Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
Tanya works as an interior designer and he her for Killer Moms, a spy and protection company, sister to Bad Boy Inc. She's at her son's hockey tournament in Quebec when Bad Boy Devon turns up at the resort in a mission, which results in him needing a fake girlfriend. Tanya has been single since Cory''s teen dad died fifteen years ago so she's defensive of her heart and her son, but Devon is attracted to her and loves her boy too. Between the mission, her son,'s hockey tournament and Devon chasing her, she's getting very flustered but I love that she can handle a gun as well as a laptop.
Doble rasero.
For me the relationship between the teen son Cory and Devon was just as important as the one between Devon and Tanya.
The sex scenes between the main characters weren’t really my style, undulating and calling it her sex wasn’t very sexy but there aren’t many in there to worry about.
This was a fun little read if you don’t want something too deep. Who doesn’t love a badass mom.
“They didn’t call the cops.” Hockey Mom by Eve Langlais
4 stars! Such a fun fun series, such a fun book. It has the right amount of snark (sometimes the author goes overboard with snark), a hero, a heroine that don’t need no hero, a bad guy, guns, spy stuff and making the world a better place. Hahaha. Plus I wish that this org KM Realty and Design was real. I always wanted to be a super spy.
MY RATING GUIDE: Nearly 4 Stars. This was a light, tongue-in-cheek read and I was entertained.
1= dnf/What was that?; 2= Nope, not for me; 3= This was okay/cute; 3.5= I ENJOYED THIS; 4= I LIKED THIS a lot; 5= I Loved it, it was great! (I seldom give 5 Stars).
HOCKEY MOM, #2 is a Romantic Suspense novel by Eve Langlais and part of her Killer Mom series. I previously read Soccer Mom of the same series. I felt HOCKEY MOM was a less outrageous but similar tongue-in-cheek Romantic Suspense escape.
I enjoyed HOCKEY MOM but this is Not the book for everyone (see READER CAUTIONS below). The pace is fast, the humor is slightly irreverent. The action reminded me of the Sean Connery/Roger Moore James Bond era - both physical and outrageous. I smirked and snorted out loud a number of times as I breezed through HOCKEY MOM. I purchased the 4 book audio collection of KILLER MOMS by Eve Langlais (Soccer Mom, HOCKEY MOM, Cougar Mom and Tiger Mom) and will add each additional book as I complete them. HOCKEY MOM was narrated by voice artist Marie Smith who voiced both the men and women characters believably and rather well. I found HOCKEY MOM an good decompressing choice, lol, and look forward to listening to the other books.
READER CAUTIONS - Not recommended to readers who prefer Clean fiction. IMO, meant for adult readers. (The MCs are assassins). VIOLENCE - Yes. PG-13+. Irreverent & physical. Think Sean Connery Bond era. PROFANITY - Yes. Strong language is used frequently. SEXUAL SITUATIONS - Yes. Open door intimacy occurs between 2 main characters as their attraction draws them together.

3.5 stars They met on an op years ago, he was engaged at the time, girl cheated on him, he went a little wild but hasn't been with anyone in a while. The h was only with ex, 15 years ago. See each other again, only sling banter and insults for quite a bit so that's why when the end happened I just couldn't feel the love. Went from banter, to sex, to get the son back. He left without A word after their last night together for crying out loud. A bit of action, get the son back, had likeable characters...

Hilarious and entertaining about a single hockey mom meeting the Bad Boy Devon during her son’s hockey tournament in Quebec. In HOCKEY MOM, Tanya’s job an interior designer hides her real job: an operative for Killer Moms. The dialogue between Tanya and Devon is flirtation and dry wit, their attraction dances off the pages, and Tanya’s son, Cory, is one smart, cool kid who wants mom to be happy. Tanya’s past brings conflict and danger to them all. Eve Langlais uses sarcastic sense of humor to make this series a fun read!
Love this book. I listened to this book and really enjoyed it. Devlin is such a cool guy and I like how nice he is to Tanya & her son. I like how he teases her and gets her to enjoy a little. They have strong chemistry and I like their banter. The plot is interesting also. It starts with wondering what these guys are doing at the hotel they are staying to finding out her son’s father is not dead after all. It’s good action with several funny moments. This is a fun hearted book and I recommend. I can see me reading or listening to this again.
This was a cute story that was filled with mystery and surprises. Loved the mom and son duo and am glad that the mom finally let go of the past enough to give love a chance once again. The story made you laugh throughout it. This Hockey Mom holds secrets and finding out what those secrets were were some of the best parts of the story. I loved Declan & Tanya as a couple and how Declan took Tanya's son Cory as his own son. Tanya was one hot momma bear. This story was downright hilarious. Loving this series so far it's so funny.
