keeps the connection of Omega for Hire from the first book but the only character that really carries over is the owner. The heat fetish reason was also kinda interesting.
Again, there's an interesting premise and this time the characters are enjoyable, likeable, their relationship even if rushed and so... insta-love is acceptable within the plot.
I would've liked to see both characters developed over a longer period of time, even if within the relationship but I do like the novela as is.
I really enjoyed reading this unconventional, delightful, sexy, poignant, sweet, grab-you-by-the-feels, charming, and totally awesome twist on your typical shifter storyline. I was hooked from beginning to end, and would definitely recommend getting this gem ASAP.
I enjoyed this book as much as book one, but this book has the same issues also. There are missing words and flat out wrong words that detract from the reading experience. If this author had a good proofreader, her books would be that much more enjoyable.
This author has written some beautiful characters and wonderful scenes! It was nearly impossible to put the story down and I'm already looking forward to the next 1 in the series spirit I highly recommend this author and this book!
Very predictable but a decent read and high on the spicy side which was a plus. Even though it’s short you get a little glimpse into each character and the life situations that lead up to them coming together.
I really love this story it made me smile and cry at the same time. I am jist glad they got a happy ending and a beautiful family cannot wait to read next book in series
