Guilt-na-Zan's life has never been easy since being put into the body of a female doll but what happens when he wakes up and he's the size of a mouse? And if that wasn't enough, he then has to become a fashion model for some crazy stylists.
This has yet to disappoint me. So many characters and it does a great job of show all of them. It a great balance of slice of life, supernatural, and comedy.
I think this is my favourite Guilt-Na Tankabon so far. I got to see Dante and Mariya again literally just after saying I didn't think they were in another Tankabon, we get some backstory on Guilt-Na so we can see that even as the Vampire Aristocrat he was a decent person, and of course more cute drawings.
Now I do have a proper negative of this volume, which is why it can only be 3 stars. This volume was first published in 2006/2007, and obviously it is Japanese so there were, and still are, different connotations around acceptability. That said the way the two gay characters are demonised and portrayed is rather icky to a Western 2024 sensibility.
That aside, I am curious to see how the flashback with the ill nun ends, so here's looking forward to Tankabon 4!
Another fun instalment of this lolly goth vampire comedy. Guilt-na-Zan our vampire Lord trapped in the body of a female wax doll, mysteriously shrinks and this time Kyoji is not to blame.
The next story has legendary thieves "Phantom Thief Princess Rose" posing as gay stylists at a doll show in order to steal Guilt na a cross dressing Dante.
The last story is a flashback into the vampire Lord's past where we meet Beyoncé the beautiful young girl dying of a rare blood disorder who befriends our lonely vampire.
BESM super cute artwork with gorgeous gothic fashion make this one. The stories are daft, but the characters are engaging. Lacks substance, but its very pretty and quite funny.
This jumped to different holidays in the story. It went through Halloween and then went to Christmas and then to Valentine's Day. This made the story confusing.