HOCKEY MOM is the second in Eve Langlais’s Killer Moms series, and is about Tanya Brown, hockey mom and hacker extraordinaire. When she runs into Devon Spade of Bad Boys Inc, a rival firm, at the site of her son’s hockey tournament, it sets her spidey senses (and a lot else) tingling…
Devon ends up being a solid partner when Tanya’s confronted with an unexpected blast from her past, and Eve Langlais writes a completely entertaining and suspenseful story. A great series.
I just really liked these two characters! Well three, because Corey totally counts as a main character. This just felt natural, as normal as two assassins for hire connecting, having had an earlier attraction, and not acting on it, but doing so now when the time is right. Loved that they ended up together, how they ended up together, and why they ended up together <3 p.s. completely loved the moment when, as he refers to her always as Bunny, and in a note, he called himself Bear 😉
Tanya Brown was a teenager when she got pregnant, she was struggling to survive then she met Mother. Now one of the best hackers working for an elite agency, Killer Moms. She had friends she considered as her sisters, her life was great. That was until she ran into a man she thought was dead...Devon.
Devon Spade, a BAD BOY INC. operative who was on an assignment at the same ski resort as Tanya. He'd worked with the latter six years ago. She knew something was up especially when he asked her to pretend to be his girlfriend. As they spent more time together, their charade started to feel all too real.
Then her world changed again when she discovered that Cory's father, Antoine was very much alive and at the same resort as them. What was a woman to do?! Well she didn't fall into his arms that's for sure. She was pissed that he lied to her for all those years. Throughout all that Devon never left her side, he was her rock.
Then someone made the biggest mistake of his/hers life when they went after Cory. Tanya put her needs aside and did what she had to in order to get her son back. She became what she was best at, a mama bear with killer instincts. Turned out the culprit was someone from her past
Tanya and Devon finally got their second chance. Their family grew a little bigger and they couldn't be happier especially Cory.
HOCKEY MOM is the second book in Eve Langlais' KILLER MOMS series. It was fun, alluring and a must read. Another masterpiece by Eve Langlais! 5++++.
A cup of hot cocoa with large marshmallows goes a long way to get on Tanya's good side. But hey a man gotta do what a man gotta do. BBI , Devon knew he was about to loose his mind when he ran into Tanya for KM. It might've been 6years but she still had this pull over him. Now, seeing her here at The ski lodge with her kid he not only had to get her to pretend to be his girlfriend but to win over her son. While tracking down a sinister eveil(muay hahaa haww) man. Do ghost or is that zombies come back from the dead? Antoine sure did and he wants to cause trouble for his baby momma after 15years. This is the funniest Ro m com I've read this year. Leave it up to Eve Langlais to bring it to me. Wish things would have turned out better for Devon and his job but hey, you know when it's right to make a change. Tanya found my work up and smelled the roses. She took off her rose colored lens and realized Antoine wasn't what she had him on his high pedestal. This books gives it all, danger, suspense, romance, bro bonding, and second chances while keeping you enthralled.
AUDIBLE Tanya’s stupidness of pining/martyring Antoine seems more in your face in audible. You just want to slap her silly. Yes, she finally gets the blinkers off. Would have thought she’d make sure Antoine would no longer be a problem herself, rather than going the legal route. BOOK REVIEW Good fun read. Just thought 15 years a bit of a crazy unbelievable time frame for Tanya to never have dated. Loved Devon and Cory’s interactions. Thought Antoine really was a fruit cake. Let’s hope Antoine disappears for good this time.
5 star read. Great storyline, Single Mom protecting her kid, working hard to provide everything he needs, while keeping her real job secret. He worked with her in the past, and never forgot, is his current job wrapped up in why they are both in the same place at the same time? This is a stand alone, but you will want to read the entire series. Killer Moms. Nobody messes with their kids, and lives to tell about it......
What do you say to the guy you met years ago who is now pretending to be your boyfriend to protect you from your no-longer dead baby-daddy? Hockey Mom is a great story with lines that answer this question and more. Cory is the 14 year-old who plays along so his mom can date. The no-longer dead is a big give-away as to his type. Enjoy! Can't wait to read the next one in the series. I enjoyed the Bad Boys, Inc. series, too.
A crazy roundabout love story between a hockey mom named Tanya and an acquaintance who she met 6 yrs ago named Devon. When they accidentally meet again Devon is on a mission and things get complicated even more when someone Tanya thought was dead for the last 15 yrs shows up at her son's hockey match. Turns out more dangerous and sinister then she could ever imagine. Well written as always.
Hockey Mom was everything I expect from this author; funny, sexy, and wildly entertaining! The entire cast of characters had great depth and interesting dialogue, and I love how Cory was portrayed. Each character interaction felt genuine and smooth, not forced as to give the author a certain outcome. And I loved the Bunny and the Bear reference. ❤️👏👏
